### **Danganronpa: World Destiny - A Fanfic**
#### **The Beginning**
Bryan Barson, a 14-year-old aspiring astronomer from Sacramento, California, dreams of attending the prestigious World Destiny School. After an impressive interview showcasing his knowledge and skills in astronomy and astrology, he receives an acceptance letter. Overjoyed, Bryan eagerly anticipates his first day.
However, on the morning he is to begin his new adventure, Bryan wakes up in an unfamiliar, opulent room with astronomy-themed décor. Confused, he explores and encounters Penny Delans, a 16-year-old pop star, who is equally disoriented. Together, they navigate the building and find themselves in a garden with 14 other kids, all similarly confused.
#### **The Announcement**
A stuffed bear, half white and half black, named Monokuma, appears and introduces himself. One of the kids recognizes Monokuma from the game "Danganronpa." Monokuma confirms that they are in a real-life version of the game, where the only way to escape is to kill one of the others. He introduces all the students:
1. Roberto Valens, 12, soccer player
2. Annie Kilan, 14, mixologist
3. Joan Diamond, 13, artist
4. Alice Teman, 15, veterinary student

6. Sonia Radolf, 14, professional hip-hop dancer
7. Denny Peterson, 14, programmer
8. Lorrie Savin, 13, photographer
9. Mathew Sanders, 15, movie director
10. Vinny Vanman, 13, show business and comedy

12. Natalie Simons, 12, hotel management
13. Teo Lemar, 12, mathematician
14. Penny Delans, 16, musician
15. Bryan Barson, 14, astronomer and astrologer
16. Andrea Milan, 12, actor
#### **Life in Captivity**
The students vow not to kill anyone. A week passes uneventfully, and they explore their surroundings, limited to the ground floor and one floor above where the rooms are. Bryan becomes friends with Penny, Roberto, and Alice. Penny is friendly but talks incessantly about her relationships. Roberto is a naïve but kind-hearted soccer player. Alice, though antisocial, opens up about gaming, demons, and animals.
Bryan’s leadership is challenged by Mathew, leading to an election that Mathew wins. Monokuma later shows disturbing messages from the students’ families, leading to Annie’s breakdown, which Mathew manages to calm.
Bryan finds a newspaper dated 2040, even though it is currently 2024. Monokuma mocks his confusion and disappears. Mathew organizes a party at the pool to lift spirits, but the next morning, Teo is found dead in the storage room, impaled with a metal skewer from the bar.
#### **The Investigation and First Trial**
Clues point to several suspects: Annie, David, Alice, and Denny. After thorough investigation, it’s revealed that Annie killed Teo, driven by the desperate need to ensure her family’s safety amid the chaos Monokuma displayed. Annie is executed, shaking the trust among the students.
#### **Isolation and New Discoveries**
Friendships crumble, and the group isolates themselves. The second floor is opened, containing a medical cabinet and a computer room. Alice becomes the nurse, leveraging her veterinary skills. Denny attempts to connect to the internet and finds a document about a movie called "World Destiny," eerily similar to their situation.
Mathew, now suspiciously under pressure, organizes a party, but Alice is found dead, tied with metal wires and hanging from the staircase. Clues initially point to David but ultimately reveal Denny’s guilt. His motive is tied to his desire to experience the new technologically advanced world.
#### **Unraveling the Mastermind**
The third floor opens, containing a spa, fitness center, and arts room. Joan is thrilled to use the arts room but is later found dead, along with Sonia, in a gruesome double murder. Clues lead the students to discover Vinny’s involvement, prompted by her desire to eliminate those she found unworthy.
Mathew is increasingly under suspicion. Bryan and Penny find a voice recorder revealing the director’s reluctance and hints about a war that devastated half the world’s population. The director’s final message implicates the mastermind as one of the students, suggesting that they are part of a twisted experiment.
#### **The Mastermind Revealed**
The fourth floor reveals a huge library, cinema, and laundry room. The students find a script for a movie similar to their situation, intensifying their search for the mastermind. Monokuma offers a hefty reward for another murder, testing their resolve. Tass is found dead, leading to a revelation that the ceiling collapse caused his fatal injuries. Roberto’s exploration uncovers secret passageways.
The fifth floor opens, housing a sewing room, larger kitchen, and gaming room. Bryan and Penny find a voice recorder, hinting at the mastermind’s plan and the global devastation. Mathew’s past, linked with a psychopath’s profile found by Lory, strengthens their suspicions. Natalia’s gruesome death solidifies the urgency to find the truth.
#### **The Final Confrontation**
Bryan and Penny decide to investigate quietly. They uncover more about the mastermind’s plans and the war’s aftermath. Monokuma gathers everyone for the final trial. Arguments and accusations fly, with each student scrutinized for involvement. The clues, the notes, and Mathew’s knowledge and skills ultimately point to him.
Mathew, cornered, confesses. He reveals that he was coerced into creating the game, inspired by Danganronpa, to save them from the radiation outside. Overcome with guilt, he presses the self-destruct button, urging the others to escape.
#### **Escape and New Beginnings**
Bryan, Penny, Lory, and Roberto run towards the exit as the building collapses around them. They barely escape the exploding structure, tumbling onto the grass outside. They look back at the ruins of their prison, breathing in the fresh air of freedom.
**Bryan:** "We did it. We’re free."
**Penny:** "But at what cost?"
**Roberto:** "We have to remember those we lost. They didn’t die in vain."
**Lory:** "We’ll make it through this. Together."
The outside world, scarred by war but showing signs of rebuilding, awaits them. They vow to use their experience to survive and rebuild, united by hope and determination. Their journey is just beginning, but they face the future together, ready to overcome any challenge.
