âI like Louie. I wouldnât suggest it if I didnât,â Lindsay assured  Danny. âI want our son to be named after your brother.â She  knew he wanted it, his mother wanted it, and the name Louie  was a nice name. Lindsay pressed a kiss on Dannyâs cheek  before she rested her head against his shoulder. âWeâre  having a boy..â She still couldnât believe it.Â
Danny laughed  at that.  Of course  his mother  wouldnât stop talking about Louie. It didnât escape him that she was hoping theyâd use  his brotherâs name  for  their second child. âYeah, yeah, it means a lot to me. But  only if you like the name.  We donât  have  to  use  my brotherâs  name  if  you donât  like it.â

âJo? Our Jo? I never realised.. Of course Iâll  help you but you must know that I wonât sugar  coat what might happen.â
âWell her name is Jo. Yes Jo Danville she is amazing I swear it was love from first glance. I just donât want to mess this up Linds sheâs not just any nurse after all.â

Lindsay honestly didnât feel like arguing with a paramedic while having a crime scene to process. But since they had no witnesses on the shooting yet, the guy that got away might be their best shot to finding the killer. She decided to leave the matter of his rookie, it wasnât something she was able to comment on anyway. âThen we go that way,â Lindsay said before starting to walk in the direction he had given her. She wouldnât have much time to spend looking for this witness, theyâd have to hurry up and other wise, sheâd have to ask the paramedic to go and see a sketch artist.
âNo, thatâs a completely different thing entirely. He just needed to watch the guy.â Toby took a deep breath to calm himself. This whole situation wasnât her fault. But she really wasnât helping his mood by doubting him earlier. âSorry. Yeah. Sure.â He grabbed his radio and ordered the rookie to stay with the rig and not go anywhere until he returned before following the CSI. âHeâs heading that way the last time I saw him.â He pointed at a direction.

Lindsay listened to Joâs explanation, finally she was  getting to understand what was going on between the  two of them. It made absolute sense for Jo not wanting  to talk to Mac about that.Â
âItâs okay, Iâll tell him. Will you be all right? If you need anyone  to talk to about whatâs going on, you can always come to me,  you know that right? We can go out and have some dinner or  you could come over to my place for dinner.â
âOh no, I just donât want to bother him.â Jo was trying to play it cool, but one look at Lindsayâs face said that lie sounded even more fake than it felt.
âI justâŚhe and I had aâŚdisagreement a little while ago, and he made it very clear we donât have the sort of relationship where we share things about our personal life. Whatâs going on with me todayâŚit has to do with my sister, and much as I love him, I donât think I can take any kicking while Iâm down.â

âIâll triple check everything that comes back from the scene.  Dr Hawkes and Detective Messer are still processing the  scene at this moment, I just came back with the fingerprints  right away,â Lindsay explained. There must be at least  something besides the manâs fingerprints that he left at the  scene, even if he was as smart as the consultant told her. âBut you have no idea what he might be up to next? Iâm just  trying assure that I understand you correctly in order to know  what to focus on. At this point everything can be suspicious  and if youâd have the slightest clue itâd be helpful.â
âNo,  I donât know  where  his hangouts  are.  Iâm  not  sure any  of  us  knows.  Heâs  not  your  usual  criminal.  When I said,  heâs smart,  I  mean  heâs smart.  He  has  high  IQ.â One  that  gave  him  a headache  when Toby  tried to read him. âYeah.  Now that he got what he wanted,  weâre kinda hoping  he left  something  behind  that  would  tell us  if he has any other business to deal with here in New York. That would give us a chance to catch up to him.â

//im sorry for the angst but im gonna be mean // Lucy has died
".....has died." finish it in my ask.
Lindsay gasped quietly when the doctor had come to tell them her little girl hadnât made it. It shouldâve been her that had gotten hit by that cart in the chaos but instead, it had hit Lucy. The poor little girl hadnât had the strength to fight the severe head injury and recover. Lindsay hadnât left her side as the girl had slipped into a coma and she hadnât stopped pacing ever since they had taken her into surgery.Â
She felt as though her heart was ripped out of her chest. She wanted to scream and hit the surgeon for not saving her little girl, the light in the dark world Lindsay worked and lived in. Before she was able to lunge at the surgeon, Dannyâs arms were wrapped around her and the tears started falling. And Lindsay cried her eyes out and she screamed but nothing would change. Her beautiful 8 year old daughter was gone and nothing could change that, as much as Lindsay wanted.Â
Her knees were weak and her body trembled as Danny led her to the room their daughter had been in so shortly before. There she grabbed her daughterâs favourite stuffed animal and continued to cry while hugging it tightly until there were no more tears left and she was exhausted and numb.

âI wasnât going to say anything. You gotta start trusting your rookie  at some point, now you know he wasnât ready. If the guy really  wanted to say something about the shooting, he wouldnât have run,â  Lindsay commented, the last thing she needed was the paramedic  blaming himself for losing the guy. He had been a patient and even  those are still free to leave whenever they want, they can refuse to  be helped. âWeâll find the guy.â She started walking through the crowd,  expecting the paramedic to follow her and tell her when he spotted  the guy.Â
âYeah, yeah. Heâs wearing a long jacket, black hair, about my height, about 140lbs, and would most likely still unsteady on his feet. I donât know if heâs injured or not.â Toby rubbed his face with one of his hand, seriously frustrated and annoyed at the situation. âYeah, heâs a rookie. And before you say anything, I was only gone for less than a minute, to grab the kit from the ambulance. He just had to watch the guy for 30 seconds. Unbelievable.â

âIâm working on a case, three dead bodies in the last 24 hours and theyâre connected but we have no evidence on the killer, nothing. This person told me Iâd get answers here, told me to come alone.â The last sentence was mumbled, she felt ridiculous to have come by herself without any back up. If it hadnât been for Deeks being here, she wouldâve been dead. âIt didnât say anything about you.â She was right on his heels, never more than one step behind him as she followed him to his car. She had to get out of there but she was putting both of them at risk.Â
âWhat did it say?â If it was something including him then his cover was blown. And it was a matter of time before he got a bullet to the cranium. For the moment heâd assume he wasnât blown. âIâll get them later. Right now they donât have you which is a good thing.â He would be tasked with getting rid of the evidence. But right now she was the priority. He led her through a small hallway outside to the car LAPD had given him.

So in honor of me getting into film school (wooooot!) and almost reaching my first major milestone on this blog, I wanted to do a brief little mini follow forever/bias list thing.
Thank you so much to everyone who RPs with me over here! When I first created Jo, I was really worried that no one would RP with her. Iâm so grateful to have found a wonderful and supportive little group of people. I love you all. Keep on keeping on!

Lindsay took a deep breath before she opened the door of the  apartment. âNYPD, show us your hands!â She had no idea  whether or not the perp was at his apartment so sheâd brought  uniforms with her and they quickly cleared the apartment,  suspect nowhere to be found, but his computers were. She put  her gun back in her holster before she turned to Raven. âUse  your magic,â she grinned, as she took the kit one of the uniforms  handed her. The entire apartment needed to be processed.Â

âNo you didnât have to! The fire department was  right behind you! They wouldâve found her! You  didnât have to go in yourself!â
âI have to go in Lindsay what if she is alive?! I canât just wait here and do nothing! I will be fine I promise.â

âIâm sorry, I shouldnât have asked.. I shouldnât  have continued about your past.â
Lindsay apologised. His voice gave away that it was not a topic he wanted to talk about, she knew how he talked and she knew that his voice was too controlled compared to when they were having a casual conversation. She didnât want to push him any more than she already did.Â
âYou know, I think I know a good store for fluffy toys.â
âIf Iâm too tired to drive home. The kids wonât get any toys so anything will do. Though I think theyâll love some fluffy toys.â
His voice was controlled. Lindsey was toeing the line of his past. And while he spoke a lot there wasnât much he gave away. He grinned at her despite the slight feeling of anxiety over his past being revealed to her.

Lindsay chuckled when he hugged her. âSo whoâs the  lucky lady you are getting yourself in all this trouble for?  Is there anyone in particular? I suppose so, since you  never needed help getting the numbers of those nurses.âÂ
âI Donât care if you think its ridiculous because your in. You wonât regret this Linds I promise you!â Don said as he hugged her tightly.

Lindsay had just placed her kit on the floor when she heard a  voice behind her. Her hands slowly moved up as she turned  around. âThis must be a terrible misunderstanding. Iâm Lindsay  Messer, Iâm with the DC Crime Lab,â Lindsay started after she  quickly studied the woman. Sheâd been told someone would be  waiting for her, this she hadnât expected. She remembered the  womanâs face from the files sheâd been given. âYouâre special  agent David, am I correct? Iâm going to reach for my badge now.â  Her right hand slowly lowered to move her jacket and cardigan,  showing the badge attached to the waist of her pants.
@mcntana liked this for a starter
Out of pure instinct the woman drew her field weapon pointing it at the unknown stranger. She tended to shoot now and ask questions later, but she had learned better. That tended to get her into trouble..Â

âKilled his daughter? No wonder Elphrenson came after  him,â Lindsay commented. She was almost positive itâd  take a lot from her not to do the same. âIs there anything  else you can tell me about this guy? What his usual  hangouts were? Maybe we can find him at a similar one.  Although, Iâm afraid youâll probably have to tell it twice. I  most likely wonât be the one helping you guys chase after  him. This is the first time he turned to murder right?â
âThis  guy  is  a special  circumstances  for  Elphrenson. Harrow  killed  his daughter.â  Toby told her.  He moved back a step and put his hands inside his jacket pockets at  her question.  âYour boss probably  has the file.  My partner went to talk to him. They wonât let me carry the file. Technically, Iâm not a cop.â

âGood. Daddy would talk to Mac to offer you a job only  if you wanted to, honey. Itâd be your choice. Youâre  already our little princess, sweetheart,â Lindsay led  Lucy towards the ice cream shop. âI thought you just  said you wanted to be a vet?â
âIâm sorry I used a bad word mommy I wonât again. Letâs focus on the ice cream! Well daddy seemed serious⌠I told him no. So I can even be a princess?â Lucy asked as the pair headed out of the school building.
