the boy gave a big wave to mantis, the excitement of the holiday finally getting to him. groot went ahead to climb on her hand, a small piece of candy on his free hand. “i am groot! (i’m happy to see you too!)” he was about to take a bite of his candy when he considered sharing it with the woman first. “i am groot? (do you want this?)” he asked, holding out the small candy with both hands.

Bruce paid attention to what the girl was saying, focusing on the big eyes he had in front of him. Possibly he had not fully grasped what she was saying because of the speed and quantity of things in a single sentence, but in the same way he gave a small smile almost imperceptible. “Well, I do not know if I’m wise, exactly, but I’ve been around for a long time. I guess the experience counts for something,” he said with a calmer tone than the previous one. “The gray hair in me just means that I’m not that young.”

AS GAMORA STEPS AWAY, MANTIS FOLDS HER HANDS BACK IN FRONT OF HER. her usual stance of slumped shoulders and dipped head. at her softness mantis thrives. thinking of her responses carefully with the hopes of not angering her friends. “ you were worried? about me? ” the thought sends words spewing past pale pink lips. “ oh no, gamora. ” eyes fill with panic and she moves in her stance, reaching to touch her in comfort, but stops herself short. she swallows. “ don’t worry. worry is not a good emotion--- i’m fine. ” she assures her, smiling slightly, though its incredibly awkward in her quest to soothe her friend. *

“YEAH I BET THEY DO with a house that big.” Peter comments as he glances at the building and then back to Mantis. “How about we go find some of those and share them?” He suggests since it could be a start to adjustment down here on Terra again. It was good to see his friends again. “Rocket may look that way, but he definitely isn’t anything like a puppy. Live and learn as they say, right?” He says while nudging her gently.
