Alright! Heheh. [Putting his cleaned off tray with the rest of the trays, he quickly leads Ryouga out of the cafeteria and rushes off down the halls] It's over this way! [He skids to a stop in front of a door. The room looks dark inside. Ash slinks in and flips on the lights, signaling Ryouga to come in.] Well, whaddya think? Pretty big, right? Dia and I come here to practice for when next year's football tryouts come around.

Workout room? Really? [He finishes off his food, and stands up. He is quite interested. This might make him stronger!] Show me the way!

Well, you wanna be the strongest right? There's a great workout room and gymnasium where my buddy Dia and I always hang out, and I could show you where those are. There's also the way to the dorms, [muttering]and I guess the maid cafe [he raises his voice again] And yeah. It's a really big school. Even I still get lost sometimes! [He grins widely and lets out a small burp; his tray is almost factory clean.]

[Ryouga begins eating his food quickly.] Hm? Oh, I know my claffes, fo I wouldn’t worry about fhat. [He gets his food down and speaks normally.] Ah- Unless there are other places you’d wanna show me. [He grins.]

Yeah, that's the spirit! You'll be able to train with your dad and Arcades in no time with an attitude like that! [A big cheesy grin and thumbs up combo. He goes back to eating stuff again.] I came here because I wanted to be the best there was! I heard this place was super good, and I begged my mom to let me come here. 

So uh...do you know your way around here yet? I could give you a tour or something when you're done eating. [He shovels more food into his mouth, emphasizing the "you're" part.]

Arcades… He’s the strongest thing ever. He has unimaginable power. I want to train under him one day. I want to follow in my dad’s footsteps. See, a lot of years ago, my dad left to train with Arcades. I didn’t know where my dad went, so I confronted Arcades. He told me to come back when I was stronger, then he would take me to my dad and he and I would train together.

[He’s silent for a second as he sits down and pokes at his food.] Yeah, the test of intelligence. If I pass this, I’m worthy to confront Arcades. And hell yeah it ain’t hard for me! I can take on anything!!

Ar..kay dees? Who's that? Is there a reason you wanna train with him and your dad so much? [He lets that simmer for a second while he finds a nice good spot in the middle of the cafeteria for them to sit. He immediately begins shoveling food into his mouth.] So you haft' takth a teft uf intewigenf huh? [Swallow] Shouldn't be too hard for you, right?

I don’t mind sitting wherever you want to pick. Also, it’s not really about the gym programs, see, I’m here because I have to take a test on my strength of intelligence. There’s 3 tests in total, 2 of which I’ve already taken. If I pass this test, I can go train with my father and Arcades… [He doesn’t realize that he didn’t elaborate on who Arcades was.]

I sure did say that! And I mean it too! You're gonna be the strongest huh? I didn't know the gym programs here were so well known, too! [He has a chuckle to himself while he grabs a milk and waits for Ryouga to finish getting himself food] Yeah, it kind of helps when you love eating and have a roommie that likes food, too. [A big grin from ear to ear] So uh....Ree-yoh-ga...where d'you wanna sit?

[Ryouga blinked in surprise, and smiled!] Gee, you sure know your food! [He begins putting food on his plate, too.] Nice to meet you Ash! Did you say you were gonna be top student? My goal’s to be the strongest man in the world. It’s good to meet friendly people, here!

[Ash couldn't help but grin back, and the mention of food momentarily distracted him from the formal introductions] Oh! Uh, well, those are good...and these are okay, but you should get extra gravy with them and EUGH! That stuff's nasty it made a girl sick the other day stay away from it! And uh...oh that's the main course. And uh yeah, that's about it! I'm Ash Ketchum, and I'm gonna be a top student here! [He starts scooping mountains of food onto his tray]

[Ryouga barely felt Ash bump into him, but when he heard his cry, he looked down in surprise. As he saw the boy get back up and question him, he chuckled and gave a grin.] Yeah, I’m new here! Name’s Ryouga! Say, what’s good to eat, here? Do you know? [He looks back at the menu and ponders.]

[Of course, Ash is a dimwit, so he bumps right into Ryouga without looking where he's going] W-Waah! [He falls over onto his shota butt with a thud, and he gets uright back up, fists rarring, but then realizes he hasn't seen the person he'd just plowed into before] Huh? Hey, you! Are you new here? I've never seen you around here before.

[Ryouga walked into the cafeteria. Boy, he sure was hungry. He stood in line and looked through what they had on the menu.] Man… So many choices… I don’t know what to choose… [Ryouga stood there and wondered what to get, deep in thought, not noticing the boy coming up behind him, waiting.]

I finally got it repaired, so no need to worry about that little thing. I will never forget how we met. It was certainly an unique experience! Anyhoo, I saw this little jacket and thought of you! [A big silly grin goes across Ash's face. He chuckles a little and checks himself out in his new jacket. Stylish is hella right, babeh.] Yeah, this is great! Man I gotta thank Hika for these threads too! I bet she can't wait to see me wearing them, heheh! [He runs off towards the girls dorms yet again to show off his new clothes]

[After blinking for a second, he grins ultra wide and throws his new blue jacket on. Hell yes.] Aw, this is so cool!... [quickly, he looks around the packaging to see who he can thank for the new threads] I wonder how everyone knew my favorite color was blue?...

[Man do I even need to put this at the dorm step? No? good because hell man this is on your bed and it's wrapped up like your momma woulda done and if you pry that bitch open like a turkey you'll find some 'home'made cookies and a sweater that's as cobalt as that vest you used t' wear (I swear to god if you say it's purple ill punch you) and holy sweet cheeks it has cyan lightning bolts all over it. so much for christmas sweaters, huh?]

Woah...for me??! [Ash's inner kid takes over and he rips that shit open...WOW THAT SWEATER IS AWESOME!!! Ash loves the color blue. Fucking loves it. And to have a sweater with cool lightning bolts on it?? Perfcect!] Aw, nice!! Huh? [Upon closer inspection, he also sees the cookies. He plops one right in without hesitation.] ....MMmmm! Man thefe are goof! Likth de one my mohm us't make! [He moves the wrapping off his bed and throws his new sweater on. He can't wait to noogie and hug the fuck out of Dia for doing this for him!]

[You find a card under your dorm room's door. It's appears to be a lumpy Christmas card with "ASH" scribbled on the front of it. The card seems to be a Halloween-themed card with tombstones, but the inside it still says "Merry X-mas --Roxie" inside. You find the lumpiness is just some peppermints from the common room. At least she tried. Sort of.]

Huh? For me?... Hm... [He inspects the card, finding the halloween-theming a bit odd...until he sees who it's from. He's a little startled, but then smiles a little.] Heheh...I guess she has a holiday spirit after all. [Glad to know that even if Roxie has problems that she isn't a Grinch, he grabs the mints and heads into the dorm, placing the card somewhere safe.] Hm...I guess I should go thank her for the mints and stuff...[And so, he walks out the door into the other gender's dorms, knowing where Roxie would be by now after having barged in there once or twice...]

Oh wow. [He chuckles light heartedly at Dia's remarks toward Fantina] I'm sure she'll understand! I guess there's nothing wrong with saying you did it though either, if it's not that important. [Going back inside the building, Ash leads the way to the weight room] Watching TV after a good training session sounds great! If the weight room's open that is...[He turns the corner, peeking through the window in the door. The lights are off. He twists the knob to check for a lock. It's unlocked.] Alright, it's open! [He runs to the vending machine across the wall and buys a bottle of water for both of them before letting Dia in and turning on the lights.] Well, this is it, Dia! It's pretty great for a school weight room, huh? [He wanders over to the corner and sets his water bottle down and taking his wet shoes off.] Help yourself to the equipment! I'm just gonna be using the punching bags and free space over here.

[Once his expression lightened up again he felt more inclined to think of something to do. go figure] Yeah! Let’s see if it’s open first… if it’s open we can train a little and then spend the rest of the night watching TV~ [crossing his arms, he listened to Ash’s ending statement] P… Pearl and I were supposed to do a spooky skit but we ended up not having any openings for it… it sucked really… [he gulped and pulled on his collar] I could always say we did it at the dorm party or something I guess, because I don’t want to know how Fantina gets when we don’t do what she asks. [laughs awkwardly]

Yeah, I guess you could bring some for after we work out...but only AFTER, okay? [He's half guilt tripped by Dia's frowny face and half regretting saying no snacks period because he's kind of a glutton himself hello] Hm...but what could we do though....[Oops he kind of didn't have anything in mind either...] Uh...Maybe we could go to the weight training room now if it's not closed or something! Or...we could like catch some TV time or play a board game or something. It's up to you, really! [He grins and shrugs like he's got nothing, cuz he doesn't.] I wonder when Drama's gonna do something big...it's been kinda low key lately so I've been getting into all this other stuff.

[He’s been grinning as Ash talks, enjoying the peppiness and positivity of this conversation and all! He’s nodding away and keeping note of thing—Wait. wAIT WAIT. WAIT… No SNACKS? You can practically see Diamond’s face fall at the thought of not having food… and during hard work and training no less! It’s time… for a compromise.] Can I at least bring some for after we’re done and stuff? [food is like his family… and Ash has a point with the coat thing so he puts his back on, too.] Uhh… Sure! I have a lot of free time, too… since everyone’s still in that buzz from spirit week and the sort of weekly party feel. I dunno what to do, though… [He can actually think of a million things but all of them involve eating and/or slacking off for at least 2 hours straight. Such is the train of thought of Diamond.]
