- Jeongnyeon and Juran stage will never happen.

- Jeongnyeon still thinks Juran left her for a man and probably thinks all of those letters and words of confession are platonic and bs.

- Juran left her dreams and her soulmate to take care of a grown ass man.

- Maeran Theatre Group didn’t last forever and went separate ways eventually.

I just realized how much of a hypocrite Okgyeong was when she said to Jeongnyeon “I like you better when you’re doing gukgeuk”. Now she left everything for the film industry! THEY CAN’T SHOW BUTCH LESBOS ON SOKOR TV IN 2024, WHAT MORE IN THE 50s?! Insane.

I know it would take years before South Korea makes a GL, but I see Jeongnyeon:The Star is Born as a start. It takes guts just to adapt a sapphic webtoon but it happened. Gayness might just be implied in the drama but I believe it’s a great beginning of the birth of GL in Kdramas since it always has a great rating.

Also, I love the fact that Thai GLs comes out every month, but nothing really beats Kdrama’s production, story telling, cinematography and acting, so I really hope I’d get to see a legitimate mainstream GL Kdrama in this lifetime.
