The concept of the infinite library has been explored by authors such as Lewis Carroll, Terry Pratchett, Umberto Eco and Jorge Luis Borges. Library of Blabber is a free video game based on the Borges’ short story “The Library of Babel”, which imagines an endless library which holds all the possible books of the universe, and on Jonathan Basile’s libraryofbabel.info project.
In the words of the developer, @nothke, “this ‘little’ game is focused on exploration and the fun of meaningful discoveries in the noise of random data. Although it does not posses the mathematical correctness and “purity” of the original story, it still does contain enough pages of nonsense worthy of several hundred lifetimes…”.

damn i really procrastinate like it's my job. except if it were my job id prolly procrastinate it too. so maybe i don't procrastinate like it's my job and only like it's a hobby? or a habit i can't quite kick? i guess then we've come full circle and i am no longer making a metaphor and have instead logicked myself into admitting my procrastination is a bad habit.
i suppose this is the true tragedy of reason.
i will leave you, dear reader, with some tunes as i actually properly for real this time go do work. enjoy!
(i really like this track, it reminds me of rainy winter nights dashing across the streets of home in 2017. good times.)
#yet again i procrastinate too much#i have so much reading left to catch up on hrngg#pain#there is only pain#KOHH#ramblings#Spotify

There are stories only you have to tell, because there is no one who looks at the world in the way you do. There is no one else who listens to the whispers tucked in a soft breeze or understands the wilting petals whimpering. There is no one who feels the earth in the way you do. You are the one.

an espresso and a couple of piano instrumentals on spotify later, i have made the sketch
after many years of not even a single doodle in the corner of a notebook, i only really started drawing again in the last few months so im still quite out of practice. i need to keep working on getting faces right, but for now im happy with this. i dont think you have to be particularly good at art to get something out of it. despite the fact i have plenty of work to do, i have found procrastinating by listening to good music and doing some sketches makes me feel productive and doesnt make me hate myself as much as other procrastination methods usually do. whether this is a good or bad thing, i don't know. but at least for now i feel very zen and quite happy. perhaps ill get started on some work now.
#i procrastinate too much#sketches#sketchbook#espresso#playing piano for dad is one of my favourite albums of all time#like wow it's so soothing and makes me feel like im not wasting my time even if im doing absolutely nothing at all#also lmao my handwriting sucks i need to fix that if im going to be adding titles to all my sketches

i wanna sketch this.... I'm gonna sketch this
also damn i watched the good place for the first time at the beginning of quarantine and I loved it so much. even though it's kind of philosophy for dummies and at its core remains a fun tv show more than a philosophical text, i think it does a good job of introducing people to some basic philosophical (particularly existential) ideas. watching it certainly got me interested in reading some more philosophy and got me thinking of death in a new way. it also somewhat was the kicker that inspired me to draw again and even write a few things here and there. so, all things considered, i think it's a pretty good show and more people should watch it especially if they are curious about big philosophical ideas yet looking for a more digestible way of approaching them. maybe i shall rewatch it by end of year.
