SELLING MY CLOTHES

The start of the pandemic afforded me the time to declutter my closet, and since production work was halted, I had to sell some of my clothes to earn a little. Instead of just taking photos of my clothes, I decided to do a mini photoshoot with my sister as she modelled my clothes. (very extra, I know HAHA)

This really was just for fun! And I did get to sell all of these clothes hehe

Coca-Cola Leaders' Summit

A Trainstation Philippines production. I worked as a Stage Assistant for this whole-day event. I assisted the participants during the day activities and did floor management for the award show part of the night.

FDCP Awards Night 2022 at the MET

I worked as a Production Assistant. We filmed some parts of a docu-series for FDCP's streaming platform earlier in the day, and I did floor management during the award show at night.

BOLA-BOLA directed by JP Habac

This production was under KreativDen Inc. and is for iWantTFC. It's now currently airing on the streaming service. I worked as a Technical Production Associate, coordinating with the technical departments (DOP, Camera Dept, tech crew, audio, editing), and handling other logistical concerns during pre-production. I was also the on-set production assistant during shoot.

This was one of the most enjoyable projects I've been a part of, while also being the most labor intensive. I even got to be an extra (as you can see with the photo of me in a waitress costume), quite a couple of times. But the people I worked with were incredible and I truly hope to work with them again soon.

TRASLACION 2021

I was very proud of this one as I feel that "docu-style" is my stronger suit than the usual way I had to edit for the stories I aired on OBP.

BASECOMMUNITY

When I was still a Mobile Journalist, I was assigned to do a news piece about the newly built (at that time) Basecommunity, the housing project for residents in Baseco, Manila who were displaced by a fire a year before. I had a very moving and surreal experience covering that story. There is a clear distinction between the new housing space and the rest of Baseco which surrounds it, but the people who live in these houses are very much the same.

This video isn't the news story I made to air on One Balita Pilipinas, but this is something I stitched together from b-rolls that I took and I tried to capture the feeling I had while I was there.

MOJO WORKS

From 2020 to 2021, I was a Mobile Journalist for One Balita Pilipinas, a news program that airs on One PH with Jay Taruc as anchor. As the job title suggests, all shot all my coverage from my mobile phone. I wrote, produced, presented, and edited about 4 news stories for the show every week.

These are some of the stories I made. Due to time pressure, most of my stories that aired were just decently edited, not as excellent as I wanted them to be. However, I'm posting here the news pieces that I was able to edit with more time and that I think are of higher quality, not just in terms of graphics, but also in flow of storytelling.

I produced probably around a hundred stories for One Balita Pilipinas, but these are the ones at the top of my mind. If you'd like to see more, do search "#MOJO Teresa Urmatam" on Youtube or Facebook to see more.

I was very grateful for my time at OBP. The experience definitely honed my storytelling skills and enlivened within me the social responsibility of seeking the truth (ALWAYS!). I also appreciated how my producers embraced my unique narration style, which, they have noted, elevated my stories above the rest.

Presenting GOLDEN CHILD

Another fan edit I made for KPOP group Golden Child. I made this for their 4th anniversary. The song is Fanfare, which is their own. I was inspired with the cinematic quality of the song. You can really sense a circus-y, old time-y movie feel to it. So I came up with the concept of black and white film that will suddenly turn multicoloured once the climax of the song hits. This has got to be my best fan edit yet. I am very proud of this one.

Donghyun's Greatest Hits Spotify Playlist

Was inspired to make this edit after Spotify added the video preview feature. I basically just erased the background and inserted the music videos behind the playbar. I really loved how this turned out.

Happy Donghyun Day!

A short edit I made for Golden Child's Donghyun on his birthday (2021) to the tune of Harry Style's Adore You (80's version!). This was inspired by one of my favorite edits by twt user @JOOPREMACY (https://twitter.com/JOOPREMACY/status/1310536876743254018?s=20) I actually asked permission from them to make this edit inspired by theirs and they gave their consent.

Physical Therapy Thesis Presentation

I got commissioned by a friend (a graduating Physical Therapy student at that time) to work on their thesis presentation titled “The Syllable Structure of 4yo Children in Metro Manila.” This was a very effects heavy presentation and I’m very proud of how it turned out.

So I used to work as a creatives assistant to this very small film production company called IGP Entertainment Inc. I edited this demo reel for IGP, ideally for film fest submissions or presentations.
