glamour water for self-love and confidence
with the energy of valentine’s day still in the air, and with the full moon in leo tonight, what better time is there to do a little glamour/self care?
materials:
white, pink, and/or red candle
rosemary, for love and success
rose petals, for love and beauty
moon water
witch hazel water, for blood flow, healing & liveliness (also helps with acne!)
rose quartz, green tourmaline and/or clear quartz
bowl or vessel
two cotton balls or pads
instructions:
cleanse/prep your space however you like. i typically light sandalwood, a cleansing incense, and will sweep my area clean. invite and give thanks to air as you watch the smoke fill the area.
take your candle, and carve the rune Isa(z), for self-image/ego/identity into the side. you can also use your own self confidence/self love sigil if you have one. i’ve found this to be more effective with your own sigils/symbols. light your candle, and invite and give thanks to fire as the heat rises from the wick.
take a moment to meditate or journal and reflect on your intentions. write down your affirmations, if you’d like, on a small slip of paper to use in a later step. focus on what you’re trying to accomplish.
next, move on to your crystal(s). charge them with your intent: in this case, we’re going with self-love, healing, purification, confidence. hold the crystals in your hand and imagine yourself, confident as can be, with an absolutely radiant energy; a beautiful smile stretched across your face. place the crystals in the bottom of your bowl/vessel. invite and give thanks to the earth.
add your water and witch hazel. you want to go with a 1:2 ratio of water to witch hazel (of course, you can eye-ball this). invite and give thanks to water as you pour them into your vessel.
add your herbs. be sure to hold each herb in your hand, and remind yourself of what the herb is for. fuse your intentions into each herb before adding them to your vessel.
using your finger or spoon/small mixing tool, stir your mixture clockwise. during this step, you can choose to repeat or chant affirmations. (for me, personally, i will be focusing on my intentions of glamour and self confidence as i watch the water whirl around and around).
after you feel the energy has infused into the mixture, take your two cotton balls and drop them into the water. allow them to soak up the mixture for a moment, and imagine them soaking up all the good energy, confidence and glamour.
next, take one cotton ball and rub on your face. discard of the cotton ball. feel free to allow the mixture to sit on your face, or, pat dry with a washcloth. feel free to apply a lotion or moisturizer as well!
take the next cotton ball from the vessel, and rub on your chest (heart), arms, and neck. discard of the cotton ball.
feel free to bottle the remaining mixture (and crystals) in a spray bottle, and use whenever you need an extra “umph” to your morning routine. you can also bottle the remaining mixture (and crystals) in a spell bottle, and keep on your altar or in your bathroom and shake it whenever you need it. otherwise, keep the mixture in your vessel overnight, and discard by pouring into a pot of soil (or, simply in your backyard). feel free to collect the crystals before doing so — just be sure to cleanse/charge them before re-using them in another spell/ritual.
that’s it! happy full moon witches, and blessed be! ✨

I recently created this spread for a blind reading of a customer. I formulated it for both me to get to know the customer better and for the customer to know themself better and get some advice from the spread. I call it the Star Body Spread, and it explores how many types of influences affect decisions and choices and then tells us what actions we should and should not take. I ended up liking it so much, I decided to share it for free use! (I have refined the spread since the original reading.)
The Heart - You: This card explains the nature of the sitter themself.
The Head - Crowning Influences: Decisions/Thoughts. The primary influence(s) on the sitter and the decisions they make. Not necessarily positive or negative.
Left Hand - Negative Influences: Negative choices of action. These influences aren't as strong as the crowning influence, but these are the main cause of bad choices the sitter might be making.
Right Hand - Positive Influences: Positive choices of action. Again, these influences aren't as strong as the crowning influence, but these are the influences that lead the sitter toward good choices.
Left Foot - What You Can't Do: How to move forward. This foot addresses the things that the sitter needs to accept that they cannot change. Trying to do what you can't do might screw things up.
Right Foot - What You Can Do: How to move forward. This foot address the changes and decisions that are most within their power and will make the biggest impact for them.
Blockage: Does not have to be included, but I include blockages in most interview spreads as most people have them. It is placed last and over the heart card.

Tarot Reading Tips 💖
🔮 Learn the classic definitions of the cards - you don’t need to memorize every card’s meaning, I still use my book, but knowing a general meaning of cards will help
🔮 Wands- fire, Cups- water, Swords- air, Pentacles- earth
🔮 Using the elements helps me understand the cards and give them meaning
🔮 You can connect with a card by envisioning it and placing yourself inside of it- Stand in it and think of what you feel, see, smell, hear. I think this is a fun little exercise, though I don’t do it frequently.
🔮 Incorporate lucky numbers, personal habits and preferences into the way you shuffle, pull cards and organize spreads
🔮 I cut the deck and deal cards with my left hand (I’m right handed), but that’s just me
🔮 If you want more information on a card, pull another one and place it on top of the first.
🔮 Don’t pull too many cards or do too many readings- If you overwhelm yourself with information or deal half the deck, the cards tend to lose meaning and you learn very little from the reading.
🔮 Practice on yourself, family and friends- the more you practice the better you’ll know the cards and be able to create a story, which brings me to…
🔮 Connect the cards to make a story- this is how my mom reads cards and it always blew me away how she could just create this little story from a few cards and really give them life. Connecting the cards makes it easier to understand and less like random tid-bits of information.
🔮 Thank your cards when you’re done
🔮 Try meditating before a big reading- this doesn’t have to be classic meditation where you clear your mind, it can be very personal and whatever you feel like connects you to your cards, the person you’re reading and any deity or spirit you might be asking for help.
🔮 You don’t need to call on Gods or spirits while reading. If you’re not into that, don’t mess with it. And if you do practice this, please do it responsibly.
🔮 When I meditate I see vines, water, energy and spirits- I know that when these all come together I’m calm and focused. Your meditation will probably be nothing like mine and that’s perfectly normal.
🔮 Not a tip, but now that I’m thinking about it, is there a name for what I’m doing besides ‘meditating’ because I don’t find that fitting? 🧐
🔮 Never stop learning (exhibit A ⬆️) and don’t be afraid to ask possibly silly questions (see: exhibit A)

hi! im always trying to learn more about tarot, but i keep coming across the same entry level tips and lessons. do you have any advice for more advanced or intermediate tarot readers?
Advanced Tarot Techniques
You come across tips for beginners because tips are generally for beginners. External sources, such as books and websites, are mostly meant for readers who are in the early stages of their journey. They are training wheels.
The moment you consider yourself intermediate, your growth should mainly be internal. That is, as you read for yourself, you discover new ways of how the cards manifest. And as others approach you with questions you have never been asked before, you develop new ways of seeking answers. That is how you mature as a reader.
Here are methods and findings I uncovered for myself back when I was intermediate and further enhanced once I was advanced:
How to Predict Your Sex Life
How to Predict Timing
How to Foretell the Whole Year Ahead
How to Predict Sports Matches
Extreme Card Meanings
How to Use Oracle Cards with Tarot
How to Use the Cards for Vengeance
Tried and Tested Reversal Meanings
How to Read the Cards as Advice
How to Speak to the Dead
The Major and Minor Arcana Twins
How to Uncover Your Past Life
How to Really Answer Yes or No Questions
Literal Card Meanings
Polar Opposite Cards
What It Means to Keep Seeing the Same Suit
How to Make a Difficult Choice
How to Uncover Hidden Health Issues
Meanings for Sex
How to Determine Physical Appearance
How to See Someone’s True Intentions
How to Use the Cards for Mind Control
How to Discover Your Life Purpose
Knowing If Someone Will Ever Get Married
Ideal Spread for Fortunetelling
How to Predict How Long You Will Live
Why Self Readings May Fail
How to Read the Cards as Someone’s Feelings
How to Use Lenormand with Tarot
The Greco-Roman Gods in Tarot
How to Identify Your Soulmate

Uses for Rainwater
It’s been raining a lot lately, so I thought I’d make a post of some magickal uses for rainwater.
Purifying Rainwater is water in its purest form, filled with no energy other than that of the sky. To purify any object, lightly rinse it in a bowl of rainwater. Once you’ve covered all of it in water, let it sit out to dry. Don’t dry it with a towel. This will allow your object or talisman to purify with the water on its surface.
Ritual Baths Ritual baths are a common wiccan tradition to cleanse one’s mind, body, and soul before casting an important spell or performing an important ritual. A ritual bath usually consists of warm water and salt, sometimes with a quartz crystal sitting on the edge of the bathtub. Adding rainwater to a ritual bath can help the cleansing, making the effects of the bath much stronger. Rainwater can absorb any negative energy you’re holding inside yourself and replace it with the purity of the sky.
Cleansing Negative Energy If you want to help cleanse yourself of some negative energy or spirit which you believe has been following you, there are ways of doing this other than a ritual bath. Get a bowl of pure rainwater and dip in two adjacent fingers. Touch your wet fingers to any energy points which resonate strongly with you (if you aren’t sure, try both of your temples and the center of your forehead). If you feel the negativity in a certain part of your body, make sure to touch the water to that area.
Protection You can bless and protect a room by sprinkling rainwater in each corner. You can also do a small protection ritual to protect yourself or another by writing down the name of whoever you wish to protect in black ink, along with what you wish for them to be protected from. Soak the paper in the rainwater until it falls apart. Don’t use too thick of a paper for this.
Divination If you have enough, make tea with the rainwater you collected. If you do this, make sure your rainwater has not touched anything (such as plants or rooftops) before you collected it. The spirits of the sky will help your divination by empowering the water with their wisdom. You can also put the water in a scrying bowl as another method of divination. Rainwater will make your divination much stronger and clearer, but it won’t have much effect if you don’t have much affinity with divination to begin with.
If you know any other uses for rainwater, feel free to add to this list!

The Great Goddess Hecate (Hekate)
Who is Hecate? She is the Goddess of Witchcraft, Necromancy, Ghosts, Magic, and, in some instances, the Night, Darkness, The Mist, and Moon. For some She is also the goddess of motherhood, protection, and the sea. She is a Hellenic deity, born of the Titans Asteria and Perses. There’s a few beliefs circling around Her being a crone goddess or a Triple Goddess, but those are modern and neopagan beliefs—which She predates. I also consider Her to be a part of the Chthonic deities.
Symbology: Black dogs, Wolves, Keys, Torches, Flames, Torches, Crossroads, Serpents, Daggers, Birds of Prey (crows, ravens, owls), the Moon, witchcraft tools (such as cauldrons, tarot, athames)
Offerings & Devotional Acts for Her:
Figurines of any of Her symbols
keys, skeleton keys, lockets
fire witchcraft and candles, flames, matchsticks
dedicating any lunar or symbolic jewelry to Her
black/dark crystals such as obsidian and onyx
nocturnal animal imagery
black/cool colored glitter
baneful/poisonous herbs and plants
pomegranates/berries (She seems to really like blackberries)
dark blend wines
honey, cinnamon, poppy seeds, chocolates (dark)
mugwort, lavender, roses, jasmine, dragon’s blood
bones and feathers from birds of prey (please check your local laws about obtaining these)
pinpricks of blood (please DO NOT attempt this if you struggle with self harm/etc, blood magic is particularly strong and isn’t for everyone. She will understand if you cannot offer that to her).
Taking midnight walks, setting up altars and rituals at crossroads, paying respects to the dead and practicing your craft in a cemetery
Any playlists, poems, literature, whether it be your own or just a piece you associate with Her, also make wonderful offerings.
Lunar Influences & Connections: Reaching out to Hecate tends to work best at night, and really any time the moon is at it’s peak. The Witching Hours, midnight to 3A.M., during strong lunar influences (blue moons, blood moons, eclipses, new moons, etc) all hold strong bonds with Hecate. Also, any time it is particularly foggy or your surroundings are covered in a mist is a good time to try to connect with Her.
Disclaimer: These are correspondences that have been gathered through my personal experiences working through my craft with Her. If you find She responds better to different offerings/during different times, by all means, stick to it! Your bond with Her is your own and should be cultivated in whichever way works best for you and Her. Thank You!

Magical Waters & Recipes Every Water Witch Should Know About
A few things before we get into this! Not all of these magical waters are meant to be consumed. Any waters you plan to ingest should be made with bottled water for safest results. Any herbs used should also be researched. Always always always be aware of what you’re putting into your body! Also this is for reference so it is very shorthanded with the recipes. You should have no problem finding more detailed versions online or in a book. Be sure to label your waters as specifically as possible. Date made/collected, herbs used, safe for consumption, etc should all be included. Lastly, any waters can have appropriate food coloring and/or glitter added to them as well.
Natural, to collect:
1. Rain - renewal, cleansing, adds extra potency to spells, peace, relaxation
2. Storm - strength, confidence, motivation, force, protection, cursing
3. Snow - purification, transformation, ending for a new beginning
4. Swamp - binding, cursing, banishing, warding
5. Sea - purification, protection, psychic abilities, healing, cursing
6. Lake - knowledge, memories, reflection, emotions
7. Pond - binding, restricting
8. River - moving on/forward, change, cycles
9. Dew - beauty, youth, fertility, love
Simple, charged waters:
1. Sun - purification, positivity, energy, solar magic Bask in the sun from sunrise to sunset
2. Moon - purification, balance, lunar magic, adds extra potency to spells Bask in the moonlight overnight
3. Rainbow - positivity, luck, hope, unity, money Use a mirror or another reflective object to make a ‘rainbow’ and leave water there for at least one hour
4. Shadow - strengthens secrets, hides truth, deception Bask in an area that receives no light whatsoever for a day
Advanced, to make:
1. War - banishing, cursing - put nails and some spanish moss into a glass jar with one cup of water and let it sit for several weeks. - once the moss decays and the color turns dark and murky, it’s ready - meant to be thrown at the feet or on the doorstep of recipient - can also be used as a protective barrier around the house
2. Indigo - protection, purification, empower charms - mix one cup of water with 1 mexican anil ball
3. Infusions - usually used with fragile herbal matter - pour 2 cups of boiling water over 3 whole flowers - cover and leave until it cools completely - strain into a glass container with a non-metallic lid - store in a cool, dark place
4. Decoctions - usually used with dense herbal matter - simmer herbal matter with 8 oz water - do this until matter becomes limp & pale - strain, store in a cool, dark place
5. Inks - light a candle and hold the back or bowl of a metal spoon ABOVE the flame until it is covered with a black soot - scrape off the black soot into a small bowl. *warning: this can be extremely tedious and time consuming - add hot distilled water, one drop at a time, to dissolve the soot - slowly add powdered gum arabic until desired consistency is achieved - you can also try beet, grape or any other dark colored juice - invisible ink is something you can try as well
6. Flower Essences Honestly, I’ve seen a few different ways to make these floating around online. I do not have enough experience with these to claim which is the ‘right’ way to do it, but, I do suggest you research it to see if it is something you’d be interested in making and utilizing in your craft. Especially if you have your own garden or greenhouse. It involves cutting fresh flowers and putting them in the sun with absolutely no shadows passing through it. I believe the process is similar to a gem essence. These are meant to be consumed, so please do your own research before attempting.
7. Gem Essences/Elixers - place a cleansed, non-toxic crystal or gem into a clear glass bowl or bottle with water - leave in sun or moonlight 6-12 hours - remove crystal and add 2/3 preservative (this is the mother essence) - add 7 drops of the mother essence to a small glass dropper - top off with 1/3 preservative and 2/3 water (this is for use)
There are plenty other forms of magical waters and this list is by no means complete. Again, a simple search can find you more detailed versions or variations on these recipes. But I believe these are the most valuable to any witch who likes to use water in their craft.
