Lucy Dacus albums covers but actually they’re beetles
~🪲~
No Burden - Flamboyant Flower Beetle (Eudicella gralli)
Also know as the Striped Love Beetle which is just about the two greatest common names ever. I might be a little bias she’s my absolute favourite beetle but I just know she’s cried to map on a wall
Historian - Variable Ladybird (Coelophora inaequalis)
The common Australian lady beetle, this one’s a no brainer look at them they could be twins
Historian (again) - Rainbow stag beetle (Phalacrognathus muelleri)
Fun fact, very similar to Lucy Dacus fans, most stag beetles are nocturnal
Home Video - Purple Jewel Beetle (Chlorocala africana)
When Lucy Dacus made home video I bet she was sitting there like ‘this is so Chlorocalaafricanacore’
And finally,
Forever is a Feeling - Golden Tortoise beetle (Charidotella sexpunctata)
It was a close race with the Oregon tiger beetle but the tortoise beetle is just so regal and ornate I feel like she just gets the vibe better

Bloodborne is a wild game because the plot synopsis is “Terminally ill patient goes to Britain for socialized medicine, where they are instead given a meat cleaver and a gun and eventually work their way up from fighting angry locals to killing God.”
