Nine Rectangles from Wheeler Winston Dixon on Vimeo.
“One night I had an idea while I was at the movies: to photograph the film itself. I tried to imagine photographing an entire feature film with my camera. I could already picture the projection screen making itself visible as a white rectangle. In my imagination, this would appear as a glowing, white rectangle; it would come forward from the projection surface and illuminate the entire theater.” – Hiroshi Sugimoto

Overload from Wheeler Winston Dixon on Vimeo.
"The endless proliferation of antisocial media sites, apps, games, messaging services and other digital distractions is pushing us further apart, rather than bringing us together. There is no humanity in the digital world – just 1s and 0s." - Wheeler Winston Dixon
"In the age of technology there is constant access to vast amounts of information. The basket overflows; people get overwhelmed; the eye of the storm is not so much what goes on in the world, it is the confusion of how to think, feel, digest, and react to what goes on." ― Criss Jami

Lyrics
Sometimes she is dancing
All on her own
In the dark
All alone
Moonlight girl
Moonlight girl....
Look, she is talking
In her sleep
She's always laughing
All by herself
She keeps on smiling
To herself
Moonlight girl
Moonlight girl....
Sometimes she's not dancing
On her own
In the light
But no one knows
Softly she is feeling
All by herself
Moonlight girl
Moonlight girl....

Black Nail Cabaret - Blonde from Marcus Tomazetti on Vimeo.
Black Nail Cabaret is a Budapest/London based synth noir duo. Formed in 2008, the group consists of Emese Arvai-Illes (vocals) and Sophie Tarr (keyboards).
The band has been playing shows since their debut in 2010 both as a featured act – at Schwarzes Leipzig Tanzt, RECession Festival, Planet Myer Day, etc – and as a support band – with Camouflage, Covenant, De/Vision etc – in Hungary, Germany, the United Kingdom and Denmark.
Inspired by the likes of Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Eurythmics and Soft Cell, BNC showcase their own niche of melancholic synth pop, which they simply named synth noir.

Lyrics:
If Marilyn Monroe were still alive now
she would have a TV show
beyond prime time
People would had left her somehow
They'd let her down gently
She'd be suffering badly
She, the ancient blonde
she's the queen of show
she's the queen of show
don't let her know
she's the queen of show
If Marilyn Monroe were still alive now
she would be scary as hell
she would be scared
Her body is a spine
her smile is metal
her stitches are sexy
Her golden curls
Are not so flexible
she's the queen of show
the queen of show
don't let her know
just let her flow
Blondes, you're glorious
You're crawling in me

BASF Keep it Real from f°am Studio on Vimeo.
Visual trend lab foam Studio embarked on an prolific exploration of trend visuals with BASF’s
Coating Division. Their Automotive Color Design team invited foam to conceptualize and
design their latest release of their global design tool kit, which is an authoritative trend book
on automotive paints for the next years.
foam’s task was to interpret the diverse findings of the group, and consolidate the complex social, technological and aesthetic trends and translate them into formal narratives.
The result is an unseen formal language, with autonomous shapes and unfamiliar materials
celebrated in a playful ménage of bold hyperrealism and poetic abstraction.
