BSD Chapter 104.5 - Nifuku - The later part
Short chapter this month.
Please note that neither English nor Japanese is my mother tongue so I may make mistakes here and there. Please let me know if you find any.
SPOILERS AHEAD
- The flashback shows Fukuzawa saying after Fukuchi left that, not letting comrades die and ending the war is differnt and he will be the one who brings the war to an end. The narration that follows states that Fukuzawa went and kill the war advocates after that and ended the war, while Fukuchi, in the battle field, turned into an “Asura” (a god in Hindu myth who is usually pictured as bad)
- Meanwhile, Atsushi had a breakdown after hearing the true motive of Fukuchi’s plan. He finally understands what Decays of Angel means, a meaning that the ADA didn’t know of. Teruko opens the door for him to leave but he can’t, not knowing what he should do. He says everything is 36 years’ worth of burden, to which Teruko affirms.
- Back to Fukuchi and Fukuzawa, Fukuzawa gets slashed by Fukuchi’s sword and collapse. Fukuchi says that he needs an audience to witness end of the human race, then proceeds to call that Secretary guy in the government. He orders the guy to unseal One Order in 5 minutes and starts the vampire’s world invasion.
- Fukuzawa proceeds to guess Fukuchi’s real motive. He asks if his real purpose is to take revenge, to which put a scary expression on Fukuchi’s face. Fukuzawa refused to join him in the battlefield, and as Fukuzawa says, the place he went to was pure hell, where soldiers fed on each other while starving in an island with no supply, where soldiers would be shot by their commanders if they tried to surrender, where they used the healing ability to force soldiers to fight till their death. Fukuchi hates the fact that only the soldiers on the frontlight has to suffer, hates the headquarters who gave orders thoughtlessly, the Cabinet that pushed all their political fails onto the soldiers, and the people who advocated the continuation of war. In the end, Fukuzawa says that the reason Fukuchi targets the ADA is to take revenge on him, who “betrayed” him.
- After saying his guess, Fukuzawa tells Fukuchi to release everyone as he promised, but is stabbed by Fukuchi, who says that his guess was actually wrong.
Next chapter comes out on January 4 (Japanese time, also the day the anime SE4 premiers)

BSD Chapter 104
The chapter's name is "Two Fukus - The first half", assumingly referring to the letter "Fuku" in "Fukuchi" and "Fukuzawa".
I don't speak English nor Japanese as my native language so please let me know if you find any mistakes.
SPOILERS AHEAD
We have a flashback of when Fukuchi first met Fukuzawa. Fukuchi came to Fukuzawa's dojo (training hall) to challenge. Before going there, he had crushed 39 other dojos so far. Fukuchi was surprised to find only Fukuzawa there. Fukuzawa told Fukuchi everyone had evacuated, implying that Fukuzawa alone was enough to take him down.
They fought and it was a draw. Both of them took 18 hits from the other. Fukuchi was excited to find someone of the same age who was as skilled with the sword as him. Fukuzawa said Fukuchi was too loud and Fukuchi told Fukuzawa he was too taciturn. Fukuchi asked for Fukuzawa's name and decided that he will, together with Fukuzawa, master their swordmanship, and then they will gaze at the furthest view together. Fukuzawa smiled and took the chance to give him the 19th hit with his wooden sword.
The scene changed to 13 years later. Fukuzawa was waiting on the river bank, when a blossom petal was falling into his cup of wine. Fukuchi appeared and cut the petal into 4 pieces before it fell into the cup, to which Fukuzawa said it was such a violent way to say sorry for being late. Fukuchi said it was his punishment for drinking first.
They sat down next to each other and talked. Fukuchi said that he had been called to the battlefield in an island. Things looked tough and he had a bad premonition. Fukuzawa asked if he was afraid to die, to which Fukuchi said it was worse than that, that he had a feeling he would not come back being the same person.
Fukuchi then asked Fukuzawa to come with him. But Fukuzawa said he didn't like being in an organization. He was not suitable to be either a superior or a subordinate. Fukuchi then asked him what if he came as a "friend". Fukuzawa told him there was nothing in the battlefield rather than the act of killing people. Fukuchi disagreed, saying that it was a place where he could save lives. He insisted that Fukuzawa come with him, but Fukuzawa didn't change his mind.
Fukuchi gave up. He said he was different from Fukuzawa, who was just a lone wolf. Because had friends who he didn't want to die. He left after that, leaving Fukuzawa there, who said sorry quietly to him.
This is the end of this month's chapter. Next chapter will come out on December 2, 2022 (Japan time).

Special Wan! Chapter on this month’s Young Ace Magazine
As the main story is taking a break, Young Ace magazine this month comes with two short stories from Wan!
SPOILERS AHEAD
1. Yes, just another peaceful, happy and worry-free day
Atsushi tells Dazai about his dream, where a lot of bad things happened.
Dazai tells him to rest assured because it is a very peaceful day. Kunikida is cleaning Katai’s house. Yosano is going shopping and Kenji is walking the cows.
Atsushi goes on to tell Dazai that in his dream, all the Port Mafia turns into monsters and raging around town. Dazai is like aren’t they always like that, and show Atsushi that Akutagawa is happily dancing with Higuchi cheering xD
Unable to accept the fact that the day is too peaceful, Atsushi runs outside and meets Chuuya who smiles and offers to help him, which scares him even further xD
The chapter ends with Dazai watching Atsushi grunting in his sleep, and it turned out Atsushi hasn’t waken up from his bad dream xD
2. A mysterious hole that just conveniently opened up
A story in which Dazai, Chuuya, Akutagawa, and Atsushi fell into a big and deep hole that just randomly opened up on the ground.
Dazai felt on top of Atsushi and was safe thanks to the tiger power, and Akutawa doesn’t like the fact that he was not the one who protected Dazai first xD
Chuuya scolds them for fighting for silly reasons, then a second later starts fighting with Dazai because he is making fun of his height.
They start to think how to get out of the hole. Chuuya says that he can use his gravity, Aku can use Rashomon, and Atsu can use his claws to crawl out. And that leaves only Dazai who cannot get out by himself (lol). Chuuya plans to leave first when Dazai grabs his coat, and does not let go. He doesn’t let Aku and Atsu go too, because he wants to see what the three of them would become if he keeps whining there. And he can’t wait to know who would die first.
Atsushi comes up with an idea. He tells Dazai that if they keep staying there, the four of them will happily become bones together. Dazai is shocked, realizing that he will not be able to die with a beautiful woman and changes his mind.
The three of them want to just leave Dazai in there, but they still end up getting him out of the hole, with a lot of effort xD
Next month, the main story will come back, and the new chapter will come out on November 4 (Japan time)

BSD Chapter 103 - “Jingaimakyou” Part 3 - The first half
Gonna be a very short summary today cuz I haven’t slept for 24 hours 🥲
PLEASE NOTE THAT I DONT SPEAK EITHER ENGLISH NOR JAPANESE AS MY NATIVE SO IM VERY SORRY IF I MADE ANY MISTAKES.
SPOILERS AHEAD
- Fukuchi remembers him holding a dying soldier who told him he didn’t want to die and beg Fukuchi to somehow take revenge for all of them who had to die a meaningless death like that.
- Fukuzawa and Ranpo arrives at the scene. Apparently Fukuchi has sent them a fake signal to come and meet with Atsushi.
- Fukuzawa told him that he couldnt contact the other ADA members and Fukuchi then showed him Kunikida and Tanizaki being tied to two beds. These are devices used to restrain dangerous criminals. It uses suppression to stop their heartbeats and uses external electrical stimuli to keep their hearts beating. It means if he turns off the device, they will die immediately.
- Ranpo listens to the whole thing and thinks to himself that the situation is still in control because he has expected it. He has a novel written by Poe in his pocket and the plan is to seal Fukuchi inside it, where he cannot use his swords anymore.
- But Fukuchi is already warned by his future self about that, so he uses the sword to stab through Ranpo’s hand and attacks him first then takes him as a hostage.
- Fukuzawa says that now he is sure that Fukuchi’s goal is not to annihilate all countries. He must have other purposes, or else he doesnt need to take hostages.
- Fukuchi admits it and asks Fukuzawa to guess his real motive. If Fukuzawa cannot guess it within 5 minutes, he will kill all the hostages.
The chapter ends here. Next chapter will come out at 12am JST, September 2.
Thanks for reading till the end.

BSD Chapter 102.5
A short chapter this month, "Jingaimakyou - The second part".
Neither English nor Japanese is my mother tongue so I'm very sorry if I make mistakes. Please let me know if you find any.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Aku finds Aya and Bram hiding in the truck. He hears an order echoing in his head to "kill the one who stole Bram" so he aims Rashomon at Aya. Rashomon is seen pierced through something but we don't know who/what it is yet.
Meanwhile, Fukuchi hears from Teruko that Tecchou has been down. He tells Teruko that its hard to find the enemies in such a big airport, so he will send an "investigation expert" to look for them. Teruko asks who that is and Fukuchi says that it is himself.
Fukuchi starts walking around the airport. The airport area is divided in 256 lots and he will have to check all of them. As he is waking, he sees a letter saying "A1 x" appearing on the wall in front of him, and immediately knows that the Detective Agency is not in A1. He can do that because his future self has checked the A1 area and send the result to the "past" (which is the current Fukuchi), using his Amagozen sword. By repeating that process, he could see the search results around the whole airport within seconds and immediately finds the ADA's whereabouts.
In a part of the airport, Kunikida and Tanizaki are looking for Aya. Kunikida seems very confused by the fact that Aya is at the airport and on top of it, is carrying Bram with her to run away. He thinks that he will give her a 3-hour lecture later. Suddenly Tanizaki disappears. As Kunikida calls out to him, Fukuchi is seen attacking him from behind.
Inside the lab, Atsushi is still tied to the bed. He tries to move but cannot, because he is stuck to a machine that is transmitting some kind of drug into him. He tries to stop that but is threatened by Teruko with her sword.
The chapter ends with a side note, "And the torture (hell) begins".
Next chapter will be out on August 4th JST. Thank you for reading :)

BSD Chapter 102
Chapter’s name is Jingaimakyou – The first part (roughly translated to “mysterious place out of the human world”). Not sure if it is done on purpose but author Oguri Mushitarou wrote a novel of the same name.
We have a change of pov this month, so we will have to wait at least another month to know what happened in the prison, but instead we get to learn a lot about Bram in this new chapter, and also Bram and Aya interactions are the cutest <3
Please note that neither English nor Japanese is my mother tongue, and Bram’s speech is so hard to understand so I may make mistakes. Please let me know if there is anything you want to correct.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Aya takes Bram to a parking lot and both of them get into a truck of a laundry service. (Bram is like oh this wagon doesn’t have any horses XD). Aya explains to him that besides passengers, there are many other people working in airport service who go in and out of the airport every day. And the securities will not have enough time to check through everything here, so if they get in one of these vehicles and wait, they will be able to get out of the airport once someone drives it out. Bram praises her and Aya is like of course I am the ally of justice.
Aya looks at the sword piercing into Bram and tells him they can look for a way to pull it out together if it hurts. Bram says that it is stupid because once the sword is pulled out, it will release the devil inside him and bring and darkness to earth blah blah blah. Aya then asks him what exactly that sword is, and Bram tells her that the sword used to be human. Hundreds of years ago, when a skill user died, his physical body was turned into metal by the skill, from which this Holy Sword was made. That skill that remains even after the user’s death was the skill to fuse a “physical body” with an “ability”.
We get a quick change of scene here, where Atsushi hears Dazai’s voice calling out for him, telling him to wake up because there is no time. Then he opens his eyes to find himself being tied up in a (supposedly) torture room with Teruko staring at him.
Back to Bram and Aya, Bram continues to explain that the sword has the power to connect the “physical/material” and the “mental” aspect of things, granting the power to control “skills” like a part of the “body”, a skill that goes against the law of this world. When stabbed by the sword, it will take its roots into your brain, and it will craves a holy mark on the person holding the sword. Right now, the mark is on Fukuchi’s hand, which means only Fukuchi can use his power.
Aya says that Bram seems to know about the sword very well, to which Bram tells her that is because he has been stabbed by this sword not once, but twice. There is a flashback of Bram from long ago when he and his kins’ heads were hanged on stakes, in front of a big army who are cheering to “kill the enemy of God”. And Bram was asking the soldiers to have mercy and spare the members of his fief, when one of them called him a demon and slashed his head with the sword.
Back to present, Aya asks why Bram is making such a sad face, Bram says that it’s the worry of the lord that the underlings can never understand. Aya stops him there, asking him if he is calling her an underling, and Bram tells her she is more like a horse because she carries him on his back and takes him around (xD). Aya says she would drown him in a bathtub and Bram somehow acknowledges that it is the way people nowadays worship their lord. Aya says no one can beat him at being a natural airhead.
Suddenly the top of the truck they are sitting are cut off and vampire!Akutagawa appears in front of them. Bram urges Aya to run away as quickly as she can.
The chapter ends here. Next chapter will be out on July 4 (JST). Thank you for reading till the end ^^

BSD Chapter 101
We finally got a new chapter name! "Drifting Underwater"
Things went really fast in this chapter and a lot of new information has just been thrown in I need some time to proceed it but Dazai is so consistently crazy and messed up and in-character and somehow it makes me feel good XD
Note that neither English nor Japanese is my mother tongue so I do make mistakes here and there. Please let me know if there is anything you want me to correct.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Sigma asks Dazai what he is going to do against such a strong opponent like Chuuya, and Dazai tells him its is okay because he has been thinking about ways to kill Chuuya everyday over the last seven years, and also he is getting help from "angel". Sigma understands that he is talking about his help from outside, to which Dazai says Sigma is pretty sharp for a three-year old.
Dazai then explains to Sigma how he uses his heartbeat to communicate with Ango. Sigma tells him that he is a liar and it is just a part of the truth, because if that's the case, it is just one-way communication. Dazai then asks Sigma to guess what he uses, and that if he guesses it right, it means he is better than Fyodor. Sigma then starts to think about very seriously and Dazai thinks to himself how honest Sigma is and that he is just like Atsushi.
Sigma suddenly remembers the situation they are in and reminds Dazai that they have to break out of that prison before Fyodor. Dazai tells him that they don't have to because he is going to kill Fyodor within the time of the game.
Meanwhile, as Fyodor enters the passcode to open a door, the system shows an error and an alarms goes off, locking all the doors around him and Chuuya (even though he seems to have opened all the previously doors swiflty). Water starts pouring into the room. All the doors are built to deal with special skills so even Chuuya cannot destroy it easily, and once the operation starts it can not be cancelled.
Dazai and Sigma finally reaches the central control room and Dazai just casually opens the door, which freaks Sigma out because he expects to see a bunch of prison guards inside that. But as the door opens, what Sigma sees is a bunch of bodies, and everyone has been brought down. He asks Dazai what he did because the door just opened now. and Dazai told him that he has "stopped the time", which confused Sigma even more because that is not even Dazai's ability. Dazai then goes on and explains that this prison gathers a lot of ability users, and one of them is the world's most dangerous bandit. Her ability allows her to stop the time for everyone but herself, within a few kilometres around her. Ango has negotiated with her in exchange to reduce her sentence, and have her stop the time in the prison every morning, for an amount of time that Ango has decided beforehand.
Sigma thinks that what Dazai says doesn't make sense, because even if that prisoners stop the time, she cannot escape, and the people whose time were stopped wouldn't even realize it. Then he realizes that Dazai has the nullification ability, which means when the time stops for everyone in the prison, he is the only one that can freely move around. And that is when he comes and knocks down the guards who cannot move because their times are stopped. He states that it is easier than knocking down a sleeping monkey. That is also the answer to Sigma's question, the method Ango uses to communicate with Dazai. It's the amount of time stopped everyday that was used as a signal for Dazai to decode. By doing that, there is noone but Dazai that can receive it.
Dazai turns on the radio and talks to Fyodor inside the room. He asks if Fyodor is ready to die, and Fyodor replies that he cannot kill him. Dazai finds that it is interesting, because he knows Chuuya's ability is useless against this. So there is only Fyodor's ability left, which he assumed that cannot do anything about this situation either (that's why he chose this trap). Fyodor doesn't react to that, but he makes a very serious face.
Dazai stays quiet for a moment and tells Chuuya that it is also time for them to part. And it is such a pity things become like that. He says that it has been 7 years since they met and even though they are fighting all the time, there were moments when they were connected at heart, for examples... (We were shown a bunch of skk flashbacks in the past here). Dazai pauses there and in the next page, smiles nonchalantly and says actually there was no such moment and watches Chuuya disappearing under the water.
The chapter ends here and at this point I am so convinced that we are going to know Fyodor's ability in the next chapter and I cannot wait for it. Next chapter will come out on June 3, 2022.
Thanks for reading till the end.

BSD Chapter 100.5
“At the Airport Part 9”
Another short chapter this month but we finally get to know more about Kenji’s past!
Please note that I’m not a native speaker in either English nor Japanese so I may make some mistakes here and there. Just let me know if you spot any!
SPOILERS AHEAD
- Kenji suddenly gets stronger and throw the surprised Tecchou against a truck. He looks mad and keeps repeating “I have to save them” (TN: the object is not clearly stated in the original sentence. It could be him or her etc.) Even when Tecchou hits him on the face, the doesn’t even flinch.
- There is a flashback where Atsushi was talking to Kunikida about how all the scary guys seem to be very kind towards Kenji. Kunikida then told Atsushi that there is one unspoken rule in Yokohama “not to make Kenji angry”. Atsushi was surprised because Kenji is always very gentle. Kunikida then told him the story of a big flood that happened in a village in Northeast Japan. It was a biggest one in 50 years that they had to change the map of the area after that. However, the village itself was almost intact. Fukuzawa who went there to investigate, found out that the village were safe because right when the flood came, the mountain had somehow collapsed and changed the flow of the water. The foot of the mountain had completely disappeared as if it was chopped off by a giant. And the one who made it happen was a village boy, Kenji. He was the one who changed the shape of that mountain, with his bare hands. Later, Kenji said that he didn't remember anything at that time, after seeing his childhood friend buried alive under the flood. Kunikida says that Kenji's power is like the power of the angry, raging nature, and his gentle personality of him has been holding in in check. When the gentle Kenji is driven away by the anger and crisis, "that" will show up and erupt. And once he has erupted, noone will be able to stop him.
- Back to the present, Tecchou has been completely defeated by Kenji. He has a pillar falling on top of him and can't run away. He tells Kenji to kill him, because he realizes that he should have pursued justice after all, and that Jouno himself would never tell him to let go of the mission to come to his rescue. He says that this is the outcome he's got for misjudging his friend, misjudging justice and misjudging his opponent, and that he is no long qualified as a Hunting Dog.
- Kenji, instead, removes the debris on top of Tecchou and smiles at him, asking him to go look for Jouno together. Kenji says that when he thinks about it, he has no reason to get mad at Tecchou. He reaches his arm to Tecchou to help him get up, but ends up collapsing first. He smiles to Tecchou saying that he has overused his power and needs to rest a little bit. Tecchou is at his limit too, so they both collapse. Before losing consciousness, Tecchou says his name and asks for Kenji's. After knowing Kenji's name, Tecchou says that knowing that name is his big catch of the day.
The chapter ends here. It was so nice to see Tecchou and Kenji finally making up and I hope they can become good friends because both of them are very sincere and nice people.
Next chapter comes out on May 2, 2022.
Thank you for reading.

BSD Chapter 100
"At The Airport - Part 9"
Happy 100th chapter!! Can you imagine how long of a journey it has been? I started posting these writeups from Chapter 50 and now look how far we have come! Let's hope Bsd will get stronger and stronger in the future!
We have a beautiful color spread which has nothing to do with the content of the chapter this month (lol). But it doesn't make the chapter less eventful. Things did not go as I expected and it makes more excited for the next month already.
I said this a million times already but I am no where near fluent in Japanese and English. So please have mercy on me XD
SPOILERS AHEAD
- Atsushi agrees to take Teruko to Ranpo. He contacts Ranpo and tells Teruko that they are gonna meet Ranpo on runway 122R, together with Fukuzawa. Teruko wants Atsushi to carry her and calls Atsushi the exclusive vehicle of the Hunting Dogs. She seems happy that a dog can ride a cat, to which Atsushi corrects that he is a tiger (while being reminded of all the others who have given him same treatments before).
- On their way, Atsushi tells Teruko that she has to give order to her subordinates not to attack the ADA. Teruko tells him that she can ask Tecchou, but Jouno is missing so she can't say anything for sure. Atsushi realizes that there is a contradiction in her words. Because according to Ranpo's deductions, Jouno has been abducted by the vampire and the culprit definitely has put the blame on the ADA. That is why all the Hunting Dogs should be thinking that Jouno has been taken away by the ADA now. There should be no reason for Teruko to tell him that "Jouno is missing".
- Teruko gets off Atsushi's shoulder and tells him that Ranpo's deduction was probably wrong, but Atsushi denies that. So Teruko admits that lying is harder than she thought, because she has always been on the side to make people confess their lies. And she starts attacking Atsushi by surprise and takes him down.
- Meanwhile, Kenji is having a hard time dealing with Tecchou too. Tecchou tells Kenji that everyone has misunderstood Jouno, and that even though Jouno is a cold-hearted guy, he is actually a brave man who hates violence and protects the weak. He grabs Kenji's head and forces Kenji to tell him where Jouno is. He says that his main mission should be to follow the vampire, but only for five minutes, he will prioritize Jouno over justice.
- At that time, Teruko contacts Tecchou telling him she has successfully captures Atsushi, and that they will torture him to make him spit out ADA's plan and capture the rest. Kenji hears it over the radio. Tecchou tells Kenji that he can't save his friends. Upon hearing that, Kenji's presence starts to change as he says "I have to say them" and sends Tecchou flying with a kick.
The chapter ends here. Next chapter will come out April 4. Thanks for reading till the end ^^

BSD Chapter 89.5
I posted yesterday that the digital version will be delayed until January 8th (Japan time) but I just couldn’t wait so I went and grabbed the physical magazine today. I am writing a summary as usual but if you prefer to wait for the raw, feel free to scroll through this because this chapter has a lot of actions involved and I don’t think I know enough English to summarize it properly lol
Anyway, this chapter is all about Tachihara being awesome and kicking ass xD As always, please forgive my crappy English/Japanese.
