I made a Thing.
Taylor Swift songs, based on categories I made up⬇️
This took FOREVER and also reflects myself and my sister's opinions. Some songs were hard to sort, and other people may have sorted it differently.
Some songs from each catagory:
So In Love: Call It What You Want, Don't Blame Me, and London Boy
Bad Relationship Ending: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, All Too Well, and I Knew You Were Trouble
Sad Relationship Ending (AKA didn't want the relationship to end or feels bad about it ending): Champagne Problems, Coney Island, and Wildest Dreams
Mental Health: Anti-Hero, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, and This Is Me Trying
About Her Life (Not Romantic): Mean, Innocent, and Mastermind (Side note, did you guys ever realize she has three songs that are all about different stages in her life? Seven, Fifteen, and 22? You probably knew that already)
Miscellaneous: Betty, Safe & Sound, and Only the Young
Revenge (It's so funny to me that this is a category): Bad Blood, No Body No Crime, and I Did Something Bad
I went through 238 songs for this people.

You ever think about how many stories there aren't?
For example, I have a idea for a story (Doesn't matter what it's about) but I don't know if I'll ever get around to writing it. I don't know if Lily will ever see the light of day. And then there are all the other stories that are floating around in people's heads, but that will never come to be fully realized.
I mean, think about your favorite book or movie, how attached you get to the characters and the world. If Stan Lee had given up on Spider-Man, Suzanne Collins gave up on the Hunger Games, JK Rowling gave up on Harry Potter-- none of us would know what we had lost, and no one would mourn for the characters that so many of us know and love.
I don't know how to wrap this up, keep working on your pet project, I guess? You never know who'll be affected by it. And I suppose this is a love letter to all the characters that only existed in their creator's mind.

My Experience With OCD
I lay in bed, trying not to make a sound. Dawn was asleep on the bunk below me, and if I woke her up, I would be a bad sister. A Shadow hovered on the ceiling above me, staring down. I tried to roll over as quietly as possible. The bed creaked. The Shadow grew. I froze. Sorry, I’m sorry, I thought. The Shadow shrank. I breathed a sigh of relief. Loud, too loud. Dawn shifted in her bed, my fault. The Shadow floated closer and I shrank away, blankets rustling. I was still too loud. Dawn was going to wake up. She would be cranky the next day, and it would make it harder for my mom, and it would be all my fault. The Shadow reached for me and I tried to suppress the whimper building in my throat. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Don’t let her wake up. The Shadow receded again. I shut my eyes. I was a statue. Statues didn’t move. They didn’t make noise. They didn’t wake their little sisters up. Statues didn’t have to worry about Shadows. It was better to be a statue.

In honor of our very first sneak peek of the movie Wicked, my nostalgia kicked into high gear and I'm honoring one of my earliest fandom crazes with a silly little comic I'm calling "Fiyero Doesn't Get Enough Recognition For All The Shit He's Been Through."
Enjoy Fiyero having the weirdest 72 hours of his life.

I work at a thrift store and it's honestly depressing when I can tell what gender a pair of jeans is supposed to be for just by seeing how much of my hand fits into the front pocket.

Is there a better term for this very specific aesthetic other than "Overgrown Abandoned Buildings?" Cause it's one of my favorites.
Just the reminder that even after the possible self destruction of humanity, life will continue to thrive.

If you ever feel unpopular or socially awkward, just remember that Alexander Hamilton gave a six hour speech about forming a government modeled after the British government... less than five years after the American colonies finished a war against Great Britain because they didn't want to be under their government any more.

TLTR- Both MCU Spider-Man villains are villains because of Tony Stark. And capitalism, but that's more the Vulture than Mysterio.
Isn't it interesting that the first two MCU Spider-Man villains are villains for the same reason? Neither of them actually have a bone to pick with Peter, he just gets in their way. No, who they really have a problem with is a certain billionaire named Tony Stark.
Adrian Toomes. Blue collar worker who had his team's job was stolen by Stark Industries. He decides that in order for them to provide for themselves and their families, they may as well just steal and sell weapons and materials from the corporation that took their jobs in the first place.
Quentin Beck. Former employee for Stark Industries. He created an incredible holographic system which was mostly brushed off by his superiors. Everyone in his team is someone who once worked for Stark Industries, and was somehow screwed over by them.
(Quick aside, yes I know Quentin Beck was mentally unstable and did horrible things, believe me I want to punch him too)
Now we go to Peter Parker. A brilliant but naive teenage boy who idolized Tony Stark, and understandably so. Out of all the people Tony could have noticed, he noticed and validated Peter. So Peter doesn't ask any questions when Tony recruits him, he just flies out to Germany and fights along side him, without knowing why he's even there. Because that's his dream come true, he's friends with Iron-Man. And so when anybody disagrees or opposes something Tony does, Peter needs to fix it. And yes, what the Vulture and Mysterio were doing was wrong (Mysterio more than Vulture, gah I just want to slap- anyway). But they were doing what they had been taught to do; use whatever means necessary to get ahead. Because if you try to work within the system, it will use you until you're no longer needed and then toss you out with the trash.
Quotes-
Quentin Beck- "These days, you can be the smartest guy in the room, the most qualified, and no one cares. Unless you're flying around with a cape, or shooting lasers from your hands, no one will even listen."
Adrian Toomes- "Those people up there, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us? Like you and me? They don't care about us. We build their roads and we fight all their wars and everything; They don't care about us. We have to pick up after them, we have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is."

Me, thinking about all the assignments I had to do in my English class regarding the books we read- Ugh, reading books should just be for fun, not for analyzing endlessly.
Also me- *Writes six page essay on my own time for my own amusement about how the Hunger Games books use the characters to explore philosophical themes in a way younger audiences can still understand and enjoy, and how that makes them superior to most other YA dystopian literature*

Ever think about how Zemo is an avenger?
No, I don't mean he was part of the team of super heroes. Zemo is from Sokovia, and during the events of Age of Ultron his family was killed. Because of this he decides that the Avengers are too powerful, and that they need to be taken down. In his mind he's avenging his family. He's the one avenging in Captain America Civil War.
I'm not going to go over whether he was justified or not, I just thought it was interesting how part of our concept of who's good and who's bad really does depend on who's telling the story. Most times, the victors write the history.

Dead Poets Society
Spoiler alert in case you're like me and know nothing about anything ever.
So. As you can probably guess, I didn't really know anything about this movie, besides the fact that it has Robin Williams, he's a teacher, and presumably there's poetry. Also the quote "Oh Captain my Captain."
Then yesterday in English the teacher and another student were talking about the movie kind of offhandedly at the beginning of class. Everything's all well and good until I overhear, "He got into trouble, because of that kid that committed suicide," and let me tell you I was not ready for that development.
So I went to all the trouble of renting the movie (It actually was harder than it sounds, Amazon doesn't like being cooperative) so that I could see what the heck they were talking about. Also because Robin Williams.
So. Some of my thoughts as I was watching the movie. (Side note if I had any video editing expertise and wasn't camera shy this would totally be a YouTube video. I mean movie reactions are the main thing I watch, but anyway. I'm rambling.)
Aw, a tiny Ethan Hawke! How'd he get so small?
Is that Jim Carrey? *Looks it up.* It is not. BUT DON'T YOU SEE THE RESEMBLANCE?
So which one commits suicide? (Yeah I know, dark thought, but it isn't clear at the beginning. I mean, Knox literally says he'll die if he can't be with a girl he met. Once. That has a boyfriend. I know there aren't any girls at the school and your hormones are raging, but chill.)
Kid, seriously, I get where you're coming from but whY ARE YOU BEING SO CREEPY
This guy looks like Walmart version of Gale from the Hunger Games, NGL
They smoke a lot.
How the heck is this only PG?
