Matsuyama Mikoshi Festival to celebrate the harvesting of rice and other crops. In Matsuyama it’s unique because men ride on top and they taunt other neighborhood groups to fight and smash into each other’s Mikoshi (portable shrines). At Dogo Park the adults challenge the kids to a duel. Rei got in the mix.

Rei posing with her certificate for getting a perfect 100% score on her Level 1 Kanji Test. Kanji is the most difficult style of writing in Japanese using Chinese characters (there are 4,000 used in Japan). We’re very proud of her hard work. She earned a new toy.
