What was it with people and being able to bribe them with chocolate lately? Was everyone turning back to being a child? He didn’t really like the stuff himself so maybe that was part of the reason as to why it never appealed to him as much as it did to the other believers. Even the Savior was eating chocolate these days. Made the idea to make chocolate flavoured Elixir appealing though. “Hot chocolate it is then”, he agreed as he stepped closer in order to walk by her side. Least this meant he no longer had to follow after her, though she had seemed clueless to being stalked. Why was she chosen to join RFA when she seemed so naive? It made him rather curious, “I do hope that I never startled you too much”

“I’m not old enough to be your dad”, he sighed, not taking his eyes away from the monitor as he continued to type away. It wasn’t uncalled for - for Sehun to be annoyed with the discovery that he was being used as a test subject. No one liked being such a thing. Only animals were seen as being allowed to be. And even then only non ‘cute’ animals. He tapped his foot against the ground before spinning around on his chair to watch Sehun. “Yes. The prisoner in question had been cleansed four times. His sanity was all but gone and so I put his body to use. His sacrifice shall make sure that I know of which strength of the Elixir to give to sick believers without risking death...so he didn’t die in vain, see?”. He gave a small shrug, obviously not understanding the reason as to why Sehun may be rather surprised. That prisoner was nothing more than an empty shell of a human being. “Well it’s a good job you’re not useless then, isn’t it?”
medic-kyran:
The blonde fixed the younger male was a look that suggested he was rather bored by what was currently being asked. It felt as though Sehun was attempting to get under his skin on purpose and the boy would do well to avoid causing such a conflict between them. “He had a fever but I then made it worse to see the effect the Elixir would have on someone who was rather ill”, he crossed his arms, “And that resulted in death. If you wish to not join him then I suggest you are as open as you can be about your symptoms… or I can just inform the Savior about how useless you have become” He turned back to his computer, pulling up Sehun’s medical records and entering in new data. “As long as you continue to be useful to me then I shall be able to keep you safe…understand?”
“ Yes, yes, daddy. “, honestly, his rambling was more annoying than his father’s. So that name did fit him perfectly. Do this, do that. When would people stop telling him, what to do? Letting himself fall into a chair, the younger one too now rolled with his eyes and… wait… “ You made it worse? “, what even was the meaning behind this?! Shouldn’t he find something, that makes it better? Instead of looking, what would happen if someone ill took it? Sehun frowned deeply, as he thought back at those words. Would he try to make his worse too? Or did he just overthink about his own safety?
Aah, but he couldn’t just stop taking the elixir. The savior wouldn’t like that. “ Aah, how cruel. They’d surely recleanse me, if you tell them I’m useless… “, whichw as something he should avoid for real… “ …or I end up in the prisons next. Just thinking about it makes me feel cold… “

This wasn’t a side that anyone ever got to see to Kyran, other than those he actually cared about though anyone looking at the relationship between himself and Sehun may be surprised to learn that the elder medic did care for the younger. He’d saw him tossing and turning in his sleep and had placed his experiments off to one side, pulling Sehun into his arms and trying to give some form of comfort. He wasn’t the best type of person to be comforting but he was trying. His hand moved up to run gently through Sehun’s hair as he shook his head. “It wasn’t real. You’re right here and safe”, he gently rocked him back and forth trying to help to bring him back from the nightmare that had spooked him so. Everyone in these walls seemed to be haunted by their past and Kyran didn’t need or want to know the specifics. He simply wished to help and calm him. Nightmares affected the weak and the strong. No one was safe. “You alright? You back in reality?”

He smiled a little at her reaction. She certainly seemed rather naive - which he had guessed would be the case given how easy it seemed to have been to lure her to some strangers apartment and to live there even for a while. With a bomb. He wondered if she knew about that detail but for now, that didn’t matter. He was simply here to learn a little more about the girl that they were planning on using. He smiled lightly. “I’m sorry did I startle you? I never meant to scare you or anything. Sharon? That’s a pretty name. I’m Kai. It’s a pleasure to meet you. May I take you for a coffee sometime? I would like the chance to talk more, if your willing to give it”

medic-kyran:
It seemed as though the best method of avoiding such useless questions by the blonde as by stuffing something in his mouth. He raised an eyebrow as he watched him, waiting for the small peep to go off before pulling the instrument out from his mouth and marking down the temperature that was recorded before handing over a glass of water. “Here - you’ve got a slight fever but really nothing too troublesome. In the future tell me when you are in pain - alright?”
“ Oh, really? Did you know? That doesn’t need to mean anything! Did the prisoner have a fever? I don’t thinks so. “, probably it didn’t get even checked. Aah, how did he get into this mess? First he became this guy’s apprentice and now? Now he became a test subject. This better not be deadly to him.
“ Basically, I’d be an uninteresting test subject, if I say nothing, right? “, so just saying nothing would be the best. Perhaps, the medic would find someone more fitting then, who would complain over each little thing… and Sehun would be left alone with such things. At least that was, what he hoped for.

“The last prisoner died so you were the next best choice” He didn’t seem to bother at all. About the death or Sehun’s distaste at being the new subject. All that Kyran cared about was research and advancing the formula of the Elixir into something that one day may be easy to mass produce. A simple little task. Sehun should be thanking him for actually be useful. “You’re not going to die”, he rolled his eyes a little and turned around to stick a thermometer into his mouth, “Keep this there for a few moments - let’s see if you have a fever or not”
“ Didn’t you just say, the last prisoner d- hmpf. “
His flood of words got stopped instantly, to not lose the thermometer. Oh, great. That it couldn’t kill him, got an even more faked sound now. Mostly, after someone already had died before him. Which didn’t have a reassuring sound to the blonde.
Yet. He could only complain in many ‘hmhm’ - sounds, instead of words, right now… at least, until the thermometer would give the usual ‘peep’ sound.

“I’m supposed to be looking over you” He frowned as he turned to glare down at the younger blonde. At times this boy could really test his patience as Kyran wasn’t so sure if he wasn’t doing it on purpose these days. It wasn’t any of his business? Sehun was here to help him, to make his job easier and yet most days it could feel as though the kid just kept getting in his way instead. “I gave you a new batch so if it’s hurting that badly then I need to know. I’m trying to find the perfect balance and you are my test subject for now”
“ Ha?! “
Why did he just learn about this now? Being someone’s test subject… he honestly didn’t get paid enough for that. Then again, he didn’t get paid at all. “ Find someone in your height to do such stuff! What if you overdose it?! “.
Sehun himself was rather avarage for an Asian. Yet, there were taller ones in Mint Eye, just like his mentor. “ I’m too young to die for your shit. “

“Has anyone else been inside the lab while I’ve been gone?” He didn’t mean for this to sound as much like an interrogation like it was turning into be, but it was rather obvious he was rather annoyed about his work being tampered with. The Savior had came up with the original Elixir but it was Kyran who had modified it. Increased it’s strength, made the drink rather addictive so believers would keep needing it even if they hated the bitter taste. All for making sure that they would be saved in the end. Paradise would come to those who didn’t fight against him. Plus - magenta had the perfect test subjects. Any believer to fall, to be turned aside from the Savior became his own little toy. He couldn’t really complain about this set up at all. “It was a new formula but I believe it’s been tampered with”, he sighed, placing the bloodied glass shards on the table before he took some antibiotic gel and rubbed it into Sehun’s hands not all too carefully, “Didn’t you realise it seemed different?”
medic-kyran:

He stood there before the confused looking blonde, watching as the blood dripped from his hands and taking note of the confusion in his eyes. Usually, Kyran would be able to tell whenever Sehun was lying and it didn’t seem as though this was one of those times. “…right well come here so I can see to your hands”, he instructed as he pulled out a pair of tweezers and gently set Sehun down on the nearby stool, lifting up his hands and starting to gently pull out the shards of glass, “Did it just explode when you poured it in then?”. He was testing out a new formula but nothing that should have resulted in this type of a reaction. He’d need to look into this in more detail.
But he didn’t want any help?
“ Yes. I did everything as you told me. “, Sehun confirmed, eyes looking down at the wound. Honestly, he wasn’t aware, how much damage something like this could do. What in the savior’s name, was in there this time?! If someone would have drunk this elixir…
Until now, he had more stared down at the blood. The shock too huge, mixed with too much confusion and questions in his head. Was it perhaps him after all, who did something wrong? No, how much damage could one do, just by pouring in something into a bottle?
Then again, how could something even happen?
“ Anyway, so you can’t blame me this time. “, the blonde hummed a tad too joyful. Trying to jgnore the pain in his hand.

He tilted his head a little as he continued to watch her. Something wasn’t quite adding up. “Erm - are you sure? You don’t look as though you’re all too rested at all”, he motioned for her to sit down on the bed as he watched over her rather carefully. It wasn’t against the norm for people to come in here and complain about lack of sleep. It was an issue he’d been attempting to try and solve with the new batches of the elixir but it seemed as though it was difficult to erase completely. “When is the last time you ate?”, he asked in a somewhat throwaway manner, turning towards his computer and pulling up Miho’s records. It was difficult to get people here to be honest with how they were feeling and all that did was add to his workload. Why couldn’t they trust that he was there to help them? It was difficult to keep everyone alive when they all walked around looking like zombies.
“And when was the last time that you have slept decently?”

One who knows nothing can understand nothing(medic-kyran)
Kingdom Hearts Part 1 - @medic-kyran
“ In other words. You think I’m dumb. “, at least this was, how the young man understood those words. Which were… honestly rather complicated. If one knew nothing, it didn’t mean they wouldn’t understand anything.
They just could understand it in another way then… or see it with other eyes. “ Or did you mean something else? “

"Leave me alone!"
“You make it sound as if you have a choice”. He sighed slightly. It wasn’t in him to hurt woman or children if it could be avoided but he would do if required. “Like the Savior said, you’re here as bait. All you have to do is keep your little brat quiet before I make him quiet - got it?” @beautifullyxxunstable

“Yes. You need to rest or you may risk actually needing to go to a hospital”, he sighed and gently pushed her back onto the bed, pulling the blankets back around her form before pulling off his gloves and tossing them away into the trash as he watched over her. He wasn’t going to ask too many questions about how she had managed to get injured in such a way. He was used to dealing with people who got themselves into shaddy situations, ended up hurt and couldn’t go to a hospital for various reasons. As long as the girl was able to pay him then he didn’t care too much about where she was from. He leaned back against the wall, taking out a cig and beginning to smoke as he gazed down at his watch, frowning for a slight moment, “The painkillers will kick in soon and once they do you’ll feel rather dizzy so please do not attempt to move around, alright?”

He gave the girl a soft smile, walking more by her side at the moment. Was she this naive? Hadn’t the other members of RFA told her to be careful by now? He’d known where the apartment was but didn’t wish to be close to where security cameras were likely to pick up what was happening - which was the reason as to why he’d been following her the last few days to learn her routine, though had only allowed himself to be noticed now. “Depends. I was wondering if I could learn the name of such a pretty woman. I’ve seen you around this area a few times but never quite had the courage to come up and say hi before now...”
