Have a love for MAS and you want to share it? Well this event is a two for one deal! The MAS-Zine is a fan-created magazine for our OT3  that will be accepting any contributions alongside the week however if you prefer you can just summit work for the Zine.  

The Zine will be accepting turn ins until December 10th.

MarcoAceSabo Fanzine

Hey Guys!~  

Welcome to the first ever MarcoAceSabo event! As many of you have heard by now, there will be a whole week dedicated to this marvelous OT3, you can find all the details about it here: @mas-week2017

And along with the MAS-Week of 2017 there will be this accompanying event!~ A fanzine will be made alongside MAS-Week for anyone who is interested in submitting works of art and fanfics. And if you choose to enter videos, gifs, playlists and any other media, we can see how we can accommodate your works.

Some of you may be thinking, but what exactly is the MAS-Zine?

And we are happy you asked!~ The MAS-Zine is a fanzine, which is basically a fan-organized and fan-made magazine. Normally a Fanzine is composed entirely of works of art, but we shall be accepting fanarts, fanedits, and fanfics. So anything printable will do! All in all think about this event like a MAS-Centric magazine! We are trying to make a unique Limited Edition MAS-Magazine, so expect it to have a cover, snippets of stories/art, and column like “article” format like a real magazine would.

So Sign ups!

The MAS-Week event will be taking place between December 1st to December 7th, that’s when the blog will go live and every day we will have new postings, BUT you don’t have to wait as long to submit to the Zine, you can just send the fic/art/what have you to us via this email: ace_d_portgas@yahoo.com or google docs and we can start to place your work into the composition of the Zine. When submitting your works be sure to add warnings in your emails if you choose to take this route, and be aware that we may add our own warnings if we believe the content needs it.

Sign ups begin immediately. So you have until November 1st to sign up as a participant of the event. But you will be given until December 10th to actually submit your work for the MAS-Zine.

To enter, please follow this link and answer three simple questions ^^!~ We are asking if you would like to enter as an artist/writer/both. And we will, of course, need to know what tumblr URL/email you would like us to contact you on. And the last one is in the case you would like to use a different name for you within the Zine.

Submissions:

We will not be restricting any sort of content for the Zine, we will accept all Gen to Mature works, however, we ask that you that you let us know the rating so the appropriate warnings are given. There will be a section especially for MA ratings. We also ask that the works be MAS-Centric, include as many characters as you wish, but we have to ask that the focus remains around Marco, Ace, and Sabo.

At this point we do not know the specs of the Zine for artwork, other than we would require images of 300dpi, or greater. As for written works please keep them under 4k words there is no minimum. If you would like to partner up with other participants to create a magazine-esque sort of layout that is completely fine! Or if you want to go at it alone that's cool too!

And in regards to the days! You do not have to create content for every single day you can create things for one, to a couple, or every other day, there will be a sections divided for each day not including the MA/NSFW section. You do not have to decide how many days you will be creating for at this moment, but please have an idea towards the end of the event. We will be contacting you around November 30th for the final count on participants/works and provide more information on the final details.

Fan-Created, Fan-Paid.

If you have snuck a peek of the signup form, you may have noticed that we disclose the need for you to fully read this post. The MAS-Zine will be created by us fans, and as such, the fans will be the ones who will need to pay the cost of it’s making. Both of the event mods will be researching the most cost effective way for us to make this Zine a success. Our goal is for every participant to own a copy of what they worked for, so we ask that you be mindful that there will be a cost to the event. We do not know at this time how much each participant will have to chip in, those details will be disclosed the closer we get to the end of the sign up date.

However, we will strive to have a pre-order open for people who were unable to join the event but would like to support it and have a copy of this Limited Edition Zine. Again more details of this pre-order will be posted the closer we are to the event and release of the Zine. This of course will alleviate the cost of the fans producing the Zine and help us in the long run.
