hello! sort of a thought experiment - what do you think would have happened if Didyme (and marcus?) sired someone, maybe she changed a person she had been watching or asked him to change someone, what do you think would have happened to that vampire after she was killed? how would marcus deal with that? This would change just about everything dear Anonymous, for I do not think Marcus would not have entered as detrimental of a depression as he is currently in. With a child there would be a second tether that kept him happy.

Depending on who turned who, there could very well be a small part of Didyme left in the world for him to protect despite the grief gnawing at him initially.

Now, if this daughter or son saw Didyme as a true mother figure—they will probably be on the war path just as much as Marcus was after the murder of Didyme is revealed. A scorned mate and son is never a great combo to deal with, in canon it is blatantly clear that a vampire with severed bonds is nothing to scoff at.

It makes me wonder if Aro would ever make the mistake of killing his sister in the first place. I did not see Caius aiding him either, too much of a risk.

With a child in the mix there is a chance that Marcus would attempt to take out Aro after coming to terms with the truth, because there would be another Vampire to elevate to a royal role. If this child was turned by Didyme as well? Marcus would do just about anything to put a crown on their head.

I think The Volturi would look quite differently from what we know it as. We could very well have been left with Marcus, Athenodora, Caius and this hypothetical child as rulers.

I think it's been made abundantly clear that I'm a Marcus girly and lately i've been thinking about reintroducing him to physical touch after he's been alone so long...

He's not used to it, having been alone for so long, it takes him some getting used to. He won't initiate in the beginning but once he feels it's normal good luck getting his hand on you because he didn't realise just how much he needed physical touch.

It starts off gentle, with little kisses here and there with your hand brushing against his, and it sends this tingly feeling all up his arm.

Then it progresses to him laying with you when you ask, fingers dancing over each others skin. Marcus begins to crave it, and finds ways to initiate without being the one to actually initiate.
