Yes, I do believe that Colorguard is art. We are telling a story to our bodies. Trying to tell the story of a young girl turning 18 and growing into that maturity. Colorguard is a performance based art using a mixture of dancing, flag, rifle, and saber. The performance was done to Stevie Nicks “edge of 17″.

Jackson Pollock's shift from using abstract imagery to removing all imagery in his famous "drip" paintings can be attributed to various factors. One of the primary influences was his exposure to the Surrealist movement, which emphasized the subconscious and spontaneous creation of art. Additionally, his study with Thomas Hart Benton, a Regionalist painter known for his use of figurative and representational imagery, allowed Pollock to develop a strong understanding of composition and technique.
However, Pollock's dissatisfaction with traditional methods of painting led him to experiment with new techniques, such as dripping and pouring paint directly onto the canvas. This technique allowed him to create complex layers of texture and color without being bound by representational forms. Pollock's "drip" paintings are characterized by their emphasis on the physical act of painting and the unconscious movement of the artist's hand.
Overall, Pollock's transition from using abstract imagery to removing all imagery can be seen as a natural evolution of his artistic style. His experimentation with new techniques and his exposure to different artistic movements allowed him to create a unique style that emphasized the act of painting and the spontaneous creation of art.

DESCRIBE PHYSICAL QUALITIES: The artwork "Landscape with a Lake, Mountains and Five Soldiers, in the Foreground" by Salvator Rosa is an oil painting on canvas. The dimensions of the painting are approximately 89 x 123 cm (35 x 48 inches). The painting features a natural landscape with a lake, mountains, and a group of soldiers in the foreground. The painting is predominantly painted in earthy tones, with shades of green, brown, blue, and gray. The mountains and trees are depicted with sharp, jagged lines, while the lake and sky are painted with softer, more fluid brushstrokes. The soldiers are shown in various poses, with intricate details on their clothing and weapons.
THIS PART IS ALL ABOUT YOU: The artwork makes me feel a sense of awe and appreciation for the beauty of nature. The serene lake and majestic mountains evoke a sense of peace and tranquility, while the presence of the soldiers adds a sense of adventure and exploration. The painting also inspires me to contemplate the relationship between humans and the natural world.
NOW RESEARCH: Salvator Rosa was an Italian Baroque painter and poet who lived from 1615 to 1673. He was known for his landscapes and historical paintings, as well as his involvement in the intellectual and artistic circles of his time.
THINKING: The artwork is associated with the Baroque movement, which was characterized by dramatic effects, intense emotions, and a sense of grandeur. The painting reflects Rosa's fascination with the natural world and his interest in exploring the relationship between humans and nature.
The painting suggests that Rosa was trying to convey a sense of the sublime, highlighting the awe-inspiring beauty and power of nature. The soldiers in the foreground suggest a sense of adventure and exploration, highlighting humanity's desire to connect with and understand the natural world.
Overall, I believe that this artwork is important because it highlights the enduring human fascination with nature and the beauty of the natural world. It also serves as a reminder of the power and majesty of nature, and the importance of protecting and preserving our environment. I picked this artwork because of its striking beauty and the way that it invites contemplation and reflection on the relationship between humans and nature.

Sketchbook 2
Balance - Balance refers to the distribution of visual weight within an artwork. It can be symmetrical, meaning both sides of the composition are identical, or asymmetrical, meaning both sides are different but still look balanced. Example: In the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, the subject is placed in the center of the composition, creating a balanced look.
Proportion - Proportion refers to the relationship between different elements in terms of size, scale, and placement. Example: In the statue of David by Michelangelo, the proportion of the figure is carefully balanced, creating a harmonious and natural look.
Contrast - Contrast refers to the use of different elements to create visual interest and make a statement. Example: In Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, the bright stars against the dark sky create strong contrast, making the painting visually appealing.
Unity - Unity refers to the cohesiveness of all elements in an artwork, creating a sense of wholeness. Example: In The Scream by Edvard Munch, the use of similar color palette and repeated lines create unity throughout the painting.
Emphasis - Emphasis refers to the focal point of an artwork, where the artist draws attention to a specific element. Example: In American Gothic by Grant Wood, the couple in the foreground is emphasized through their placement and strong contrast against the background.
Rhythm - Rhythm refers to the repetition of elements in an artwork, creating a sense of movement and flow. Example: In Dancing at La Scala by Degas, the repetition of ballerina figures creates a sense of rhythm and movement throughout the painting.
Title of artwork: Elizabeth Murray: Bop
Figure: Page 122
Ingredients: Dynamic shapes, bright colors, overlapping elements, implied lines, positive and negative space, variation in texture. Method: The artist creates a playful and energetic composition by using dynamic shapes and bright colors. Overlapping elements create depth and interest, while implied lines lead the viewer's eye throughout the painting. The use of positive and negative space adds dimension, and the variation in texture adds interest and contrast. The balance is achieved through the placement of shapes and the harmonious use of color.
Personal experience with color: One time, I walked into a room painted with a bright orange hue and it immediately made me feel energized and awake. The intensity of the color and its high saturation made a strong impact on my mood. If I had to pick a color scheme for my life, I would choose a calming palette of blues and greens, as these colors evoke a sense of peace and relaxation.

I know about the logos that I listed as I see them in my daily life. Each brand that I see creates their logo to call their own. The value of a logo is what creates the core of the brand. When someone sees the brands logo. It is what they imagine. The brand is about and if they know what the brand is the immediately recognize it.

1.Five new facts about Hokusai's The Great Wave Off Kanagawa:
The Great Wave is part of a series of 36 prints called "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji"
The series was published between 1831 and 1833 and was Hokusai's most famous series of prints.
The Great Wave is widely considered to be one of the most iconic images of Japanese art and is Hokusai's most famous work.
The Great Wave is a representation of the power of nature and the struggle of man against it.
Hokusai's Great Wave is also an example of "ukiyo-e" art which means "pictures of the floating world" and refers to the art form's focus on everyday life, entertainment and pleasure
The way I think about the art changed from the first time I looked at it. Initially, I thought it was just a beautiful piece of art, but now I see it as a representation of the power of nature and the struggle of man against it. I also see it as an example of "ukiyo-e" art which focuses on everyday life, entertainment, and pleasure. It's fascinating to see how the art captures the essence of the time and place it was created. The Great Wave is Hokusai's most famous work and it's easy to see why, the image is iconic and powerful. 2. It is made with cut paper to create an image of a bike.
