What he wanted to say was sure sure but he decided not to. This was just a funny conversation. Truthfully, he didn't even see himself in her leagues at all but was sure glad he had charmed her however he did it. Everyone had a type, that he knew based off the wiod stories he'd hear during his growing up. Though when she played coy that was like a bright neon ball on a string, he just had to pull. His smirk evident by the look on his face as she answered. The blush on his cheeks clear as day as she went on that made his dimple show off. "And you say I'm the romantic? Miss Poet over there." Wally couldn't help but chuckle to hide his utter flustered self.

His eyebrow quirked asbl the request for just being them was made. Usually, they'd carry along their mini koalas but this time felt a bit different, unsure how different but it felt different. His smile said it before his words did and nodded his head. "Just us sounds pretty prefect. The better to hold you in my arms without three different babes wanting up too."

The laughter rang out through their halls as he shrugged. "I would say I was born like that but don't think so. You just bring it out of me. Just to see you smile or get that excited gleam from getting a new book to add to your collection. That's more than enough reason to keep gifting you books. That and I love you but you know that already."

"Do I wanna bet? Yeah. I do." There was a calculated expression on his face as he gave her his full attention. Something in her features held something he hadn't seen before but kept quiet. He grabbed his bottle of water and took a sip as he waited. "You're on. What if I win and what I wanna do is Iceland? Either way you'd be a winner. The more we talk about Iceland, the more I want to go now." The silliness of his words had him chuckling.

He put his finger on his lips and made a no idea expression. "Wait, you know I like you in yellow? That's not a secret?" he smirked containing his laughter. He eagerly nuzzled her nose with his and cupped her face in his hands and kissed the tip of her nose. "Currently it says Buster but I don't really love that name. Wanna see a picture?" There was no way he knew she'd fold this quickly but he still had a few pictures just to convince her. "There may also be some paperwork coming to your office. May have put in our name in the running to adopt him."

"Your wife." she repeated, as a smirk made the corners of her mouth turn up. "Don't you forget it but," she smiled softly, "we got to get through this before we can actually be husband and wife again. Think you can do it or do you need an incentive?" Her eyebrows quirked as miss swollen lips puckered slightly. "Mm."

Her hand caressed his cheek as her fingertips slowly traced over his features. There was a ton more to talk through but for now this was enough. Apologies were said and though she'd yet officially say she forgave him, it was enough for now. Looking into his eyes after that kiss she smiled and raked her eyes down his chest. "I think that we should get back inside and downstairs and I really think you should not wear a shirt. After all, we did just have sex and it'll look better if you come down disheveled. Gran wants a grand baby. Maybe we'll get lucky and give her one this trip." she teased, highly doubtful but still funny. "Come on." She reached for his hand waiting to walk inside.

It was a somber nod, feeling the immense sadness growing in his chest, his reality dawning on him. All he did, everything he fucked up, and for it to yield nothing. It was a slap in the face, he truly was an idiot. "Somewhere along the way, I stopped listening. I'm sorry, it won't happen again." He continued staring at her phone dumbfounded, but the hurt in her tone pulled his gaze away from the screen. "Hey, who cares about everyone else? You're the only one that matters." A bashful smile inevitably formed, "I'll always be your idiot." It wasn't long before she jumped off the bed with his shirt in hand. Aaron sat up in bed, happily watching her run outside to enjoy the falling rain. His smile only grew, standing up and finding his pants. His shirt was currently occupied, so he went shirtless.

Today was a day for Jolie's points. She was right, he hadn't really asked. He did plan to properly ask, pop the question and everything if she chose, but Aaron couldn't interrupt her now. Jolie was absolutely beautiful, the rain only enhanced every feature. He never tired of watching the love of his life in pure bliss. He was careful to step closer to her, reaching for her waist and stopping her mid-twirl. "I planned to ask, but your answer beat me to it. My wife always had a nicer ring to it anyway." The cascading rain drops fell on his hair, small droplets hanging on the end of the hair strands. "Double headache, and double payment. I think they'll live. Changing my mind for the better," he confessed, feeling his heartbeat increasing upon hearing her giggle. His hand softly caressed her cheek, leaning in to meet her lips, as if to seal his commitment to her once more.

That forced smile was noticeable to him the more he looked at her. The more he really looked at her. It was when her words and actions didn't quite line up but he didn't say anything further. Being vulnerable was almost like being naked in front of a crowd and no matter what he could feel it took a lot of her. The way she leaned her cheek against his palm made him smile. Trust was a funny thing when it was given. He committed the moment to memory as his thumb gently caressed her cheekbone. "To be fair you never asked what marriage with me would entail."

He'd totally blame being Lennox for crossing this invisible line but really he couldn't begin to even think to be sorry. The weight of the situation weighed heavily on them. He could feel it and though something about this made him feel like this was a goodbye, he was stubborn and wouldn't let it become a goodbye. He couldn't let it be one. Not when she meant more to him than she even realized. She wasn't Mrs. Fioreli. She was just her to him. Elizabeth. Nothing would change how he looked at her. And that brought him to this point, where he took her hand and pulled her in and kissed her. It was the type of kiss he didn't intend to bring forth his feelings into but now was too late to pull back from.

He breathed heavily after pulling back as his darkened green hues went back to their normal color. His face showed he was sorry but his heart pounded hard against his chest, making his healing ribcage burn with that big of a deep breath. You really do look beautiful, habibi.
