I'm fascinated by the sentiment that Arcane only became a centrist show in its second season and think it might be the clearest example yet that fandom will decide whether a show has good politics or not based on popularity.
Like have an honest look at Season 1. The show's main "revolutionary" force is Silco, who is shown to have made Zaun significantly worse for the average person compared to the more "moderate" Vander. Not to mention that his character arc is about coming to understand why Vander choose his daughters over the revolution and realizing that when forced, he would make the same decision.
The show's politics were always liberal "violence is bad, love is the answer" type stuff. The show's politics didn't change, chunks of the fandom just became more aware of the show's politics because they didn't like Season 2 as much and treated it with a closer critical eye.

I've played far too much Genshin Impact to pretend I'm above it or anything like that, but nevertheless sometimes one simply has to imagine how good it would be to live in the timeline where Raiden Ei and Yae Miko were characters from a 200+ chapter slowburn BaiHe or yuri manga instead of a gacha game...
