I don’t believe I’ve ever seen Bridget Jones…but I do know the actress you’re speaking of. Perhaps I’ll have to check it out. Can you tell me a bit about it?
Umm, tell you something about Bridget Jones? I wouldn’t even know how to do that. She’s hilarious. The movies are based on books, don’t ever read them in public unless you’re okay with people looking at you cause you’re giggling or laughing your head off. the benefits of the movies are that you get eye candy in the form of one Hugh Grant and Colin Firth.

Wow, you’re ahead of the game, getting those boxing day deals for next Christmas. Also you’re ready for any birthday or anniversary! I’ll have to try the same thing next year. I mean hopefully, I’m working on it but we’ll see I guess. If not I’ll be on your doorstep on the 23rd in full panic. That or gift cards all the way.
Ha, yeah, I guess you’re right about that. Birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, you name it and I’ll probably have something for it. Hey, you can never go wrong with a gift card. There are plenty of people who prefer them over presents.

SUE: Well thank ya darling 💁♀️I will literally pray that you don’t lose that fabulous hair of yours.
SUE: YAY 🥳 That’s awesome hun! We should do something to celebrate. Yeah it is! I’m excited, I found some cool stuff for this year.
SUE: You’re welcome to come if you’d like.
BEN: Thank you for that, let us pray it works!
BEN: Wanna go get a drink?
BEN: Cool! I found a few toys I hope the kids like. So I already planned on going there to drop those off and taking Fred with me so you'll see me there for sure. Might have a bit of an ulterior motive; they're also selling their 2020 calendar. So you know...got to have a copy of that. Hey, don't give me that look. The money is going to a good cause.😇

Where does the time go? One moment I’m thinking ‘no worries, plenty of time’ now it seems like Christmas is already here and I’m running out of time to do my shopping. At least I didn’t wait until the very last moment. How has your gift getting gone? Please don’t tell me I’m alone in this.
Dude, you’re on your own in this. I’m one of those people that starts shopping for next Christmas the day after Christmas. Well not really but close to it. All year round, if I see something that I think someone will like I buy it and save it for Christmas. Are you going to get it all done before you totally ran out of time?

Matt: Why would they miss out on making something that cool happen?? I mean, that's the real kind of shit I want to see in a movie and not just somebody putting on a costume. Which we got with Mystery Men but that's not exactly a kid's film.
Matt: Then all my focus goes on that and I don't worry about the clock. We do get relieved to rest because when you've been going hard at something for awhile you start fucking up due to fatigue. So yup! Crews come in.
Matt: Fuck. Sorry I didn't get back to this until now. You ever have one of those weeks where you have a million things to do but not enough time? Holidays do that. We can meet up tomorrow for lunch if you're still down?
Ben: Beats me. I think the original comics were deemed too scary for the audience they wanted to reach with the movie?? I love that you mention that movie, not many people do.
Ben: I bet you're completely drained by the end of a day where you had a massive fire or even a few small ones.
Ben: Yeah, been having one of those myself, end of the semester is always all work and no play. So I get it. I'm still down.

SUE: Not grey hun, I'm sure we'll be silver foxes...or you will be and I'll be that cotton candy hair granny. And NO NOT YOUR HAIR.
SUE: Classes mostly, shopping and such. Also volunteering at the Toys for Tots drive as well. What about you?
BEN: Cotton candy hair... hmmm, you'd totally pull off that look then. Yeah, keep those fingers crossed that I get to keep my hair, I love my hair, so don't wanna lose it.
BEN: I'm done with finals! Only one paper left to finish but I've got some time left for that. Oh, is that at the fire station? Matt mentioned something about that, I think.

SUE: Right back at ya! And oh my gosh so did I, that was even more fun than I thought it'd be.
SUE: Hun of COURSE I AM. An annual tradition to be sure, I'm so down for us being in our 70's and doing it still ;)
BEN: Oh you're on! We'll be doing this till we're grey and old. And in my case probably bald too 🤣
BEN: What are you up to this week?

Uhm. I like….Harry Potter, Star Wars (only the original three), Back to the Future, Beetlejuice, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ghostbusters, You’ve Got Mail….
All movies that be on my list of movies to watch. Have you seen the last two Star Wars movies? They’re okay. Next week the last of this trilogy is coming out. Anyway, back to a few recommendations, umm, Sleepless in Seatle. Good Will Hunting, the Princess Diaries movies, the Breakfast Club, well almost anything from John Hughes really. That should keep you busy for a while.

Matt: I remember him now!! The recycling guy. haha
Matt: Not as often as I used to when I was starting out. I'd do these 24hour shift. Only worked 3 days towards the end but fuck, they took it out of me.
Matt: Awesome! I look forward to it. You should bring Fred over, the guys will love him!
Ben: Fredzilla in the comics can turn into a real dragon, Disney really Disney-ed him up for the movie.
Ben: 24 hours? And what if you had a big fire that took hours and hours to get under control? You were working round the clock or were there crews that would come in so you could get a bit of a break?
Ben: I'll bring him along. He'll love them right back.
Ben: Do you already have plans for tomorrow? Say lunchtime?

SUE: Well of course, with my height I'll look even more like an elf XD
SUE: Ben, I haven't been this excited to see Santa in a long time...heck it's been a long time since I've seen Santa.
SUE: But of course I should've known that of all the people who could get me to dress up as an elf and meet him...it'd be you.
[today]
BEN: You looked hella cute in your costume. And I had so much fun.
BEN: We are so going to do that again next year!!! I say we make it an annual thing. You in?

Matt: I saw that movie but I can’t for the life of me remember who Fred is. And I don’t want to cheat and Google it.
Matt: I work Mon, Wed - Fri. It feels like a 2nd home since we do have beds and a kitchen, plus a common room with a TV and a pool table. When we’re not on a call there’s thins to keep us busy like chores, trainings, assignments, etc,
Matt: Next weekend we’re selling our 2020 calendars and having a bake sale. People are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy and we’re giving it all to the children’s hospital
Ben: Fred's the skater dude with the rich parents. Does that ring a bell?
Ben: That sounds like a pretty good schedule to have. Do you sometimes have shifts that you actually sleep there?
Ben: Oh, thanks for reminding me about that calendar, almost forgot that you guys sell them. I'll be sure to drop by and buy one of them as well as donate a toy or two.

I like Hugh Grant! He was good in music and lyrics. Not as well versed with Colin Firth. I guess I’ll have to check it out.
The intro to that movie is so funny. If you do check it out let me know what you think.

Matt: hahaha wow. It wasn't even something I thought about with the yellow. How did you come up with that name?
Matt: I work 6a-6p but I usually hang out with the guys at the bar or a few friends. Do some charity stuff, too. Especially around this time of year.
Ben: He's named after Fred from Big Hero 6, who's also blonde btw.
Ben: That's a long shift. You do that every single day? What kind of charity stuff you got coming up?

SUE: Yeah I know what you mean. Sometimes you can't fit all you need to into a movie, plus they can develop characters even more in shows than they necessarily can in the length of a film.
SUE: Tomorrow then! EARS AND ALL.
SUE: Now I can say I will literally be there with bells on XD
BEN: Exactly!
BEN: I'll come and pick you up. Watch people stopping us for selfies all the way there cause they think we work for Santa. Gonna be fun.
