being an artist and revisiting media you liked when you were 11 is like. oh ok. this shaped my sense of humor and the way I write characters and the way I pace narratives and the tropes I'm drawn to. and I vastly underestimated how much of an impact it had on me because I literally have not thought about it for 15 years. but it was there inside me the whole time. ok. ok cool! c ool

Made another oc!

Her name’s Casey Cinnabar! (She’s totally not going to be used for my au plot)

She used to be a blacksmith for a “company”, but she didn’t want to work for them anymore.

Casey to Beebs:

• Casey treats him like a little brother

• Becomes protective of Beebs over everything (even if it’s just an insult) because his smaller status (and no tusks)

• Beebs sees Casey as intimidating. He’s still nervous around Casey even after she defended him against Ajax

• Beebs believes Casey is a superior version of him, even though she’s new at being a mercenary.

Casey to Shrike:

• Shrike’s still a lil’ rascal/gremlin around Casey

• Casey tries to show off her blacksmith skills to Shrike (never again). Casey showed the process of crafting a metal sword, and when it was still scolding bright red, Shrike accidentally grabbed the blade and burnt his hand.

• That’s when she learned that Shrike really likes “flashy, bright red things”.

• “Beebs’ cool sister”

• Shrike initially was confused that there were “two” Beebs. In less than 2 seconds, Shrike starts acting like she’s an old friend.
