Old Town Sacramento was raised 15 feet above flood level. Ruins of the old city remain underneath the streets as tunnels leading nowhere, with hollow sidewalks, filled in entrances, trap doors, and rubble where storefronts and walkways used to be. Large wooden beams and soil brought in from surrounding areas helped to stabilize and build a foundation on top of the once-flooded city.

I, an arts & crafts student, just declared a second major in math, despite having spent much of my early life hating math. I got the reading comprehension and big vocab autism, not the math and science autism, and I’m not innately good at puzzles. All I have going for me is passion and stubbornness. This will be an interesting experiment in the merits of natural ability vs childlike fascination. Wish me luck, matherfuckers.❤️🦧

i think part of why i made this blog is so that i could get validation and encouragement for doing mathematics. but i don't get very much of it because people online are smarter than me, and i don't get much of that in real life either because we're all adults now. nobody has that amount of time to dedicate to me at my big age lol. i can't be asking if i'm allowed to be there or if i'm allowed to take up space; i am here now because i had the audacity to think i could enter academia, so i need to keep going with that.
