“We always made a great duo, with Puck, we would be an unstoppable trio.” He chuckled slightly as he shook his head, suddenly thinking about one of his best friends who was out there somewhere. He entered the shop through the broken window and walked over to the chocolate filled baskets. “These looks normal right?” He said, examining the chocolate that was left behind by the store owners. “I’m always game for chocolates, these are great.” Matthew chuckled as he felt a cold chocolate piece up over his lips, tasting the sweetness of it. He licked it a little before taking it in his hands, chewing it off.

Elizabeth couldn’t help but smile over at Matthew, seeing him smile made her feel like this might be okay for now. Even if it wasn’t, it wasn’t that bad. Biting on her bottom lip, she was still pumped from being able to break the glass. It was like she was letting out all of her anger right then and she needed that. Watching him move the glass, she walked over to him and then gripped onto his arm, stepping inside. “We make a good team. I break things and you make them good for us to go inside.” She joked, smiling over at him before walking over to the chocolate pieces that they had wrapped in baskets and looked at her bag and then his. “Put these in your bag. Come over and get some. I know it’s not healthy but it’s better than nothing, right?” She asked, putting some in her bag before putting it back on and taking a bite. “This chocolate is heaven.” She admitted, laughing a little as she pressed the piece of chocolate up to his lips.

“Yeah, it’s Godiva alright.” Matthew chuckled slightly, listening to how excited Elizabeth was over the chocolate company. It made him happy to know that for once, all her worries was gone for a moment - at least, that’s what he like to think about. “Sure, go ahead I guess.” Matthew said, taking some steps back as he watched his little friend swing the bat towards the glass window, shattering it to bits and pieces before catching up as she jumped back from the sound. “That’s one way to do it.” Matthew said, amazed as he grabbed his shovel and started sanding the stray shards of glass from the side of the window to prevent it from cutting themselves. “There, I think we can go in now.” Matthew said.
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth couldn’t help the small smile that came to her face as she looked down at Matthew. He really was one of her best friends, next to Puck, she wouldn’t be anywhere without the two boys who were her biggest support. “Well, I won’t be a pain and I will say, you’re welcome.” Whenever he grabbed her hand, she tightened her grip before watching him stand up and then she let him grab his things. Laughing a little at his snickers bar between his teeth, she leaned her head to the side, just taking in a moment to feel better about everything for even a slight second because she was with him. “It does. Not like a big strip mall or anything just one that has maybe fifteen stores. There is one that is a ways away but I don’t know how to get there.” Walking with him, she looked up whenever he said then name and she bounced a little on her feet. “Chocolate. Like. The best chocolate is Godiva. Can I break the window? I want to.” She was trying her best to make a little wiggle room of a bad situation so they didn’t have to be upset all the time, so trying to act like herself worked for her. Walking to the far window, making sure he was far enough away, she pulled her bat back before swinging it into the window causing it to break and her to jump back as she did it. “I did it.”

Matthew found himself smiling a little again when Elizabeth told him that he shouldn’t be thanking him as he didn’t see the creature creeping up behind him. “But still, if it wasn’t for you being there..I would be dead meat and for that, I sincerely thank you.” He insisted before looked up, taking Elizabeth’s hand and standing up on his feet as well and nodded. “Looks like a little mall.” Matthew said, grabbing his back pack and shovel once again, with his snickers bar in between his teeth before grabbing it again when he was done pulling the bag straps up his shoulders. Matthew followed by her side, taking note of the doors of the stores they were standing in front of. “I think we could.” Matthew nodded. “What store is this?” Matthew asked, taking a step back to see the store’s name. “Godiva?”
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth smiled a little up at him whenever he smiled at her, knowing that if they could just stick together that they would be okay and make it through this mess. Letting her eyes close, she took a moment to try and gather herself and her thoughts. She had to, she didn’t have another option. Wrapping her arms around her legs as she held her water bottle in hand, she rested her chin on her knees. Looking back up at him, she sighed and shook her head slowly. “You don’t have to thank me, you didn’t see that thing coming from behind you. It wasn’t any brave act from me, take my word.” Knowing that he was right, she found herself feeling more broken down than before but there wasn’t anything else she could do. She knew it wasn’t going to end, at this rate, she wasn’t sure when it would. Looking at her hands, she placed down her water before standing up and placing her hand out for him. “C’mon. Let’s start looking around a little. Trying to figure out what’s in this place. Bring your stuff.” Grabbing onto her bat, water and the oreos, she made her way to the doors of stores, checking in through the windows to see if anything was to be found. “What if we broke into these stores through the windows?”

Matthew felt his lips curling up into a little smile when he saw Elizabeth taking the bottled water and the packet of Oreos off his hands. It was all about survival now and Matthew knows it. Those things are real, even though it seemed like it was all from a movie, video game or a dream. Digging back into his backpack, he took out a snickers bar and opened the wrapper up, exposing the sweet chocolate inside. He took a small bite out of it before looking at Elizabeth, trying to relax just for her. After all, it works both ways. Matthew sucked his lips in a little when he heard Elizabeth thanking him for being here and wanting to go back home. “I should be the one thanking you Liz.” Matthew replied, softly. “I almost died back there..and I just want this to be over but it’s not going to be over.” Matthew sighed, chewing a little bit of his chocolate again before nodding his head slightly to Elizabeth’s suggestion on checking the mall out. “I think we should take a small tour around here..it looks like it had been close for a day.” He noted as he looked around him, all the stores were closed. “I say we grab some food supplies from the stores and such while we are at it.”
F2F - ELLY
Breathing heavily, Elizabeth tried her hardest to calm herself down. She wasn’t sure what to do anymore, she couldn’t go home because that just wasn’t an option anymore. Holding onto his arm, she finally let go whenever they looked around their surroundings, trying to figure out what was going on or if where they were was even safe anymore. Whenever he told her to not be scared, she let him take her hand and slowly sat down to let her head fall down onto his shoulder. Her eyes closed just for a moment before he offered her water and oreos and she smiled a little to herself. He was always one to have oreos on hand, something that just made him, him. Holding onto the water, she opened it and took a drink before opening the oreos to take a bite. For once in her life, she was so happy to be eating one. Breathing in, she finally let her wall down for just a second as she placed her baseball bat down to the ground and off her lap. “Thank you. For this and water and for being here. I just feel like this is so inane. Like there’s no right answer. I would love to just go back home, Matt. I would. Except we can’t,” she whispered, taking another bite. “So, do we check out this place before we stay? Do you think it’s gonna be safe here?”

Matthew didn’t catch what was going on, especially not what was behind him. Gripping the handle of his shovel tightly as he felt Elizabeth tugging him away, saving him in a nick of time as he finally turned his head to look what was actually behind him and it was indeed one of those things. Running with his best friend, they managed to reach a seemingly abandoned building before starting to breath a little quicker as he watched as she shut the door behind her. From that moment on, he started examining his surroundings. The lights were out but it was still visible to his eyes, everything was dead silent and only the sound of both of their breathing can be heard. “Yeah..this could work for now..” He muttered, slumping to the ground, shaking his head. “Don’t be..” Matthew mumbled when she told him that she was scared as he took her hand, motioning her to take a seat on the ground for the moment. Dropping the shovel next to him, he removed the straps of his bag and placed it on his lap before unzipping it quickly before putting his hand in and rummaging through the contents before pulling out a bottle of fresh mineral water and a packet of oreos. “Here, you need these.” He said, passing the items to her.
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth looked up at Matthew with wide eyes, trying to get her thoughts together. “Move!” was all she could manage to say as she tugged him over and away from the dead creature that was walking up behind him. Grabbing him, she ran under a different area, one that looked like a mall and she sighed, shutting the door after. “This good enough? I don’t see any dead things in here but this is insane. Matt, I’m scared.”

Matthew couldn’t believe what Elizabeth was actually saying to him, it just seemed unreal that this was all happening. These were all suppose to happen in video games, not reality. “I’m- I’m so sorry..” Was all Matthew to get out of his mouth at the news of Elizabeth’s parent’s fate. Matthew looked away slightly before tugging the strap of his bag filled with things needed for survival. “I say...we find a place to hide it out.” Matthew said.
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth let herself be embraced by him and she closed her eyes slowly, trying her hardest to calm herself down in the moment. “If you’re okay, then I’m okay,” she admitted softly as she held onto him. Whenever he pulled away, she looked up at him again, chewing on her bottom lip with a nod. “Yeah. They are..dead or whatever those things are now.” She hated admitting that, it killed her but she couldn’t do anything about it as she let out a soft sigh. “So, what do we do?”

Yeah.. Are you fine though bro? Who are you with? My phone is at 50% but I deleted all my other apps so it wouldn’t take out much space and possible battery life.
They’re spreadin’ faster than a cheerleader’s legs when they take a look at Puckzilla. Poppin’ out of nowhere, it’s crazy… Hey, no. That’s not gonna happen alright? They’re fine. They gotta be.

Matthew’s eyes widened a little when he heard that Elizabeth had bruises when she fell before, things like that really did slap him out of his delusion that this was just a dream where it wasn’t. “I’m fine..nothing happened to me.” He huffed slowly, embracing Elizabeth into a comforting hug again. He didn’t think much about it but he just wanted to let Elizabeth feel that she wasn’t alone anymore. Slowly pulling out of the embrace once again, he looked over towards the direction that she was pointing towards; it was a school. “Wait, you parents are in there?” Matthew muttered, shocked to say the least.
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth let out a soft laugh at his motion, unable to help it but she knew that it was an automatic reaction from him. Moving closer to him, she let herself feel safe there in that moment. In his arms, that was a good place to be because she knew he wouldn’t let anyone hurt her, no matter the case. Closing her eyes, she held onto him tightly and tried to calm herself down while her hands gripped onto his shirt tightly. “You have no idea how happy I am that you’re alive and safe,” she admitted before he pulled away and she backed up for him to look at her. “I’m okay. I am. I went out with Puck looking the other day and there was a bombing and I fell and got some bruises but I’m fine now. Are you okay? I don’t see anything wrong,” she went on, looking him over before she moved to hug her gentle giant best friend once more. “You’re okay. I didn’t think I was going to see you again, you don’t understand. I don’t even know where Puck is. I don’t know where Kitty is or anyone and my parents, they are, well,” she cut herself off, shaking her head as she took a step back and pointed over in the direction of where she had seen them last. “They are dead or those things. I was in the school and they came out of a room and I just shut the school doors. They’re in there.”

Matthew was really careful of his surroundings but it seemed that this street he was wandering upon was empty of both people and those sloppy beings that he was 100% sure wasn’t anything human. Taking a sharp turn, he felt his big heart skip a beat, doing a karate motion with his shovel quickly. He stared down on the little blonde girl in front of her, taking a second to actually realized who was that as she called out his name twice. “No..I don’t.” He said, responding to her comment. Matthew was shocked to say the least, he was almost certain that he wouldn’t be able find anyone, let alone one of his best friends from school. Wrapping his bigger arms around the girl, he hugged her tightly, keeping her close to him as possible. “Liz..oh god, I was so worried about you and everything..you’re not hurt as you?” He asked, mumbling as he pulled away from the embrace slowly as he examined at her from head to toe.
F2F - ELLY
Elizabeth ran her fingers through her hair, trying to see if she could spot anyone. Someone was better than nothing but whenever she turned the corner she ran smack into Matthew, making her let out a loud scream and hold her baseball bat up in the air as she backed up into the street. It took a minute for her to realize who he was as her heart pounded and she stared over at the boy who stood in front of her. “Matt? Matt?” She asked, knowing that she didn’t need to ask twice but her thoughts weren’t happening correctly before she walked closer to him, poking his shoulder. “You don’t look dead,” she commented, taking in a deep breath before wrapping her arms around him tightly. “You’re not. Oh my God, I’m so happy to see you.”

Walking through the streets wearily, Matthew placed his left hand into the pocket of his jeans and the other hand gripping the handle of the shovel tightly as he made his way by foot down a path which seemed quite strangely empty, nothing can be sure of what’s safe or not these days. His mind was definitely not thinking straight as it kept replaying the scene of his separation with Finn and his mom. It was horrible to say the least and he hoped that they would both be safe..somewhere.
F2F - OPEN FOR GROUP 1
Elizabeth had never been so nervous or scared in her life. She had managed to make herself into a mess as she stood staring at the elementary school, waiting to see some type of good answer but she was actually getting nowhere. Letting out a soft sigh, she ran her fingers through her blonde hair and turned around to walk away from the sight in front of her as she started to walk down the road. She wasn’t quite sure where she was headed but she was looking for three people. Her parents and her sister. That was all she could do while trying to keep herself safe. If she ran into other people on the way, well that would be okay with her, too. Just as long as they could manage to handle themselves, at least she wouldn’t be alone in this mess.
