To make the unit more durable aluminum will be used as the material for the main structure of the unit. The sleekness of the aluminum will represent the see-throughness of the water bottles also.
Glass is just as see through as water. Since this unit is designed inspired by water bottles the transparency of the water needs to be demonstrated in the unit And to do this so, what is a better material than glass? However, since this unit will be used in busy placed it’s better to avoid any risks of the glass breaking, therefore, fiberglass is used to replace the glass. Fiberglass is a durable and light material which can be used as clear or stained.

Here is the link to the video I have made explaining my design. This was a very new task (screen recording) for me to do. After searching for a while I found a program called tiny take to record my windows screen. This program was very easy to use and had everything I needed to make this video.
Hope I have done a fairly good job for the first time and you enjoy the video.

It’s the main job of the logo to be able to communicate with the audience of the product. A logo must be eye-catching and relevant to the product, it should also have some characteristics so it stays in people’s mind and gets recognized all over the world. Take Coca-Cola for instance, A simple logo on a simple background with its own font graphics has become familiar in all over the world.it has become the most known logo in the world and it is almost unbelievable to think of someone who cannot recognize the Christmasy but all year around logo of CocaCola.
Based on the identity of my design I have here attempted to create a sit+ store logo. I have taken into consideration both the function of my design which is it being used in busy places such as airports and the ‘+’ sign in the brand’s name. Starting with a directed plus sign as a background and then writing the sit and store sign over it led me to think about creating the identity of the logo using the starting letter of each word. The two ‘S’ overlaps each other in a way that they create the ‘+’ shape within them. I have also created a Slogan for the design so the logo can become a bit more communicative.

Design development is the most exciting part of a design. You get to decide the measurements, the materials and the final look of your design. As an interior architecture and design student, I could never wait to get to this stage in my work. This time though, everything was different, I got to use different functions in software which I have known before. All these functions were so new to me and enabled me to further my knowledge. I found creating GIF s with Photoshop the most amazing and mesmerizing one, this might be silly to say as I am sure there are so many people out there that see this as a very basic thing to do with Photoshop, but to me it was amazing. A new way to better communicate my design idea. I decisively cannot wait to use my knowledge to create some more GIF work.
To keep it short I better start giving you some explanations on my design. I have taken my inspiration from the water bottles that you see everywhere every day. You see them in supermarkets, in drugstores, airports, and all sorts of stations around the world. They have become one of the most basic stuff we use and don’t even notice. You can even see them in trash cans, and this is where I really got my inspiration from. Before binning water bottles, most people compress them into a smaller size for it to fit in the trash. This compression creates some uneven lines and shapes on the bottle. My design is a cylinder with many concavities around the shape. These spaces create seating, storage, and shelves as well as a fold in table.
Water bottles are transparent and shiny, right? To achieve this look I decided to combine the use of glass and aluminum together. Glass is transparent just like water and aluminum are shiny and reflects light like a shiny water bottle.
This unit is a perfect unit to be used in a small house with not enough space for storage/ shelves/ and s reading area.
It can also be used in student dorms.
The most exciting use to get out of this unit is in airports and stations. Just imagine, you are tired from your flight and have just landed in an airport to get your joining flight, you have stuff to do as well And you also have your luggage to carry around with you. Nightmare right? Then you see something across the airport a place to sit, a place to store and a place to put your laptop on to work and even a place to rest your feet on. You even are surrounded by shelves fool of books. What more could you want? I know what I would think at that moment. I would tell myself to run before anyone else takes my only hope and I would start running towards the unit, just like in movies(run forest run).
Now I hope you see the point of my design.
Enjoy the photos! Don’t forget the GIF and the animation I am so proud of them.
