Hello everyone and welcome to yet another post of Marta's very old OCs! And today's it's a very special post because it's DEMON HUNTER HAGAN edition!! Aka: Hagan and his party directly comes from this urban fantasy gay comic I drew when I was 15 yo, and the similarities are more than obvious but they are very different characters now. Still, I wanted to recover them for one of my posts, hee hee. This story happened at the same time that this other high fantasy soup opera so they had crossover chapters, which were the best chapters of this story btw.

Anyway, prepare yourself.

This man was the main character, Harukaze (he/him), and he had a terrible trauma regarding his mother who died when he was a little kid. He was forced to hide his elven kinship since he was a half-breed and he lived in a very racist society, to the point he hated himself for not being totally human. His was a story of acceptance and self-love and ended with him meeting his disappeared father. The story started with him being hired as a bodyguard by Chorus, a young elf who needed protection on his way to the Elven Kingdom. Haru absolutely hated the idea but soon started changing his mind because Chorus is very special. Looking at him from the distance of the time, he was somewhere in the greysexual and bisexual spectrum. He was also sooooo submissive but top.

This little fucker is Chorus. He/him. Yes, the original Chorus wasn't female. And he was... the gayest rascal ever. He fell in love with Haru in chapter 1 and his only life goal was to fuck with him. He was so silly and chill so it was difficult to imagine that he had terrible psychic powers that allowed him to kill anyone just by thinking about it. In fact, his mental state was very unstable and he would ignore any critical situation on purpose because he was at his limit all the time. He killed all his abusive family (but his dear elder brother) and run away, and that's why there was so many assassins after him and he seeked assylum at the Elven Kingdom. Haru represented for him a escape from his reality and they developed a very co-dependent relationship.

Then, we have Chorus' brother, Mitsuyuki (he/him), and my very first diabetic character! This was because the day I had planned to draw his introduction chapter I was put into the hospital for treating my recently discovered diabetes. I care a lot about him and truth be told, Puresoul is pretty much the same character he was when he was Mitsu. Mitsu was your gay disabled wizard assassin whose fav colour was pink. His favourite person was Chorus and he went crazy for his little brother all over the country. He had a story of accepting his feelings for Allan, who he fell in love with at first sigh. The gay brothers. He also lost a bet by the end of the comic and had to dress with skirt, but then he discovered he liked dresses. Good for him!

The last member of the crew was Allan (he/him), the bisexual doctor! He joined the group in chapter 3 or so for treating Haru who had been intoxicated with poison. He actually lost his eye protecting Haru, it was a very dramatic end of chapter. He and Haru had a very strong platonic bond and they even felt some romantic attraction to each other but in the end they agreed to stay as platonic partners. Allan liked Mitsu very hard and at first tried to keep the distance but have you seen how cute is Mitsu??? They even married and adopted a son in the end.

And that's all for the Spring Boys! I'm so happy about drawing them again in DEMON HUNTER HAGAN because though they are very different characters I still see them this way.

Chorus doesn't have many living friends, so her relationship with Hagan means the world to her. When Hagan tells her about betraying the Church of Twilight, she cancels all her plans to protect Hagan at all costs. The most important person in her life is her brother Puresoul. She gets easily tired of jobs and quits every two months for mental health.

Maybe that's the real reason why he is after the unknown elven knight who talks to the fairies in the Belladonna Woods, not only they're hot, but also may be his chance to start anew...

Story: Song is a demon worshipper spy infiltrated in the Church of Twilight along with his elder brother in order to politically control the covenant. He quickly gained the covenant support thanks to his skill for casting and inventing high level sunlight miracles, one of which saved a princess of the church from a certain death. He deeply cares about his elder brother's health but can't seem to find the proper words and somehow he always end up screwing up and hurting him. Despite of being an easygoing and carefree person, he feels deeply alone and sometimes finds refuge in a strange world of nightmares where he dreams he can control fire.

Welcome to yet another post of Marta's very old OCs! Today we have another of my 2010's queer dramas, but this one was a special comic because it was like, the origin of all the other dramas I drew after. Also, I drew this comic twice, and the second time it had a special ending featuring a character from another comic that took place in the future because by changing the ending of this story he could rewrite the timeline and avoid the big drama of his own story, which allowed me to draw that comic again but with a new ending. It was a very complex story, ok?

This imposibly handsome wizard was the main character: Prince Darkdawn (he/him). He was a very talented half-elf wizard but his weapon of choice were his fists, and he punched the bad ones real hard. He had a very important mission: to protect an angel. Ironically, by the end of the story he died of an incurable illness that the angel infects him with... Despite of being a prince, his dream was to make a living of his erotica novels that for some reason nobody dared to publish. He started the story claiming he had never felt attraction (you can see my surprise as I was reading the comic and finding my first asexual quote) but by the end of the story he had three boyfriends. Looking at him from the distance, he was demi and pansexual, also sickly romantic. Wanna know his army of boyfriends?

This super cool elf here is Sora (he/him). Sora's big drama was he had amnesia and couldn't remember anything of three years of his life. Ironically, during the story he had an accident and forgot everything but remembered what happened during those three years and that's when he discovered he already knew the angel! Because he used to be his bodyguard! And they were a couple! But drama happened and was forced to quit the job then! And his romantic relationship with the angel too. He was the responsible party member, always caring about everyone and planning stuff ahead. His very gay ass fell in love with the prince almost instantly.

The cutest and smallest warrior ever was Song (he/him). Yes, this is a very early version of my Prince Forgotten Love Song, actually, both of them have a serious heart condition. However, this Song wasn't a prince and couldn't cast any magic, instead, he was trained exclusively for protecting the angel, so he was like his (new) official bodyguard. He was very very very cute and everyone adored him because of reasons and while he was the most capable party member he felt very frustrated at the minor failures. He was crazy for the angel and by the middle of the story started falling in love with the prince too. He was a very dramatic gay but also very top.

Finally, we have Angel (he/him). He was... good for nothing. He was a failed experiment and had super dangerous psychic powers he couldn't control. He actually used his powers once to defend Song in a battle but hurt everyone instead so for the rest of the story his role is of a helpless maiden. Because he was so so useless, everyone was obsessed with his well-being and loved him dearly. He had chronic pain and disliked his angel wings a lot. By the end of the story, the love of the prince, his exes (Sora wasn't his only ex) and the kiddo transformed him into A GOD OF LIGHT or something like that.

It was such a drama of 500+ pages full of sweet romantic scenes and tears. I don't do romantic scenes like that anymore...

So I recovered my very very very first comic ever (2007-2010!) and read a third of it (it was very long, I swear it has +500 pgs of urban fantasy drama, I drew that comic for 3 years, you know) and today I woke up and said "let's redraw these gays". So here you have my first queer original characters. Enjoy:

This is Kurogane (he/him). Of course, he had a Japanese name, can't you see how cool he is? At the young age of 20 years, he was already a professional goth ninja assassin and at some point in the story he was possessed by an evil spirit or something and killed lots of people. Well, that actually happened several times, it was a big drama. Yes, I was around 14 when I drew that comic so don't judge me. Up to date, He is still the gayest original character I have ever created, no oppressive system could censor his queerness, and he had the worst boyfriend you could ever imagine but together they were THE COUPLE of that comic. And they weren't even the main characters. They were either insulting each other or having sex. I loved them so much that I made another long drama comic about how they met. I drew that comic TWICE.

This horrible person here is Kurogane's boyfriend, also known as Kaze (he/him). Yes, he has a Japanese name too because I was 14 when I drew this and had recently found out how cool manga was. He was very gay and poly (he actually had another boyfriend and a girlfriend (?)). Kaze was the last survivor of an ancient dynasty of dark sorcerers and had crazy dark magic powers and was super skilful with the sword. He was pretty much perfect except because he was the most toxic character of that comic and was obsessed with controlling everyone. At some point in this urban fantasy drama, he becomes **THE DARKDAWN GOD** and on top of his super amazing dark sorceries, he autoheals himself and becomes practically immortal. There was a big drama about that because his soul was supposed to be so dark that he would never be able to go to heaven and reunite with the people he loved, especially his beloved Kurogane, so yes, there was no happy ending for them.

It was fun reading again all that senseless chaos of comics from the perspective I did write queer characters back in 2007 already and, you know what? They were pretty cool. Very chaotic and problematic, but they were a found family even when I didn't have the word for it. And well, I could trace all the way from my current original characters to their actual origins, haha.

So, yeah, I’m going to tell you about this super long comic I used to draw when I was a teen back in the 2010′s because I’ve recovered the massive folder were it has been stored for the last 13 years and decided to read it. And yes, it was bad. But omg it was the biggest queer drama ever and I remembered how much I loved the characters, SO…

Master Kai (he/him) was somewhere in the ace spectrum but back then I didn’t have the word for it. He was very very grey but also very very romantic and felt sensual attraction very intensely. There was a very big drama because his wife had died like a few months before the story began and he had problems dealing with that. However, his life changed for the better when he came back to his job as a math and magic teacher. He also fell in love again eventually.

Kaoru (he/him) was so chaotic bisexual polyamorous I can’t believe it. He was Kai’s fav student but he couldn’t cast any magic and he was actually very bad at maths but omg he did try. He wanted to become a teacher like Kai, his hero and not-so-secret love. As you can see, he was into drag and also was very slutty. There was big drama about him because he had a heart condition but also a big drama because for some reason he couldn’t avoid his destiny of dying very young and the comic was actually about everybody trying their best to save him.

Luka (he/him) was everybody’s worst nightmare. This kid was very good at casting any magic and on top of that he had a super skill for predicting the future. He was Kai’s adoptive son and would always spoil the kid. He was also toxic af but only Reki would realise it. He loved Kaoru so much that there was also an adult version of him who came from the distant future to save Kaoru too. Proud and gay.

Windy (he/him) was Reki’s nephew and for some reason he brough very bad luck to everyone like a curse. He was very good at everything but at casting magic and his dream was to become a musician. He would give his life for Luka and Kaoru but would also do anything to get Kai and Reki’s approval. Very easy to manipulate and also very jealous and gay btw.

Reki (he/him/she/her) was my first trans character but I also didn’t have the word for describing his experience back then but he was kinda agender and demi gay. He was crazy for Kai, like very very crazy for him, you can’t imagine the big crush he had on Kai. There was a point in the story they started dating and omg they were so happy together but this comic was a big drama and it didn’t end well. He also had big depression issues and could only find comfort in his job as a doc. Fashion icon.

AND that’s it.

Sometimes I think how cool it would be to sketch long comics without any script again, just for the pleasure of sketching and drawing drama but then I remember I’m not 15 yo anymore.

HAPPY ACE WEEK EVERYONE! (AGAIN)

For my second post for acespec OC event, I bring you one of my most beloved original characters, prince Fireopal (they/them). And Puresoul (he/him) again. I've made several short comics featuring my prince but I've been secretly writing a high-fantasy script for a long comic format...

Prince Fireopal is your asexual sex-repulsed loveless aromantic non-binary sorcerer! Yes, their whole identity is a threat to the system. And they are very proud of that. They are in a platonic relationship with a certain time traveller knight, their best friend ever! They are pretty much all time together having fun, and sharing poems and recipes and zero romance. Prince Fireopal doesn't quite have a word for defining this relationship but they find some kind of power in this freedom.

Puresoul doesn't need a word to define his identity, but his experience falls into the gay demisexual umbrella and somewhere in the greyromantic spectrum. In this story (which takes place long before meeting Allan and Hagan), he is in an enemies-to-lovers romantic relationship with Stargazer (aka Fireopal's dad). It took them long nights of talks and vulnerability but in the end, they agreed on the terms of their relationship, for now. Unexpectedly, Puresoul has found in Stargazer's son a sorcerer friend he pretends to keep for life.

HAPPY ACE WEEK EVERYONE!

For the acespec OC event this week, I bring you my coolest asexual original characters: Demon Hunter Hagan (he/him) and Cleric Hunter Puresoul (he/him)! I'm still working on the script of this untitled comic but here we go:

Hagan is very proud of his identity and would write a book about it. He is asexual sex-repulsed and biromantic. He is currently in a queerplatonic relationship with his bisexual boyfriend Allan and his tagless partner Puresoul. Allan and Puresoul are very different so Hagan has developed a particular love language for interacting with them, giving lots of kisses and cuddles to Allan and spending long comfortable silent coffee breaks with Puresoul. However, Hagan's innate love language is food (especially cheesecakes!) and now Allan and Puresoul seem to be starting to gain some weight... (Specially Allan.)

Puresoul prefers not to tag himself or his relationship with Hagan and Allan, he just doesn't need a word for it, but his experience falls into the gay demisexual umbrella and somewhere in the greyromantic spectrum. He can be extremely shy about showing affection and won't even hold hands with Allan or Hagan in front of others (it's very uncomfortable for him). Long ago, he forced himself to fight those feelings, but not anymore, and feels very grateful to be accepted as he really is. He occasionally kisses his partners and will let them fall asleep on his lap. His love language is crochet, so Allan and Hagan have lots of vests and jumpers crocheted by him.

Last Summer I made a short comic about them, so let me bring it back for this event:

Both Puresoul and Hagan's experiences are a bit of me, especially Hagan's yearning for a relationship where everyone's needs are filled without forcing other's boundaries to the limit or Puresoul's punk spirit of destroying amatonormativity, so I hope you can find yourself represented on them too.
