for the anon asking about permissions, here's a good checklist to make sure you have everything accounted for:

any in-site filters (suggestive, eyestrain, nudity, etc): yes/no for each thing

gore: yes/no/candy gore only/etc

genderbends: yes/no

drawing with other characters: yes/no

ship art: yes/no/only with certain characters

color palettes/palette swaps: yes/no

extreme style changes/abstract: yes/no

tobacco/alcohol/drug use: yes/no for each thing

physical art/crafts: yes/no/only if you're able to mail it etc

drawing in other outfits: yes/no

any other personal preferences. do you like religious themes? do you hate the color yellow? do you think character x should never be drawn sitting down? make your global permissions a generalized list for all your characters, and utilize individual character permissions for exceptions to the rule!

its also best to arrange global permissions in a DO/DON'T format, or with the traffic light system, but also perfectly fine to list them like above with yes and no answers for each thing.

For just some straight up "drawing from reference tips" draw it upside down so whatever you think it should look like doesn't fuck with how it actually looks like. Block the silhouette out first, going from the big medium small is always a good idea. Negative spaces are your friend.

And for the actual smaller bigger shit if you're doing digital just copy and paste the head and body as a reference, move those bitches into place, make it taller or short depending on character heigh and bigger or smaller depending on how close or far away the character is.

And if you're going traditional, respect, I rarely work in trad, but I'd just grab some scrap paper, get two pieces to cut to our first characters head and body size and do the same stuff with it. Or you can use another way to measure stuff, whatever works for ya

Can anyone give tips to a younger artist? I’m trying to get better at drawing and I’m trying to get better at two characters interacting/on the same page together. The problem I’m having is either the head or the body is bigger or smaller than the other. Any tips?
