Chhattisgarh's 75.08% Voting

The second phase of the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections concluded on Friday with a total of 75.08 per cent voting, according to the Election Commission of India. This is slightly lower than the 75.17 per cent voting recorded in the 2018 Assembly elections.
The highest polling percentage was recorded in the Balod district, where 85.19 per cent of eligible voters cast their ballots. The lowest polling percentage was recorded in the Durg district, where 62.62 per cent of eligible voters cast their ballots.
There were reports of violence in some parts of the state during the polling process. In Gariaband district, an IED blast killed an ITBP jawan and injured two others. In Rajnandgaon district, a polling booth was set on fire by unknown miscreants.
Despite the violence, the Election Commission of India has termed the polls as "peaceful and orderly".

In other news, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids on the premises of several businessmen in Chhattisgarh. The raids are part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering.
