Vehicles can be used for private as well as commercial use, so both types of vehicle usage have a different style of license plate.
You can easily recognize the purpose of the vehicle by looking at the vehicle’s number plate. Regional Transport Office issues the number plate and placed in the front and back side of the vehicle. In the number plate, the initial two letters denote the state or the region of the vehicle such as DL, UP, MH, KL, etc. And, the digits signify the district where the vehicle was registered. India has IND as an International registration code and every Vehicle has a unique set of numbers.
Generally, the number plate comes under the following combination of color:

Today, we are discussing various types of number plates in detail:

The vehicles charged money by providing services are known as commercial vehicles. The vehicles having yellow with black letters are used for commercial purposes by taxi, trucks, cabs, etc.
The yellow plate with a black letter has to different criteria for paying taxes and sets of rules to follow as compared to number plates having white color, also a commercial driving permit is important for this type of number plate. Also, the set of rules for licensing differs according to the size of the commercial vehicle.
2. Number plates with an arrow:
The vehicles used by the military have their own unique style of number plate. The vehicles having a number plate with an arrow are used by the army which is also known as military vehicles. The Ministry of Defense in New Delhi registers these vehicles for military, also the number plate portrays about when the vehicle was procured.
These vehicles have an upward arrow on their registration plate. Also, they have an upward arrow in starting and then the sequence of letters and numbers but in few vehicles, the upward arrow is placed in the 3rd position. And, the numbers are also painted on the vehicle’s side.

Also, vehicles with such types of number plates are most common in big cities. There are so many companies providing rental services in which a customer can hire a vehicle having this type of number plate for a certain period of time but make sure the customer has a valid driving license for LMV.
5. Blue plates with white writing:
Vehicles having a different scheme of color for registration plate which is blue plates with white writing are known as diplomatic vehicles. The Green plates with white letters are legally applicable for electric buses as well as electric commercial vehicles on the road.

Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission
In this Modern world, there are so many varieties in Cars as well as plenty of options available for drive-trains such as four-wheel drive and front-wheel drive, choices in engine type like electric and conventional gas, there are enormous possibilities when you are shopping for your vehicle.
So, you also have to make another important decision before buying your vehicle is which type of transmission you want. So, today we are discussing the two different types of transmission- Manual and Automatic.
In a manual transmission, shifting gears is the responsibility of the driver but in an automatic transmission, shifting is done by the vehicle itself. Basically, in the manual transmission, you have to do everything manually while driving your vehicle in which you have to physically shift your vehicle by using shift knob and clutch pedal into different gears.
While in the Automatic transmission does the grunt job for you like changing the gear smoothly when you push on the gas pedal. Hence, the question becomes whether to choose manual transmission or automatic transmission?
Basics of Transmission:
Transmission is an important part of your vehicle, it is a metal case that consists of a series of gears. Transmissions help your vehicle is moving forward by applying the power which is created by the vehicle engine.
The basic role of the transmission is to control the right amount of power which goes to the wheels and determines that you are driving at the right speed. The two main elements of transmission are Shaft and Gears.
The shaft is used to take energy from the engine to help the vehicle move, whereas Gears helps in determining the range of speed you can reach. Each gear runs in a specific ratio to make sure that wheels and engines do not spin at equal speed.
Features of Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission:
Manual Transmission-
Generally, drivers who prefer to do everything manually of their vehicle such as manual transmission in which it assigns the shifting of engine gears over to the driver. Manual transmission is preferred by many drivers due to the following features-
1- Inexpensive- Manual Transmission is less expensive as compared to the Automatic transmission for the same model. The buyers who prefer to do car shopping in a budget, then there is no point of comparison between Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission.
2- Easy Maintenance- An Automatic transmission requires high maintenance and cost you heavily to keep running properly. But Manual Transmission requires less maintenance as compared to Automatic Transmission. Even if there is a requirement of repairing and fixing problems in manual transmission, it will not cost you much. But the only problem in a manual transmission is “Clutch” if the clutch doesn’t work properly then it could be trouble for you.
3- Good Fuel Efficiency- Manual transmission is less complicated, has lesser weight, and consists more gears than automatic transmission which gives you the best result in terms of covering more kilometers as compared to Automatic transmission. So, the manual transmission saves fuel costs up to 15% which is economically beneficial for drivers.
4- Easy to Control- Manual Transmission allow drivers to have all the control over their vehicle. Undoubtedly, Automatic transmission is best in choosing gear for all the situations, but it has some disadvantages like shifting too high of a gear which leads to wastage of engine power. As they are designed to respond to different conditions that they encounter, so they don’t allow the driver to prevent the approaching trouble.
Automatic Transmission-
Within the past few years, Automatic transmission has replaced the manual transmission. An automatic transmission is very popular but it is still not a good choice for many drivers. But, they do have some good features as compared to manual transmission such as-
1- Restricted to manual inputs- In modern times, most of the new drivers are learning the safest way to drive by keeping both hands gently on the wheel always while driving. This can be done only on the automatic transmission, but it is not possible in manual transmission.
2- Easy to operate- Even though there is no difficulty in working a clutch and shifting gears, but still mostly drivers take more time and practice to get comfortable in learning manual transmission. But Automatic transmission is much easier and simpler for drivers because it takes lesser time to learn.
3- Better for heavy traffic- In an automatic transmission, drivers can easily move their vehicles without pushing the pedal more than once. This is not a problem but manual transmission vehicles require time to get up to speed, it becomes difficult for drivers to constantly start and then stop the vehicle.
4- Useful in hilly areas- Mostly, it is difficult to manage the manual transmission vehicle in the hilly areas for less experienced drivers. But, Automatic transmission can fix all the issues by operating smoothly itself, regardless of how steep inclines are present in hills.
What are the Pros & Cons for Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission?
Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission: Pros
Manual Transmission-
1- The driver got more indulge in the inner working of the vehicle.
2- The driver can fully control the gears and shift.
3- Manual transmission is quite cheap as compared to Automatic transmission.
4- Requires low-cost maintenance and repair for transmission.
Automatic Transmission-
1- Convenient for drivers in heavy traffic.
2- The majority of modern vehicles have Automatic transmission.
3- Easy to learn and automatic shiftable transmission for drivers.
4- Offers the best mileage, smoother, and quicker transmission shifts.
Manual Transmission Vs Automatic Transmission: Cons
Manual Transmission-
1- Manual Transmission took a longer time to get speed up in heavy traffic.
2- It requires careful control on hills to prevent rolling or stalling back.
3- Limited choices of vehicle offering a manual transmission.
4- Have the learning Curve and clutch gives pain.
Automatic Transmission-
1- Automatic Transmission is more expensive as compared to Manual Transmission.
2- Due to several moving parts, it leads to an increase in repair costs.
3- If you pass in driving lessons for automatic transmission then you will get the only license for automatic and not for manual transmission vehicles.
4- For drivers who love to do inner working manually, then driving in Automatic transmission vehicle is not fun.
Which Transmission is suitable for you?
So, Choosing which type of transmission is best suitable for you is dependent upon your preference and need. If you have to do a lot of city driving, then automatic transmissions vehicle is best suitable for you because it would be easier to get speed up in the heavy traffic as compared to a manual transmission.
But, if you are considering driving experience and performance, then you should choose manual transmission. Moreover, test driving will let you know which type of transmission is best suitable for you because you are the only one who needs to use the vehicle.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)|All You Need To Understand
A single scratch on your car can make you upset, right? Car’s paint needs a permanent solution to stay protected from all the scratches to make your car look brand new and shiny all the time. So, we need Paint Protection Film for our car to prevent scratches and keep the shiny look every time. Paint Protection Film (PPF) is considered one of the finest ways to maintain the shine and quality of the car. PPF will keep the car look newer for longer duration without altering the color or design feature by shielding the sensitive areas such as a hood, side mirrors, front bumpers, door edges, rear fender panels, door handle cavities, and rocker panels.
This mind-blowing material is made up of thermoplastic urethane film which is ductile as well as self-curing which makes it impeccable Car PPF. The Car PPF provides full protection from the sun by working as a protective layer between paint and sun to prevent fading. Also, Car PPF is invisible to see from naked eyes so, during the protection of your car from unsightly scratches and chips, it won’t destroy the aesthetic of the car.
Evolution of PPF
During the period of 1960s, the US Department was experiencing major issues with helicopter rotor blades as well as other delicate military equipment were damaged due to the flying shrapnel or debris. Then, they contacted 3M Corporation to develop a protective layer/film that should be transparent.
The purpose of the transparent protective film was to protect glossy-ness to the surface. The PPF helped in keeping helicopter blades protected from sandy and harsh environments. Also, the engineers realized the fact that PPF can be easily replaced and more cost-effective than repairing the damaged blades. This whole process leads to the creation of a paint protection film.
Now, Car service providers are growing their business and making money by selling PPF. The demand for PPF has immensely increased in today’s world for every part of the car. Over time there have been significant improvements were made for setting up installation easily and coloration of PPF. Also, the thickness of the PPF has changed over time, now the car PPF is thinner and more flexible as per various curves and shapes of the car.
Types of Paint Protection Film:
Earlier 3M manufactures the Paint Protection Film (PPF) for Cars, but now several manufacturers offer the paint protection film for automobile applications. The name of other leading Paint Protection Film products (PPF) for cars includes Xpel Paint Protection Film, Suntek Paint Protection, Llumar Platinum.
The 3M’s Paint Protection Film (PPF) for cars is sold under multiple categories of brand names, few of them are:
Clear Wrap
Clear Bra
Car Scratch Protection Film
Clear Mask
Invisible Shield
Rock Chip Protection

For a scratchless car, we recommend you to get Paint Protection Film (PPF) for cars. You can visit Mekvahan for car wrapping, Car detailing, Paint Protection Film, Car Coating, and much more!
Disadvantages of Paint Protection Film:
1. Might reduce the shinning of the car’s paint.
2. Chances of discoloring and producing a yellowish-glow, for this you should be very careful while applying the PPF product on car, make sure that you purchase good quality PPF.
3. PPF is not a DIY solution, you need professional assistance for perfect automobile Paint Protection Film.
4. If the PPF is damaged then it requires complete replacement.
5. It can damage the paint if you didn’t replace it and left for too long.
6. Due to improper prep techniques or poor installation of the PPF can cause damage, because of this major issue we suggest you go for an experienced PPF installer.
Steps To Install PPF in Cars:
1. Prep and Clean the Surface:
Generally, installers use a good degreased agent to vanish off the debris, rather than polish or wax. However, some of the installers apply detailed polish and wax on the car before installing the Paint Protection Film to enhance the shine.
2. Cutting the Paint Protection Film to fit in different sections:
After preparing the car paint, the installer has to cut the Paint Protection Film for the installation process. Mostly, the installer cut the Paint Protection Film to install in the different sections such as quarter panel, hood, door, rocker panels, and other sections which are less than 5 feet square. Later, they prepare PPF for installation by lining up.
3. Spray Activator:
For the installation of PPF Car bra, it requires an activator- also known as Fitting Solution. The Fitting solution allows the Paint Protection Film to activate the ‘’glue-like” substance, which sticks to the paint surface for reducing stain potential. The fitting solution changes as per the brand of Paint Protection Film, it has ranged from basic water to soap-like substance.
4. Applying & Fitting Paint Protection Film:
Applying and Fitting PPF is not an easy task as it does not fit perfectly immediately after applying the PPF. The PPF requires a series of spraying, squeegee, and moving the Paint Protecting Film. While the PPF is in the right position, the installer uses the squeegee to eliminate the bubbles and creases in the film.
5. Final Step Heat-Activating:
After fitting the Paint Protection Film, and eliminating the bubbles, the final step is heat-activating or Drying. The installer uses an Industrial heat gun which helps in activating adhesive which sticks the PPF to the body and provides the tight-fitting.
Paint Protection Film (PPF) for cars is an amazing way to protect your car from scratches and damages. It provides a protective layer that acts as a safeguard to your car’s shine and improves resale value. Feel free to contact Mekvahan for quality service and professional PPF installation of Paint Protection Film (PPF) for Cars or any other vehicle.
