There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about which fansites allow editing, or if certain fansites that used to allow editing still do, etc. So a few months ago, with the help of some Korean-speaking friends (thank you!!), I started asking them myself. Below is a list of fansites whose owners I’ve personally spoken with through Twitter, Instagram or email to obtain permission to gif their videos (as well as those who declined).

Please note that I asked specifically about gif-making and only gif-making. It should still be assumed that any other form of editing is prohibited.
