Gilbert had finally made up his mind that he was going to be a doctor.
“It’s a splendid profession,” he said enthusiastically. “A fellow has to fight something all through life . . . didn’t somebody once define man as a fighting animal? . . . and I want to fight disease and pain and ignorance . . . which are all members one of another. I want to do my share of honest, real work in the world, Anne . . . add a little to the sum of human knowledge that all the good men have been accumulating since it began. The folks who lived before me have done so much for me that I want to show my gratitude by doing something for the folks who will live after me. It seems to me that is the only way a fellow can get square with his obligations to the race.”
-Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

Today I studied possessive pronouns in Russian, I still need to go deeper into this, but I already have a basic understanding. And I studied the physics topics from yesterday's class, such as inertial reference and friction forces.

I’ve been treating my journal like a podcast where I just keep rambling while doing things that give me anxiety. Getting the anxieties out right away and feels like I have some emotional support there even tho it’s just me & my journal. Sure it takes a bit longer bc u’re basically doing 2 things, but at least something’s getting done u know?

The wonderful thing about being an adult is not having to ask for anybody’s permission to buy pretty books in medieval castle gift shops 🫶 This one is all about medical plants, truly the best souvenir I got from Brittany 🪴🌱

every time you assume that others are thinking negatively of you or judging you behind your back, you are bullying yourself through them. at the end of the day, you don't know what thoughts are running through their heads unless they verbally express them to you. until then, every one of 'their' opinions about you is nothing more than your fear, and whatever assumption is born from your fear is yours to let go - not theirs to disprove.

1/100 Days of Productivity
Had a really good chat about self advocacy and boundary setting today - my productivity at the moment is about setting up my life to support me instead of drain me, even if that means hammering on people’s inboxes until they listen.
