He smiled back at her and nodded, his eyes still stung. "Oh you better not because like I said, I'll follow you anyway..."

She shakes her head. “You’re wrong. I am a terrible person and a worse sister. You don’t deserve me. I made a promise to you, a simple one at that, and I couldn’t keep it for my own selfish wants.”

"Forget promises, they can be broken, I don’t care. But, Blaze, you’re not selfish, that’s a fact. If you’re happy on what you’re doing then I’m happy too. I’m gonna miss you, but we’ll see each other anyway like you said…right?"

She squeezes her eyes shut. Don’t cry yet. Blaze moves closer to Max and wraps her arms around him. “Max… listen to me, alright?” She says with a calm and gentle voice. “The Amazons are twenty minutes away walking distance. I’ll train there part of the day on weekdays and I’ll train the rest of the day here. I’ll only be gone a few hours a day and I won’t be taken out for duty unless there is a huge war, not until I finish my training.” She says, rubbing his back soothingly.

"But…You’ll basically be away…" He said, taking a deep breath.

He couldn’t look Blaze in the eyes. Sure, he’ll see her hours and hours but still… All he could think of is that she’s going to be away.

Finally, he stood up and nodded. “Y-yeah! I’m so happy for you. You’ll be with the bad ass girls who kicks real butts…I hope you find good friends there to take care of you… I don’t want to stop you from that decision though, so…Um…I-I’ll…I’ll just go for now, and um…” He struggled to find his voice and swallow up a sob at the same time.

He started walking backwards, “I’ll… I’ll see you in the cabin…” He turned and ran towards cabin 11. He didnt want Blaze to see him crying and make more guilt weigh on her shoulders.

Max took a shaky breath, hugging her back.

After quite a while he managed to say, "No..." He pulled back, his lips trembling but he couldn't just stay silent. "Don't...Don't quit. Don't you even think about it. If you think that'll make me much much better, it doesn't. You'll only make me feel guilty, y-yeah.

And for the record, you're not an ignorant fool...you're my sister"
