I like this girl a lot but we go through really good patches and then she will get distant and say she needs space but I just don't get why. :(

Well, she may have some mental health issues or personal obstacles she needs to overcome. Try to help her. But also, understand that everything occurs in cycles. You’ll be closer some times and more distant others
