As someone who works on video games, I didn't realize until recently I hadn't actually PLAYED a game in a long time. I was sick last week, which meant I was able to play some new games with my "downtime" (thoroughly frustrating that the only true free time I've had in a while was from being ill, but I digress) and found myself feeling creatively invigorated after playing several games.

Which is all to say, when was the last time you've actually sat down and enjoyed an entirely new thing? If you're feeling creatively slumped, it could be a good idea to get to those games you've been meaning to play, or watch those movies you've been meaning to go see. Having new experiences inspires us and reminds us to see things differently.
