The X100F is turning into my most used camera. It wasn’t that way at all for quite some time. I needed to figure out what a leaf shutter was and learn to accept that the film simulations are better than most of my Photoshop editing.  Now, I have an additional creative tool that can do things no other camera near it’s price can. For example, I can take photos at f2 in full sun with a blurred background. I can light up a subject in day and make the background look dark as night. Leaf shutters are awesome. 

My interest in Photoshop is waning. My interest in photography is increasing. Thanks Fuji.

Mount Vernon Ohio Kokosing Gap Trail Bridge by Mark Spearman Via Flickr: Bridge in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio no the Kokosing Gap Bicycle Trail. I remember reading that a mentally ill person jumping off of this bridge to commit suicide when I was a boy. It’s not that far down and the water isn’t that deep, but he did it in winter. I forget the rest of the details.  The old bridge is beautiful now. There’s no reason to think of that when I look at it, but I do.

An oil derrick in the distance during a sunrise.  I listened to a rider lament her choices and drug addiction. Then as the sun rose, she began to talk of going into rehab the day she found out she was pregnant.
