It's literally not banning all trans athletes just because, it's making bans legal as long as they make the "just because"="fairness in competition" and anti trans bigots have already been using this taking point against trans athletes. It's not that they can manipulate it, they absolutely will manipulate it this way because they've already been doing that, and they will be able to continue doing so because of Biden.

I have started to see a growing proliferation of posts suggesting that there is no difference between the republican and democratic parties–the exact same kind of posts I saw an awful lot of before the last major election here. So this would mean that schools are absolutely allowed to ban trans students from participating in sports as long as they make up a reason for doing so.

It prohibits blanket bans, but blatantly allows specific bans as long as the schools make up some vague, bullshit excuse about "fairness in competition."

The only thing it does is make it so they would have to give a reason, not a DAMN GOOD reason, but literally just a reason to ban trans athletes.

“The proposed rule … recognizes that in some instances, particularly in competitive high school and college athletic environments, some schools may adopt policies that limit transgender students’ participation,” the Education Department said in a fact sheet."

All bigots would have to do is just say that having teams athletes participate is not fair for a reason, and it would totally be legal and it's because of Biden they they will be able to do that.

Joe Biden literally just made it so schools can legally discriminate against trans athletes. He's not at all trying to prevent Nazism, he's only ever going to end up compromising with it.

Voting and direct action are not necessarily in contradiction, but electoralism and direct action are.

What I mean by that is that if you see your project as getting your people into the government and then having that government successfully enact your agenda, this is going to be something that is threatened by strikes and protests and rabble-rousing.

And when you find yourself admonishing your comrades not to criticize, not to make trouble because it’s just playing into the opposition party’s hands or the foreign enemy’s hands, this is what the anti-electoralists were trying to warn you would happen.

When you’re the German Social Democrats and you got yourselves elected as the biggest party in the parliament of the German Empire, and Archduke Ferdinand is assassinated and Russia is making noise about going to war with German ally Austria, you might find that you start to put Germany’s interests above Social Democracy’s interests.

So go ahead and vote in cases where you think it’ll help something or prevent something bad from happening. But don’t get caught up in trying to make sure a particular politician or party is successful.
