INTO THE WILDERNESS BEGINS POST PRODUCTION
We have officially moved into post-production of Into the Wilderness and while we’re certainly excited about the end results, we know that many of our fans and friends wonder what, exactly, happens during this phase of making a feature film.
As you know, during pre-production we work to plan the steps we need to take to find talented actors, crew members and even coordination with press and spreading the word about our project. During production, we film!
Post production however, is a stage that can take time to coordinate as we have many things to handle during this stage of the Into the Wilderness movie. Some of those include editing film, adding in visual effects and mixing sound and even editing background noises from our recordings.
Let’s look at some of the steps the Into the Wilderness editing team must take during this phase of production. Trust us, each step takes a considerable amount of time and must be done precisely and perfectly!
Editing the Pictures
Every single shot filmed must be entered into a project filing system (in order!) to make sure everything is ready to go. The editor will take all the scenes shot and piece them together to go along with the script. Yes, the editor will have the script to go by, so they know where everything must be, and to ensure it’s all in the correct order.
This is a painstakingly long ordeal where we realize so many shots that we could have made yet failed to do so, or where we can see some amazing shots that we didn’t even realize we had at all.
Editing the film itself to make sure all the shots are right can take hours, or even days even for short films. For a feature film like Into the Wilderness, the picture edits can take weeks to complete so we have them exactly how we want them.
As soon as all the picture edits are complete, the files will be locked up so no one will be able to mess with them (and goof things up) and we’ll be able to proceed to the next steps.
Sound and Music
Sound and music in a movie can make or break the whole project. It’s imperative to make sure that spoken words are clear and that background noise is what it should be. For instance, if we happened to film a scene in a wilderness area, but there were cars nearby on an access road or someone was talking off set, those unnecessary noises will need to be edited out in a way that does not affect the scene in a negative way.
We also must work on music to make sure everything sounds just right, and that the music we use in the film goes along with each scene it is used for. We were fortunate to work with several incredible musicians on this movie and we can’t wait to share their talent with everyone when the movie is released.
Once the vocals are edited and the background noises have all been checked, a sound mixer will go over everything and they will make sure that every detail of sound in film coordinate well with others. For instance, if Shuler Hensley is trying to say something quietly by a roaring waterfall, the sound editors will make sure viewers will hear his voice instead of hearing the waterfall and just seeing lips move on screen. Mistakes like that can ruin a movie, unless you just happen to be a terrific lip reader!
Just as with the picture edits, the sound edits and mixing can take several days or even a couple weeks to make sure everything is right. We want this movie to be perfect, so we’re taking time to make sure everything is handled just right.
Once we get the sound edits finished, we can move onto the cool stuff like visual and special effects.
Visual Effects
When it comes to film completion, you’re going to have a blend of visual effects (VFX) that will be very noticeable as well as many you’ll never even think about when watching a movie.
Notice that we said visual effects and not special effects? Special effects (SFX) can be edited in after production, but in most cases, special effects include things like prosthetics, robots and puppets that are used on set during filming. Visual effects are edited in during post-production to add detail, make corrections and enhance scenes. This helps with movies where scenes are shot in front of a green screen and must be edited to add the background and other scenery.
For instance, let’s say a great scene was shot and everyone felt incredible about the energy the actors brought to the table and the location was perfect in every way. The clip gets to editing and suddenly, in one corner of the shot you can see a fire extinguisher sitting on a small table or a cord leading to a camera dragging the ground. How can someone miss something like a fire extinguisher? Things like that happen in this industry all the time and thanks to the brilliance of the visual editors, those mistakes can be covered up. Those are the visual effects that viewers never notice because what you see is exactly what you should see. A perfectly filmed scene.
You also have visual effects that must be edited in to create magical scenes or scenes that will truly amaze the audience. If you have ever watched movies like Star Wars, you have already seen the magic of visual edits, and you have a good idea of how this works. Comets plummeting to the center of the earth in space movies are often edited in after production to enhance the film and get that shock and awe response that the Director wants. As you can see, the visual effects can make a very big difference to the movie.
Now that you know a little more about what we’re facing now that production is over, and we’ve moved into post-production, you can see that this is a stage that takes considerable time and a great deal of skilled work to complete. It’s exciting to us and we can’t wait to show everyone the finished movie once we get finished with the edits!
Until then, be sure to continue visiting our blog for all things wilderness so we can keep you up to date on where we are and what’s happening with the movie!

CAPTURING THE MAGICAL CHARM OF SHEILA WOFFORD
For more than 20 years, actress Shelia Wofford has worked to mesmerize audiences nationwide with her talent, and when we were in search of the perfect actress to capture the true soulfulness of our Medicine Woman working a little voodoo magic, Wofford was the only person who fit the part.
With her eloquent movements and her desire to bring the character to life just as Director Rick DeWitt envisioned, she was able to bring such sustenance to the film and we simply cannot wait until our fans she her in action.
Our internal PR gal Angela Caito had the privilege to sit down with Shelia Wofford a few weeks ago during a chilly evening shoot at Fort Sanders in Knoxville, Tennessee where Wofford took time to open up to Angela about her character and her life beyond the wilderness.
Wofford has been married for 25 years and together, she and her husband Sam have a 23-year old son, Trey. Shelia said that her family has been her biggest fan club over the years and through their love and support, this star has been able to shine bright. Even as a child, she would do little acts around her house from scenes that she watched on shows like Good Times, and she said,
“My mother knew even back then that I was going to be an actress.”
She said that her mother always said she had a big imagination, she was creative with dance and she had the charisma to be able to reach the very soul of people who saw her perform.
When asked what she enjoyed the most about acting, Wofford responded with,
“I love that I feel like God enters me and just gives me this voice to be able to speak the words and tell the full truth of the character I’m portraying so that I can connect with the audience.”
As the Medicine Woman in Into the Wilderness, Wofford needed to be able to lose herself a little to be able to come across as this entrancing, magical woman. She said that she loves to be pushed to new heights and that with the accent as well as the portrayal of a women who was seemingly immersed in voodoo, she was pushed hard to bring the character to life.
We can honestly say that Wofford’s portrayal of the Medicine Woman is one that fans will not soon forget once they see the finished movie.
Wofford has a long history of performing in television shows as well as film and you may have seen her in shows like Fatal Attraction, Snapped, Drop Dead Diva or Meet the Browns. Her latest show, Messiah, will debut on Netflix in 2019 and stars actors including Mehdi Dehbi (London Has Fallen, A Most Wanted Man) and Michelle Monaghan (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Source Code).
Wofford also owns her own production company, Live to Inspire Productions, and has a film (The Good Son) set to begin shooting in February 2019. Wofford has several films that she produced that are available on DVD including Michael Valentine which won “Best of the Festival Short Film Award” at the Inspired Faith Film Festival and her film Treasure, which won the Best Independence Short Films of 2017 Spotlight Bronze Award from Spotlight Film Awards.
Wofford says that she spends her time constantly writing, performing or training and with her incredible talent as an actor, writer and film Director, this is a star that everyone should get to know.

SAMMY AND HANNAH AND THE LONG ROAD HOME
As you all know, we’ve had an amazing time during our stay in Tennessee and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon. Just because we’re gone right now, don’t think we have forgotten anyone because there is no chance of that ever happening!
It’s an exciting time for all of us, including Sammy the bear and Hannah the monkey!
These two were treated like celebrities during a stay at the Sleep Inn in Abilene, Texas while taking a break from the road on the way back to the west coast. It was a very exhausting drive!
Sammy told Hannah,
“Wow! Those pillows were so soft and fluffy! I had the best night’s sleep last night!”
A good night of sleep was much needed, so it’s a good thing that we found the Sleep Inn!
On top of being excited about being able to peek into the editing phase as well as take time to chat with many of the cast and crew while we wait, our silly little furry friends were sure to make time to compete on being the one to sit in the driver’s seat on the way home.
We overheard Hannah asking Sammy,
“Who’s gonna drive home today?”
Of course, Sammy was quick to respond by taking a running dive straight into the driver’s seat! Hannah wasn’t exactly happy about that, but she hopped up on the dashboard and just kept telling us how glad she was to finally be close to home again.
After many long, tiring hours on the road, we finally saw the city lights and knew we were nearing home. Sammy and Hannah were exhausted from the trip back from Tennessee, but nothing can compare to the warm, snuggly feeling of being home with those we love.
“Well Hannah, we finally made it home!”
Sammy told Hannah.
Hannah replied with,
“It’s so good to be home again with family, but what about the film, and our Knoxville family?”
We of course adore our Knoxville family and as the saying goes, home is where the heart is! Well, part of our hearts are most certainly in Tennessee and we look forward to seeing everyone again very soon, but now it’s time for us to start on a whole new adventure.
EDITING!
Now that we’re in the editing phase of production and have a little time before we can share the finished movie with everyone, we hope that all our friends will continue to visit our blog to learn about all things wilderness. We have so much to share with you!

ACTRESS NIKKI COZART TAKES ROLE IN WILDERNESS MOVIE
When it was time to begin casting actors for roles in the Into the Wilderness movie, Director Richard DeWitt along with Producers Michael Candela and Ev Stanton had many tough decisions to make when it was time to choose the right actors to portray the characters on film. One of the many roles they desperately needed to ensure was filled by the right actress was the role of Walks With Wind who is a Cherokee medicine woman, and when actress Nikki Cozart walked through the audition doors, they knew they had hit a goldmine. Not only did she knock the lines out of the ballpark, but she had the exact look the team wanted for this character.
Many of you may recognize Nikki Cozart from past guest star roles on popular hit shows like Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, House of Cards or America’s Most Wanted. She has also been in numerous commercials and Indie films.
Cozart plays the lead role of Abby Kelner in the new television series, Thespian which was released this month on Amazon Video and she has several upcoming television shows and films coming out in the next year.
Watch the trailer for Thespian on Vimeo here:
vimeo
Nikki sat down with Angela Caito a few days ago to talk about the Into the Wilderness movie, working with her real-life dad, actor Cylk Cozart and to give a little insight on her life. Cylk Cozart has starred in more than 30 television shows and movies including Conspiracy Theory, White Men Can’t Jump and The Last Movie Star.
Nikki Cozart and her dad, actor Cylk Cozart met in person just last year, and while Nikki had already been acting for a decade prior to meeting her dad, little did she know that acting was essentially embedded in her very DNA.
“I started acting when I was 20. Acting was in my genes, but I didn’t know why until I met my dad!”
Cozart heard about the Into the Wilderness movie when the Knoxville News Sentinel published an article letting local Tennessee actors know about an open casting call. She said that an hour or so after the casting call hit the newspapers, Cylk Cozart called her to tell her she needed to go audition.
When asked why her role was important to her as well as what made her character different than her, Cozart responded with,
“First of all, I think it’s really cool that I get to play a character from my own heritage. For the longest time, I didn’t know everything about who I was and where I came from since I had not met my dad.”
She went on to say,
“Walks with Wind is very poised and in control and when I was younger, I was not like that at all, but after having kids, I gained that! It was suddenly like, God give me patience and he gave me that control I needed!”
Cozart also mentioned that she loves to be outdoors and being able to film outside in the woods was fun. Her biggest challenge with the role was having to wear a thin, summer time outfit when it was 40 degrees outside. If you have never been in the Great Smoky Mountains during the fall, you may find it interesting that 40 degrees can feel like twenty below zero with wind chill, especially if you don’t have a heavy jacket to wear.
Cozart is married to Matt Estridge, owner of Fit Diesel, a Knoxville based company that teaches active shooter countermeasure training as well as other law enforcement and military training programs and health and fitness for all levels. She credits Matt with giving her his full support and being the best husband and father as he not only works with his business, but he also takes care of the kids when she is away to film.
She said,
“Matt is the best father! I know I am biased, but he stepped up as he was this big tough man’s man who worked for the government training snipers and working with guns and being tough and suddenly, he’s a stay at home father, changing diapers and raising three boys while also running as business! I am so thankful to have his support in my career!”
While Cozart is a very devoted wife and mother, she is also an incredibly talented actress and the wilderness movie team has been fortunate to have her join the cast.
There is no doubt that Nikki Cozart played a crucial role in the Into the Wilderness movie and fans will be happy to know they can look forward to seeing her on the big screen as well as on television in several upcoming projects she has on the horizon.
Be sure to keep up with actress Nikki Cozart and her work on IMDb and as always, stay on top of all things wilderness right here on our blog!

SAMMY AND HANNAH HEADING HOME AND CELEBRATING A SPECIAL DAY!
Sammy and Hannah have had such an incredible time in Tennessee, and especially with Associate Producer Vicky Edgemon catering to their every whim (especially when Hannah demanded hot coffee!). They also loved the hotel pool, catching up on their favorite television shows and most importantly, spending time with the amazing cast and crew when they got to go on location during filming of Into the Wilderness.
These two furry pals, along with Producers Michael Candela and Ev Stanton and Executive Producer and Director Rick DeWitt are certainly going to feel plenty of heartache due to missing all of you great Tennessee friends who have made sure that we felt right at home during production, but it’s also going to be wonderful to be home with our own family and friends on the west coast!
As a matter of fact, Sammy and Hannah are very excited today because they will soon get to see the Hannah’s human handler and catch up on everything they have missed while in the southern United States. While Michael has been away, he’s been able to spend plenty of time with Sammy the bear and Hannah the monkey, but he sure is happy to be able to go home and see his family in person! As a matter of fact, as we just learned today, Candela has a very special birthday to celebrate once he arrives home.
A Very Special Birthday Celebration!
We want to take a moment to wish Hannah, Producer Michael Candela’s daughter, a very Happy 18th Birthday!
We hope your special day has been filled with an abundance of love as well as happiness and smiles, and of course, plenty of fun! The future is yours and we cannot wait to see you as you carefully forge your own trail into the wilderness and watch as you leave your mark on this thing we call life.
Happy Happy Birthday Hannah from Sammy the bear, Hannah the monkey and the rest of the wilderness movie cast and crew!

KNOXVILLE ACTOR CYLK COZART TALKS WILDERNESS AND MORE
While visiting the set during a recent shoot for Into the Wilderness, actor Cylk Cozart took a little time to sit down with Angela Caito to share his thoughts on the movie and much more, including what it was like to work with his daughter, actress Nikki Cozart for the first time.
In the movie, Cozart has been cast in the role of Mr. Magian, and while we don’t want to give anything away, we can say that Mr. Magian is a mysterious fellow and one who has a shining presence throughout the movie. Cylk Cozart, with his own special Hollywood glow, was perfect for the role.
For those who are not already aware, Cozart has worked in many television shows and 30 popular films including Conspiracy Theory starring Mel Gibson, White Men Can’t Jump with Woody Harrelson and The Last Movie Star which was acting legend Burt Reynolds last film.
Before he began his long career in acting, Cylk was involved in sports and played basketball and football throughout high school. Thanks to his sports endeavors, he was awarded scholarships and attended college at King College in Bristol, Tennessee and even had a brief stint playing basketball in the NBA Summer Pro League until a foot injury ended his sports career. At that point, Cozart worked his way into the modeling and acting industry and has seen great success throughout his career.
Cylk said there were a few reasons he wanted to do the Into the Wilderness movie once he heard about it.
“I’ve been trying to help bring movies to Knoxville and surrounding areas of East Tennessee for years and I mean, way before they even started making movies in Georgia, I was trying to get movies brought here and when I heard about this movie, it was A. There is a movie to be made here and B., the storyline was really, really fun and different.”
He went on to say,
“The storyline had something like a Wizard of Oz kind of feel but set in the wilderness of 1864 and I’m a history buff and when I had a chance to read the script, I saw that it was a really smart, really good script.”
Another reason Cozart decided to participate in the movie was that his daughter, Nikki Cozart, known for her role as Detective Delano on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, was cast in the role of Walks on Wind in the movie. As many fans already know, Cylk and his daughter Nikki met in person for the very first-time last year after more than 30 years not knowing they were related.
“I was able to be on set her first day of filming and that was really cool because you know, I wasn’t there on her first day of other things in her life, so I figured I can start now!”
What better way to start with firsts than working on a new movie together?
Cozart discussed some of the other actors in the film including new to the screen, 11-year-old actor Christopher-Lawson Palmer who has been cast in the lead role of Jeremiah.
“I think the kid is going to surprise some people! Christopher is such a raw talent and kind of floats in and out like an angel throughout the film and he comes off precious in the movie. In person, he is very, very talented and can sing and dance and honestly, he’s like a young Michael Jackson in that he has talent and can do a lot of things and this film is a great way to introduce him because nobody knows who he is yet.”
He also talked about Shuler Hensley, who plays the lead role of Samuel Barnett, our war hardened confederate soldier. \
“Shuler is a strong actor from Broadway and he is just powerful and very methodical. I love working with people who actually think, and Shuler is a thinker.”
“We’re having a really great time making this movie. I love working with Director Rick DeWitt, Producers Michael Candela and Ev Stanton, assistant Director Jeff Hartman, Associate Producer Vicky Edgemon and the rest of the film crew.”
Cozart said that many actors have the drive to perform, but they lack the talent and others have the talent, yet lack the motivation needed. He said that when those two things, talent and motivation, come together, you have magic and that is exactly what you’re going to see in Into the Wilderness.
Be sure to continue reading our blog to stay on top of all things wilderness!

The Amazing Into the Wilderness Crew
From carpentry to cameras and everything in between, our crew has battled the wilderness each and every day to ensure this film is 100% amazing, and for that, we are beyond thankful.
Whether it was days on end spent wading through water, trying to avoid mosquito bites, fighting allergies and sickness or rainy days that edged into a bitter cold spell, this team has shown time and time again how hard they have been willing to work to create a masterpiece!
Trust us when we say that our crew has worked though extreme hot temperatures, rainy days and even bitter cold evenings and nights and for all they do, we thank each and every person for their dedication to the wilderness movie.
As we slowly creep toward the end of production and begin to move towards the editing phase, we want to say how appreciative we are for all of the incredible people we have been working with and all who will continue working with us as we continue this wilderness journey. These are not just crew members at all. This is like a second family and while away, we’ll miss those we no longer see day after day.
We wanted to share a little video compilation of a few of our talented, and very dedicated crew! It’s short but will give you a little glimpse into the hard work everyone has undertaken over the last few months of production.
Again, thank you so much to our amazing crew. We would go “into the wilderness” with you guys anytime!
Be sure to stay on top of all things wilderness right here on our blog!

THE RETURN OF SAMMY THE BEAR
The last we heard from Sammy the Bear, he was trying to roam through the woods at beautiful Cades Cove when he and Producer Michael Candela went to scout some locations for us to film. That was way back in September and since then, he has made himself scarce, or we’ve just been so busy running ourselves ragged that we haven’t taken time to catch up with Sammy.
Sammy has been spending a great deal of time lounging around the hotel like he’s some sort of celebrity on a Greek Island vacation or something. As a matter of fact, just a couple evenings ago we caught him sneaking around the hotel dining room where he attacked our friend and Tony award winning actor Shuler Hensley and wouldn’t let him leave until he agreed to grab him a hot cocoa and some bananas to take back to the room. He told us that night that he had been laying around catching up on the daytime soap operas.
Apparently, his little friend Hannah the Monkey has been spending quite a bit of time with Sammy while we’re away from the hotel during the day. According to one of the fabulous hotel staff members,
“Sammy and Hannah have been very loud during the day as they keep the television set turned up so loud while watching soap operas that other guests cannot rest!”
It looks like we’re going to have to start waking Sammy up early so he can go work with us on location as we finish filming Into the Wilderness over the next couple weeks.
He complained tonight when we got in that Hannah the Monkey stole the remote from him and was trying very hard to make him learn how to do a dance they watched on her favorite show, Dancing With the Stars Monday evening.
We’re nearing the last week or so of filming Into the Wilderness and although we still have some very important scenes to wrap up and we want to see our families and friends back home, we are certainly not looking forward to heading out of this great state where we’re going to miss the many incredible people we’ve met and worked with during our time here.
Have no fear however! We’re still going to continue updating everyone as production progresses and who knows? We might even catch a glimpse or two of Sammy the Bear working hard hauling camera equipment around or trying to show a crew member how to do something the way that only a bear can do!
Until then, be sure to continue checking our blog as well as our Instagram and Twitter pages where you can find all things wilderness and stay on top of everything happening with the Into the Wilderness movie!

ILLNESS, RAIN AND RUGGED TERRAIN MAKE FOR INTERESTING FILM DAYS
Since the start of production in the beautiful state of Tennessee, the Into the Wilderness cast and crew has had many amazing days shooting in various locations. Many locations for this film are deep in the woods or in other rugged areas where we can’t take cars and must haul heavy equipment either in hands or in packs carried on our backs or thankfully, with motorized and manually guided carts loaded to the max. We all agree that Tennessee is an incredible state to film in and we’re enjoying every moment that we get to spend here.
Throughout the month of September and into the first couple weeks of October, we saw torrential rain and to be honest, for many of our outdoor shots, the rain was a great backdrop for natural assistance with making our scenes look as realistic as they possibly could and it truly helped with the rugged feel that we wanted to capture on film with our actors.
That same wonderful rain that made some shots look beyond perfect, has unfortunately made it impossible for other scenes to be shot when scheduled. We had to postpone many days of film production because some of the amazing locations were flooded and we had to wait out the downpours and allow time for the valleys and other drenched areas to dry out naturally.
We’re working in many mountainous areas with rugged terrain and our shoot locations are difficult to get to even when dry. The rain made those locations impossible to get to easily and far too dangerous for cast and crew to attempt.
Trust us when we tell you, it is certainly no fun at all to arrive on location with a caravan of cars, trucks and even an RV or two fully loaded with cast, crew and hundreds of pounds of camera, mics and other equipment only to find out the location is flooded, and we can’t shoot that day.
Amazingly, and very thankfully, we have a team that has become extremely close during production and even through the difficulties, we’ve been able to laugh through the tears and work together to move forward with production although we’ve had to re-arrange several scenes while waiting on better weather.
A few weeks into production, several members of our crew came down with something with strep throat like symptoms, or at least a terribly bad stomach bug or possibly even a horrific cold from working in the rain day after day. Through it all though, our team has persevered and has worked extremely hard to maintain good timing and keep everything running smooth even when we have had to rearrange several scenes to shoot in a different order than planned.
With just a few short weeks left to film, we’ve hopefully moved past the rain that we were experiencing, our crew members seem to be over the colds or other illnesses and we’ve moved directly into a mixture of bitter cold early morning shoots, hot afternoons and cool evenings.
Tennessee has a climate like no other and while we’ve had a few days that have been a little delayed, one thing is certain and that is the fact that we are loving every minute of it and best of all, the bonds we’ve made with the amazing actors, their immediate families, our crew members and others we’ve worked with and met since arriving are bonds that we’re thankful to have and we hope to never lose.

SITTING DOWN WITH CHRISTOPHER-LAWSON PALMER
A few weeks ago, the wilderness movie team introduced you to one of the lead actors, Christopher-Lawson Palmer, the amazing young man who plays Jeremiah in Into the Wilderness. When working long hours on set practically every day, it’s difficult to be able to sit down and hold a conversation that isn’t focused on the scene the actors are filming at the moment or trying to figure out the best angle for cameras and other equipment to film everything just right.
Thankfully, a little time was made between scenes during a recent shoot and I was able to spend a few moments talking to Christopher-Lawson Palmer to find out a little more about him and how he feels about the movie. He has been working side by side with actor Shuler Hensley, so of course everyone wants to know what Palmer thinks about working with him. He told me that he loves working with Shuler and that even with working long days, he is having so much fun acting in the movie.
While talking to Christopher-Lawson Palmer, there is a thick smell of smoke in the air and you can definitely see a haze lingering throughout the wooded area from the gunpowder used to fire the Civil War era guns used in the battle scene currently filming and for the last few days those working on the film have heard consistent gun fire as well as cannon fire throughout the day each day. Palmer says the noise from the guns is fun to hear. It’s exciting!
You might notice that Christopher-Lawson Palmer has his signature straw hat on in many of the photos that have been posted of him during filming. He wears this hat all day, every day during filming and cast and crew have seen him many times off set walking around with it on. When asked what he thought about the hat, Palmer responded with,
“In the beginning, the hat was awesome! It got wet when we were filming in the rain though and now, it’s probably the worst part of my wardrobe because it’s not comfortable at all anymore.”
He is definitely a trooper for being able to wear wardrobe that is wet, scratchy and not at all comfortable and he does so without letting on to anyone at all how uncomfortable his clothing on set can be from one day to the next. However, even with the discomfort of the wet straw hat, he did mention to us that he has had a blast being able to film with animals on set. There have been horses as well as donkeys and Palmer said he had a lot of fun being able to be around them, especially the donkeys.
Christopher-Lawson Palmer will have a chance to not only work with talented actors who have starred in a wide array of popular movies over the years, but in this film, he also has a chance to work with his older sister, actress Saiya Palmer. Saiya has been cast to play a principle role in the film and Christopher-Lawson Palmer had this to say about working with his big sister, “Saiya is a really good actor and she usually likes to work alone. We’re both happy about working together on Into the Wilderness though.” It will be great to see the brother and sister acting duo work together as they are both very talented.
Palmer is not just a talented actor, but he is also an amazing opera singer who was invited to travel to England in 2019 to sing with the opera and he has also performed in several plays at the Knoxville Children’s Theatre, the Tennessee Theatre and several other playhouses in the state.
It was nice to sit down and chat with Christopher-Lawson Palmer and I personally predict that this young man is going to go far in life whether it is with acting, singing or even if he chooses to become a doctor or chase another dream along the way. There is no doubt that he is going work hard to make every dream he has come true.
