hi im hopping on this trend

gem calling pearl her "poor red pearl" was so... GOD she's so possessive, and it's a huge part of her character!! she has no clue what she wants, or more accurately, she knows what she wants, she just can't have it all at once. she indiscriminately can't let go of anything, be it her love or her grudges. it all holds a place in the shadowed, cluttered halls of her heart; she just picks and chooses what she wants to drag to the light.

she never even let go of the feeling of the boogeyman curse, searing just under her skin. which reminds me, her referring to a yellow pearl as "red" (obviously because she can't let go of secret life) was so interesting because if anyone was closer to red, it was gem. she lured multiple people to the deadly traps on green for the fun of it, and continually promised her allies she would help them get kills. but when she "helps" them, she's setting up the trap for them, doing all the luring, all the work... it's her!!! god i'm in love with her she's so perfect she's the worst
