Rewatched the entirety of the Venom trilogy over the past week and came to a sudden revelation (with myself). In the fight scene of the first Venom (2018), Riot kills Eddie and says "You are nothing" because even if Venom came to save him, a codex would be created. Riot knew no symbiote would want to create a codex and free Knull from the prison in Klyntar. Even as someone as powerful as Riot never wanted to create a codex if he was given the chance to.

That's why—when he and Carlton ascend inside the rocket and Riot sees Venom again—he calls him a traitor. He calls him a traitor for creating a codex, not for betraying their kind.

I decided to make an alternate Instagram account to see if there was any kind of tickling community on their new Twitter replacement, Threads. And I found out there was small kink community there under the "kinkthreads" tag. So I copy/pasted a few of my tumblr text posts to see what would happen.

People were actually being really friendly, though I seemed to be the only one there specifically posting about tickling. But there was some talk of a person sending anons to random, non-kink Threads profiles (through an external site called "ngl" or something like that), and it was upsetting people. So I made a post about it. That was when this guy first interacted with me.

I didn't think much of it in the moment. But he started commenting on my other posts too.

At this point, I felt like I needed to respond.

And after I said this, he shut up for the night.

Fast forward to this morning. A friendly person had replied to his comment on this post. I'm not gonna post her comment, because it's not important, and I don't want to drag her into this. But what came next was really unsettling...

Now I don't know all the specifics of the story. I wasn't there or anything. But I do remember Chicago from the TMF. I used to hang out in a group chat that she was a part of when I was first dipping my toes into the community back in college, YEARS ago. And if I remember correctly, she had pulled away from the TMF to stick to smaller, more private groups after an incident in which she was outed as a member of the tickling community to the people in her personal life.

I don't know what exactly this guy is talking about. But "she found out" that he was a "terror" to the community, and he had to "take her down." Again, I don't have all the details of what happened back then, but from this, it sounds like this guy just admitted that he was the one responsible for outing Chicago.

He was also being really creepy with the other person in the thread.

His pinned post says

Which seems to indicate that he has some kind of studio. So I googled his name, "aisbarika," and found his website. Seems like he takes foot pictures, and things like that... I would be VERY CAREFUL if this person ever tries to contact you with a modeling job.

Anyway. I took screenshots and then blocked him immediately. If you use Threads, be on the lookout for this guy.

And aisbarika, if you're on tumblr reading this, and thinking about trying to "take me down" too, I'm already pretty open with the people in my personal life about my involvement with the community. But even if I wasn't, it doesn't really matter what the risks are. I couldn't just stay silent about this.

Sure, we all love some rough tickles from time to time. Some deep kneading into our hips, thumbs digging into the sides and pits, different tools driving us absolutely nuts. It's lovely, and so much fun🫶

But what about the soft tickles? Fingertips gently running up and down your sides while you just bury your face into your lers shirt and giggle uncontrollably. Feeling the touch of the soft feathers gliding onto your soles and in between your toes, your ler laughing along with you.. Cuddly tickles. Oh my god those are absolutely the most adorable thing. Your lers face buried into your neck, nibbling and blowing gentle raspberries while their hands explore your tummy.

I love that I discovered fandom at my age (68). I’m retired after 40+ years of working full time. My kids are grown and my grandkids are young adults. I finally have the time to follow interesting people on sites like this, who broaden my perspectives and stimulate thought. I’ve immersed myself into the world of fan fiction where I’ve discovered extraordinary authors who so generously share their talent and creativity. Medical diagnoses - this is nobody's business but yours. You don't owe anyone an explanation for why you are the way that you are

But yeah! I watched Venom 2 recently (and then 1 again) and loved it — albeit not as much as the first. I find that I typically enjoy the original more, the sequel less, and then love the third when it comes to movies. I haven’t seen The Last Dance yet but I fear it will rip my heart out. : ‘)

I cannot stress how much I’ve always loved the idea of symbiotes and hosts and what-not — but the movie has made me appreciate Eddie Brock and Venom specifically sooo much.
