She actually skipped a few grades and was even invited to study at Stanford. This was while she studied at Kyoto University, becoming attached to another student there. However, her feelings were unrequited, and though she believed that her crush should be the one to go. However, she was unable to go because she was going into a government job, so Mari took the offer. 

It was later that she received an offer—this time to go as an undercover operative in a rather prestigious school. She’d heard the rumors before, how the school was supposedly haunted, or that there was something strange going on there. Intrigued, she took the job, figuring it would be interesting if it turned out there really was something going on at this school.

Personality: Mari is actually very enigmatic. She makes it hard to tell what she’s really thinking. She presents two sides of herself, one that is energetic and bright, even mischievous at times, and one that is quieter and more internalized. She also doesn’t seem to care much for personal boundaries and has no issue getting uncomfortably close to others. Mari can also be aggressive at times, if the situation calls for it and lives very freely. She could care less about gender roles and would just as easily wear a suit or a dress.

Biography:

Yunan didn’t remember much of his childhood, but he always knew that he was a Magi from the start, and that he had some sort of purpose to live whilst being born upon this land. Growing in the Sacred Place, Yunan didn’t have much time to be a child, and skipped his childhood altogether. When he was finally allowed out into the open world, Yunan already knew what he had to do and went off searching the world, learning everything he had to learn and gain as much knowledge as possible, fulfilling his duty as a Magi as he did so.

Yunan fought many battles alongside a chosen King Candidate, but he knew that it wasn’t for him. After these battles and guidance that he had done with many of his candidates, Yunan decided to wander, moving on from his current location and moving along the world once more. He wasn’t really under anyone’s affiliation, so he felt like a free bird in this world of his.

All of this wandering happened 9 times, as he grew old, died and then came back as his previous self, being born back in the SacredPlace. He knew that there was a reason for this, so he decided to search for the answer once more, as the Guardian of the Scared Place wouldn’t tell him the answer that he wanted.

Stumbling across Meimon, Yunan decided to teach people all he knew about World History, since he had been alive for 9 generations he knew a lot about it. The blond enjoyed his new job, and despite having the duties of a Magi to take care of, Yunan still stayed put and  taught here in this school, doing both at once.

Personality:

Yunan is a kind, caring person who likes to help people if needed. He has the ability to see people who are ‘Miracles’ and has the power to sense people and their ruhk to see if they are Magi or not. He also enjoys raising dungeons that grant people who are worthy obtain the power of Djinn, the abilities to become King. He enjoys travelling, and has often been seen doing so. He has travelled around the world, and enjoyed seeing every single part of it. If he becomes scared, he tends to cry easily though he is calm and wouldn’t get angered at anyone who caused the fear, unless it harms others around him.

Yunan is afraid of certain King Candidates due to them being too perfect for it. He is also growing older and his powers are becoming weaker, which makes him more and more worried about himself and protecting others, so he doesn’t tend to fight anymore. He is sympathetic to the Fanalis, and will often help them more than other people, considering that he is the Guardian of the Great Rift. He also cares for them like his own, and will even train them with their Magoi usage if it’s needed.

He has a bad habit of showing up whenever he is less expected to, and disappears the same way as well. Due to his magic, he can do this with ease.

RP Sample:

The blond 30 year old man walked down the corridors towards the classroom that he had been given in order to give out his lectures. Per usual, there was a happy cheerful smile upon his lips as he walked forwards, excited about his first day at school! He was certain that he was going to be a good teacher as he had the right attitude, but he also knew that there was much experience to gain and things to learn before he was a perfect teacher, but was there really such thing as a perfect teacher? Well only the future will decide for him. Yunan wasn’t dressed in a suit at all as he entered the school. He wasn’t sure of the dress code before entering so he was wearing his normal clothing, which were a little tattered with the ware and tear that they had received, as well as his green Magician’s hat. He was highly comfortable right now!

His eyes scanned his surroundings as he walked through the hallways that lead to his destination. It was such a grand building! He felt like he had made the best decision that he had ever done besides travel everywhere. It’s what fuelled his choice, so it needed to be the best thing. Yunan’s eyes then looked within a door as he stopped walking, taking the appearance of the unoccupied classroom that was now his own. He was over the moon as he entered the place, running his hand over the desk that was in front of the whole class. It was where he was going to be sitting at to work, so he needed to enjoy everything about the class, and it hadn’t failed to impress him. His smile grew longer as he finished looking around the classroom, liking everything about it.

"I am going to enjoy this class. My expectations weren’t enough to prepare me for this place."

Yunan spoke to himself as he tried out the chair that was at the teacher’s desk, looking at the class from the desk, and to be honest it was a little nerve-wracking, but it wasn’t anything that Yunan couldn’t handle. He was a Magi after all! Even if that was to be hidden and pushed to the back of his mind. He was a normal human being living here with the rest of them, so he was to be treated like one. Like a normal human being that is giving the children a gift of knowledge about the world that surrounded them. This sounded like a perfect life to him. He nodded to himself before speaking to himself once more, determination starting to burn within his eyes.

"I will do all I can to succeed! It is defiantly a decision that I will not regret."

This had left the world in ruins and warfare broke out. After his parents became deceased, he was raised by his grandmother. Noel falls out of Etro’s Gate over Valhalla and is saved by a woman known as Lightning, originally not from Valhalla. Recognizing Noel from a vision she had had, Lightning tells him to guide her sister Serah to Valhalla and work together with her to change the future. She gives him a moogle named Mog to keep Serah safe and covers Noel’s escape, but he unforntunately had lost most of his memories. Arriving with the Time Gate’s meteorite form in New Bodhum, Noel comes to Serah’s aid when she is attacked by monsters. She tells him she saw Noel with Lightning and Mog in a dream. He tells her that he is from 700 years in the future and offers to take her to her sister’s side once again. The meteorite is a Time Gate and Noel tells Serah that Lightning is waiting just on the other side. However, a time paradox happened and Noel was separated from both Mog and Serah. He wound up in an unknown part and in a school known as Meimondaigaku. Trying to find a way to get back to Serah and to pass the time, Noel enrolls in the school whilst also trying to find a gate and a solution to get to where Serah is before it’s too late. Personality: Noel is a cocky and confident guy who likes to always speak in a straightforward manner. He is also very cheerful and is always excited to explore the unseen and new including when it comes to meeting new faces. Noel can be caring to those he’s close with, also grabbing at a protective side as well. He finds it easy to remain calm in most given situations and it also takes a while for his fuse to short. When it comes to his beliefs and opinions, he is also very admant on them and finds it hard to be corrected otherwise. RP Sample: A comet? A shooting star? Noel’s eyes glanced upon the dazzling skies above him, perched on a ledge of a wall as his legs dangled beneath him. It wasn’t a cold night after all and what better way to spend a clear night than to stargaze. Noel had always had a small spot for stargazing. It made him feel pretty relaxed. A soft whisper of breeze floated along and brushed the brunette’s locks slightly as he continued to stare for a moment. "… It seemed like only yesterday we were together." It was hard to admit it, but he did miss Serah. Just what had happened? It wasn’t an accident that’s for sure. It was done on purpose, and Noel had a pretty good idea as to who had done this to him. It seemed blantantly obvious being as it was that person who was opposed to their travels. Still, Noel was going to get Serah back. He had to. Biography: Ritsu lived with her parents and her younger brother. Despite Ritsu seemed irresponsible, it seems that he respected her, as she is his elder. She was never good at school subjects. Her childhood friend, Mio helped her study in the past, but her parents wanted to see her doing things on her own, and sent her to Sir Walter’s. She was only glad that she’d still be able to play her drums there.

Personality: Ritsu is an energetic young girl who plays the drums. She’s usually very upbeat, but can’t seem to remember things like handing in important papers or certain dates. She’ll work towards her goals, despite being rather lazy sometimes. She mostly thinks of having fun with her friends rather than darker desires. She dislikes school and studying, and would rather play and eat snacks than rehearse or do homework. Despite not liking practice, she loves playing her drums. Ritsu can also be sarcastic, but being in a bad mood is almost out of the question, and the air may feel heavier when she is in one. She is very athletic, and is only truly good in gym class. She is a tomboy (a childish one), and rarely shows a girly side.

As this is an AU setting, feel free to edit the biography to the setting as you may~): Neko was a survivor of the Kagutsu Crater incident, and lived with her mother and father. Her powers were strange, but they proved to be fun for her. And it was even more fascinating to discover that while it affected people, a cat was unaffected. She would later come to find out that her parents weren’t really her parents and had actually created an unintentional illusion. They had lost their son in the incident and her abilities made them believe she was their daughter. Distressed, she released the illusion and fled after being called a monster by the couple.

But she was inspired by a book her father used to read and decided to live like a cat. She began calling herself Neko and relied only on herself. It was only a matter of time before the right person caught wind of her abilities and extended a welcome to her. How can she argue with free food and a bed to sleep in?  Personality (Please be as detailed as possible, and please make this 1 paragraph minimum): Neko is bright and cheerful, being a very playful young woman. She’s incredibly childish and naive and often views her actions as helpful—even though they may not necessarily be helpful. This childlike personality of hers also results in her being extremely selfish, whether she is stealing food or altering someone’s memories. Still, she is incredibly loyal and affectionate. But she’s also rather immodest. She doesn’t like wearing clothes, and now she has to wear them all the time. RP Sample (This is where you show us what you’ve got! Did people actually enjoy it here? She tilted her head to the side, watching the courtyard with interest. Mismatched eyes took in her surroundings, the other students milling about. This was still such a strange place. It seemed kind of boring to her. But maybe there was just something she wasn’t seeing yet.

Then a delicious smell reached her nose and her eyes lit up. There was no mistaking it! Fish! She hopped off her perch with ease, eagerly following the scent. How could she possibly resist? Especially when it smelled so good..!

Neko found the source not too far from her, sitting on a table as innocently as ever. She crept over, intending to sneak off with it, until she noticed a person was already sitting there. She stared, eyes flicking from the fish to the person as she peeked over the edge of the table.
