the fact that you can press b to cancel a pokemons evolution is so funny to me. like imagine a butterfly about to emerge from a chrysalis and you just put your hand on it like ‘shhh. buddy. not yet’ and its like ‘aww ok’ n climbs back in and zips itself up like a sleeping bag

I'm not sure how people may take this but...
Y'all know the new Character.AI bot right? The one chatbot which you can make characters with? Well, I did something quite exciting with it;
Tumblr media
Introducing Coin Bot! I made this bot specifically to help those with low spoons still be able to create terms, to assist people in wording terms if they're unable to or in naming terms, etc. This isn't meant to be a replacement, more as an assisting tool for accessibility. I truly hope this does manage to help people with their coining, and open up the community with even more accessibility.
(Note: This bot is not perfect as it already states in its introduction.)

Adding on to the recent neogender/xenogender discourse, I feel that people don't talk enough about the fact that gender umbrellas can overlap a lot, and that acknowledging that xenogender and other neogender umbrellas are different doesn't mean that terms can't be used in a xenine way
You're oddcoric in a xenine way? Cool.
You're oddcoric in a kenine way? Cool.
You're oddcoric in a gender umbrella that the term isn't typically used for? Cool.
I think that people on both sides of the debate fail to realize that distinguishing different umbrellas from xenogender doesn't mean that we have to disown or shrink xenogender's place as an umbrella term, and that labels can be very subjective and not overly strict and categorized.
(feel free to correct me on this if I'm just being dumb, but don't take it as an invitation to start shit with me.)

A new definition for Neopronouns
So, recently I've gained a large interest in linguistics. One topic I've been especially interested in is conlangs.
Conlangs, short for constructed languages, are, well, languages that were purposefully constructed, instead of naturally evolving with society. The makers of conlangs, called conlangers, make new phonology, grammar, vocabulary, & everything else that comes w/ a language- yes, including pronouns- all on their own.
So that got me thinking.... Aren't neopronouns kind of like these conlangs, but only for the pronouns? W/ this info on mind, I've created a new definition for neos:
"Neopronouns are pronouns that were constructed into a language, instead of naturally evolving with one."
Obviously, this would mean it/its & one/ones aren't actually neopronouns, but honestly, I've never personally fully seen them as such anyways.
I also feel like arguments that are made against conlangs are also made against neos.. e.g. "Why are you learning a conlang? You should learn a "real" language like the rest of us." "Why do you use neopronouns? You should use "real" pronouns like the rest of us." "Why make a new language? The ones we have are good enough." "Why make new pronouns? The ones we have are good enough."
This also gives an alternative name to neopronouns: constructed pronouns. I like this name because it shortens to conprons & that's fun lol.
Anyways, that's it. Feel free to use this definition if you want!

"Demi Aspec"

Being demisexual and/or demiromantic is not the norm and it absolutely isn't just a word for having standards. It isn't a preference. It's an experience that is too often misunderstood.

i don't think the mogai / liom community's ever actually gonna accept people who have chronic indecisiveness or people pleasing tendencies ngl
if people are ever unsure about something, or seem confused / wrong on a topic, it's very common for everyone in a 50 mile radius to just go and assume the worst of them immediately
just as an example, i'm easily influenced by other people's opinions. if i'm in an environment where i'm the odd one out, it is natural for me to conform as a defense mechanism. this is really common for a lot of people, not just me, and it makes it very hard to know how you actually feel outside of others' influence
it would be best if people tried to be more compassionate and helpful for people who are confused or unsure of things, because chances are what they're looking for is reassurance and help, not shoving one-sided discourse down people's throats. behavior like this actively kills growth and letting people naturally change their opinions without being afraid

Once again a reminder to the community that aldernic is not a gender thing, and to please stop calling it one. It's not a gender, it's not a gender umbrella, it's not a xenogender- you get the point. I'm trying to be understanding here, but I've said this a hundred times and I'm starting to feel more and more frustrated by the never-ending misuse.

Information Regarding Mogaipedia.org
As most of the MOGAI/LIOM community is aware, the most infamous anti-MOGAI website, mogaipedia.org, now ceases to exist. After doing to some looking around, I have found that she is still active on other, unrelated accounts on different websites, but her only relevant account, @/mogai-watch-poems, has been inactive for two years. I am very happy that she found something better to do with her time than to harass and bully the members MOGAI community, as she was one of the absolute nastiest, most hateful people I had ever had the displeasure of encountering in relation to the online MOGAI community and it’s detractors.
While I’m happy that the most prolific cisgender transmed (read: transphobe with extra steps) has moved on with her life, with her has left an absolutely massive wiki and all it’s terms. Mogaipedia, as much as I thoroughly hate to admit, was an excellent resource for finding terms, especially some from the early days of the community, despite her demeaning poems, purposeful misrepresentation of concepts common to the MOGAI community, frequent attribution errors and improper/misleading definitions. I was afraid that many of these terms had been lost, but nonetheless, I decided to do some searching to see if some, if not all, of these terms had been preserved. After all, once something is placed on the internet, it can never be truly removed.
With that in mind, I decided to see if I could use the Wayback Machine to view captured URLs. To my surprise, 6,564 URLs have been captured for the entirety of the website, mostly due to run-of-the-mill, automatic web crawling. If you look for just wiki pages, there are 4,027 URLs available. I appears that much of the website has been preserved in this manner. I’m unsure how many terms were archived on the original site, but once I figure it out, I will post that information in an update on this post.
TL;DR: Mogaipedia is gone, but the terms are not.

Basic Kenochoric Terminology
Last update: May 26th 2022
Kenochoric: An umbrella term for genders centered around things like liminal spaces, loneliness/emptiness, nostalgia, the uncanny, distortion, obscurity, disconnect, nonhumanity, and many other related concepts. It can be a gender of its own, but it also describes any gender with characteristics that fit its “vibe.” Kenochoric does not have strict rules for what falls under it, moreso going off of vague notions for what “feels” kenochoric. Not considered a xenogender, aesthetigender, or otherwise; it is best described as being its own separate gendered feeling.
Kenore or Chori: A kenochoric person. Similar in vein to Omen, but one may prefer one and not the other. Plural: Kenores, choris, chories
Kenochorim: The plural form of the word “kenochoric,” typically for describing kenochoric people in a formal way, compared to the more casual “kenores” and “choris.” Think of this word as more like “ladies” whereas the former two are closer to words like “boys” and “girls.”
Kenochord: Also called a kenogender or kenoir, this is a term for a kenochoric gender. Plural: Kenochords, kenogenders, kenoirs
Kenic: Kenochoric alignment. Similar to xenic and masc/fem aligned, specifically for kenic alignment.
Kenoine or kenous: Kenochoric quality. (In the same vein as feminine, masculine, and xenine.) A set of presentations, aesthetics, etc. that are often associated with being kenochoric. Can be used to describe gender, presentation, or both.
Kenosity: Equivalent to kenoine/kenous; describing being kenoine or kenous in the same way words like “masculinity”, “femininity”, and “neutrality” do, respectively.
KEIN: An “in-nature” term, for “kenochoric in nature.”
Omen: The kenochoric equivalent to “man” or “woman”. Plural: Omens, omenim (formal.)
Omenhood or Omenity: The kenochoric equivalent to “manhood” or “womanhood.”
Voidrian: A kenochoric alignment in the galactian alignment system.

if non-hispanics reblogged it would help a ton!
so, i've been noticing lately that english speakers that don't support neopronouns have been saying stuff like "neopronouns are for americans, no one else uses neopronouns in other languages! they're confusing to non-natives!" and it honestly upsets me SO MUCH, because that's simply not true! neopronouns exist all around the world, and i'm here to speak for hispanic neopronoun users as an argentine myself.
spanish has neopronouns, hispanics use neopronouns! it's not debatable!
spanish does not have an equivalent to they/them, "someone dropped their wallet, if i find them i'll give it back to them" would be "a alguien se le cayó su billetera, si lo encuentro se la devolveré" (someone dropped his wallet, if i find him i'll give it back to him).
so, since there's many non-binary people that felt like they needed a gender-neutral pronoun for themselves, elle/le was invented as opposed to Ă©l/lo.
as you may know, a neopronoun is a pronoun that is not official to a language, and since elle/le is not official to spanish, it's a neopronoun to us.
and no, this isn't our only neopronoun.
we have others such as elli/li, ellu/lu, il/li, etc. that do not have a translation to english, kinda like how xe/xem, ze/zir, ae/aer, etc. do not have a translation to spanish.
and yes, these are actually used, and not only online: i've had many friends in my country that used these pronouns among nounself pronouns (a friend that used Ă©l/ella/elli/quack, another one that used elle/ella, etc.)
so, i've made an il/li/-i pronoun flag!
il/li are pronouns derived from italian, and they're one of the most common neopronouns around here!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: On the left, there's flag with 5 stripes all of the same size, the colors of these stripes from top to bottom are: green, lime, white, light purple, and desatured brown. The image on the right is the same flag with the color-meanings of each stripe, and from top to bottom, these are the meanings: Green - italian origins of the pronouns, Lime - disabled and neurodivergent users, White - neopronouns around the world, Light purple - trans hispanics, and Desaturated brown - people of color hispanics. End ID]
this is the flag with its meanings, any hispanic / spanish-speaker that IDs with these pronouns is free to use it!
