Yuki's been with us for 2 weeks now and continues to do well. He's gaining weight, is very alert and curious ─ and prohibitively adorable.

Our latest admit has been named "HF Justin Turbot". When we filmed him last night, he was still dehydrated and a bit wobbly on his flippers. He's receiving fluids to help him get hydrated, and antibiotics to support his weak immune system as his facial wounds heal.

Aaaaaand we've got our first patient this season, Focarelli! He's still covered in lanugo, the very fine and soft, almost white hair that harbour seals normally lose before they're born. It will be gone very soon... replaced by his actual fur coat, with all its beautiful markings.
We’re a charity-run veterinary hospital for sick and injured marine mammals. Every year, we rescue, rehabilitate and release more than 100 animals, like this adorable harbour seal pup in 2019.
