Quick Tip and Update
Hello friends!
A quick update on my cleanse. Today officially marks the beginning of my second week on this smoothie cleanse. I’m so proud of making it this far. Last week I decided to go on this cleanse and I really didn’t put much thought into it. As the days have progressed, I have dived deep into articles about smoothies, smoothie bowls, the benefits and most importantly the do-nots.
My overall goal is to be healthy. I want my body and body systems to run like a well-oiled engine. Meaning I want to get as much natural nutrition as I can from this cleanse.
A big mistake a lot of people make when drinking smoothies and smoothie bowls is the lack of greenery. What I mean by that is veggies. Fruits are great to mask the taste of some of these drinks but when making a truly nutritional smoothie there needs to be a majority of 70/30 (veggies to fruit) in the ingredients.
Remember that some fruits contain larger amounts of sugar, so you will want to limit your day consumption of these. Variety is key in making you and your taste buds happy but resist the urge to add additives such as roasted coconut flakes or dried berries to your smoothie bowls; this only adds unnecessary sugars and could spike your sugar levels.

Day 7
To clarify, this cleanse was not a part of my original plan. This was something I’ve wanted to do but never really give it much thought. I’ve always entertained the idea of losing weight, but I don’t think smoothies was a part of those thoughts. I’ve always felt just comfortable enough that I didn’t feel the need for a healthier diet because I thought I ate healthy enough.
So… after so many years, what motivated me? Heatbreak.
Sounds cliché but is true. I’m turning twenty-eight at the end of this year, that’s 2 years from thirty.
The one thought that always comes to my mind, I should be married by now.
Regardless of our rocky past, I based a lot of my future plans with my ex in the picture. I’m at a point where I have to figure it all out alone after five years. Which is ok, I don’t mind it. However, I miss the companionship and closeness I felt with him, I just miss him. It’s hard to force what you don’t want but we have to focus on what will fulfill us in the long run.
Today, I’ve officially marked 7 days off my sixty-day board. I’m proud of myself for even accomplishing seven days! I hope to celebrate this small victory, but I pray to make it to the finish line.

Beginning
How much weight do you really want to lose? Is 90 pounds in 60 days possible? Ever since my early teens I have been overweight. Such a foul sounding word when you think about it, overweight. As the years have passed I have just gotten used to being overweight. That does not mean I’m happy or ok about it. Honestly, I do not even wear tank tops because I don’t like how my arms look, imagine that. I have confidence in myself; I know I have a beautiful face, but I carry my emotional and mental baggage, physically on my person. The pain of my past can be seen beneath this skin it’s buried so deep into my being that I do not know how to not be fat. I do not want to continue living like this. I have not pushed myself to be the best, healthiest me and it shows. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new month, and the beginning of a new chapter in my life. For the next 60 days, I will drink nothing but fresh pressed juice and water. I will also give up alcohol completely and smoke pot occasionally, which are two vices I do if not on the regular, pretty damn near. I do not want to give up on myself. I always do things like this impulsively and then quit a few days into it. I will not give into my doubts, I cannot keep punishing myself by turning to food for comfort. Please pray for me in the days to come, I’m going to need it.

My First Post! Will it be deep?
For a long time I've wanted to write some sort of blog. A blog today, maybe a vlog tomorrow... Who knows I may just be the “next biggest thing”! However, today we start small. Let’s begin with a brief introduction; hello, all my name is Amy and I have a chronic case of the dabbles. Also known as, get my feet wet but never submerge. I want to take some major steps toward changing that this year, it is believed that taking the time to write about such goals helps in the manifestation.
