I will forever love how Bojack Horseman handles Beatrice Horseman and her role as a mother.

Even though we are given an explanation on how she came to be the horrible person she is, we never get one of those “no matter how shitty your family is, you still gotta love them” lessons, LIKE N O. She was a piece of shit to BoJack all his life and she got what she deserved

(There’s a little bit of compassion sprinkled in, but it’s minimal)

Let's focus on Beatrice

Oh my god, i can’t believe i really have to say it, but i wil. Why is everyone just fucking talking about todd being asexual?! In this season, telling you Beatrice’s story they just depicted pretty accuretly how was to grow in a perior of history where women really didn’t matter. Emotionally they didn’t exist, they were just not being taken seriously. They were treated like furniture, workers, and people to just trade for better bussines possibilities. This show is so fucking cold treating that topic, and it’s PERFECT. Because that how women were treated in those years. The best thing is that the writers showed you what happens to a mother and a daughter mind living and growing up in those years. It was a mounstruosity. And i seriously think we have to recognize the excelsious job the writers did depicting this years. The only way of not repeating our mistakes, is never forgeting about them. And this, was just inhuman, and horrifyng. So PLEASE, stop just talking about todd. (I love him too). But the aknowldge about this mounstrositty is a big deal.
