Studying abroad in Greece with three of my best friends and my trusty purple backpack from 4th grade. You can expect lots of pictures of food.

Spent the morning helping finishing paint a local pre-k and kindergarten, and spent the afternoon scouting out locations for my research project. Things I learned: -It's cool that people in America love to volunteer. That's not huge in Greece, and sometimes communities suffer for it. - It's all fun and games until you get sea urchin spines stuck in your foot.

Spent the day driving around the island with Eleni and Aliki, eating fresh figs and watermelon on the beach, and supporting our favorite gelato shop. You could say I'm in a rough patch.

Greece knows how to do field trips. Also I'm now capable of ordering Greek coffee in Greek.

Attempting to use up all the leftover Briam vegetables before leaving for Croatia. Ask us how bomb the sauce was.

9.17.15 Tonight we went and had dinner at Eleni’s house. She made us fried cheese, Greek salad, tzatziki, chicken sausage, lentils, and this traditional Greek pasta and it was all so so amazing. These pictures were taken ON TOP OF HER HOUSE. Like, how is this real? I would give anything to live in a house like hers!

9.12.15 Today was probably the best day of my life. We went on a 9 hour boat ride around around Aegina where we stopped at surrounding islands to swim in the sea, we went snorkeling in a few caves, we jumped off the boat many times, the captain caught sea urchins which we ate with basil (you eat the inside eggs of the colored females and every female has five eggs that makes a star), and we finished the day with a BBQ on the beach (BBQ rooster, pita, tzatziki, Greek salad, pork kabobs, and watermelon and peaches for dessert). It was the peak of my existence probably.

It’s our first real day off, so we got up early and spent our morning in the Aegean at “Aqua loca” beach until the sun became unbearable and we trekked back for some home made lunch #ilovesundays

Welcome to our beautiful home in Aegina!! There is no air conditioning, you can’t flush toilet paper, and you have to hold the shower head in order to wash your hair. But it’s super adorable and the view is magnificent and we love it!
