upcoming zelink fics

Now that Park Rangers and Other Complications is drawing to a close, I am thinking about what to work on next. I have a couple of things in progress and I am plotting out some new AUs.

I am in the middle of editing ‘Five days,’ a Zelda-centric, ZeLink flavoured post-BoTW oneshot (shout out to @dontwaitupxx and @muselover1901 for helping with this!). It will be posted some time after the last chapter of PR&OC.

After that, I wanted to write another ZeLink AU. I have a couple of ideas and am putting this into the void to solicit feedback as to what people are interested in:

In Time With You AU: Inspired by my favourite Taiwanese drama of all time. Link and Zelda are high school rivals turned adulthood best friends. When they attend a college friend’s wedding, Zelda begins to wonder what it would be like to have a partner in life. (Spoiler alert: She’s had one the whole time). Pining!Link and Stubborn!Zelda are back.

Urban Fantasy Noir: Private Investigator Link finds magical wards created by powerful urban witch Zelda at a scene that he’s been hired to investigate. When asked about it, she remains frustratingly tight lipped due to client confidentiality. However, when an attempted break-in happens at her apartment, she realizes she’s been drawn in to a conspiracy greater than she could have anticipated. Featuring Witch!Zelda, Private Investigator!Link, and a mystery involving magical wards, a stolen relic, and a prophecy that endures across time and space.

Cyberpunk AU: Zelda is the heir of Hyrule Industries, a technology megacorp, but also a brilliant scientist in her own right. She heads a major research project at HI and when they have a breakthrough, her father hires Link to watch over her. At first, she thinks her father is being overprotective, but when all hell breaks loose, he’s the only one that she can turn to. Scientist!Zelda and Body guard!Link.

Coffee Shop AU: There’s only one table with an outlet and Link is sitting at it. Zelda NEEDS it. Fluff ensues.

Neon Noir: Security consultant Link is approached by the mysterious and beautiful Zelda who hires him to track down and destroy a mech. What should be a simple contract turns into a complicated turf war that he’s now at the center of. Featuring Tired!Link and Femme Fetale!Zelda

Fewer government-directed restrictions

That’s literally it: fewer lockdowns, closures, and stay-at-home orders, often due to political pressure.

But COVID-19 is still here. It’s still contagious. People are still getting it. People are still dying from it. Just because it’s not as prominent in the news does not mean that this 2020 story arc has concluded!

Protect high-risk and vulnerable people

Self-isolate if sick, quarantine if exposed

Help flatten the curve and contain the outbreaks
