My name is Matt Fortuna, and I am a freelance sports journalist. From 2011-16, I covered college football for ESPN.com, focusing primarily on Notre Dame and the ACC (with a little bit of Big Ten, MAC and college basketball work sprinkled in). Before that, I was an associate reporter for MLB.com, covering the Pirates and then the Yankees. And before that, I freelanced for a number of different outlets while writing and editing for The Daily Collegian, Penn State’s student newspaper.
