So, I want to show you my vision about modern!Barduil through the construction "Bard, who…, and Thranduil, who…"
Bard, who tries to take his hand, and Thranduil, who gives him only finger.
Bard, who asks for permission to bite or hickey, and Thranduil, who forbids.
Bard who cares, and Thranduil, who gets that care.
Bard who needs help, and Thranduil who helps.
Bard who makes coffee, and Thranduil who makes breakfast.
Bard who pays compliments, and Thranduil, who treats it with restraint, but is grateful.
Bard, who is a "good cop", and Thranduil, who is a "bad cop".
Bard, who looks to the future, and Thranduil, who lives now.
Bard, who tries to act kindly everywhere, and Thranduil, who brings critical thinking and healthy selfishness to this.
Bard, who will pour, and Thranduil, who will drink.
Bard, who hugs him from behind in his sleep, and Thranduil, who smiles covertly.
Bard, who loves Thranduil, and Thranduil, who loves Bard.

Or Torin just has a built-in slow-mo and a playlist with the best vibe tracks.
Don't we all understand that Thorin look like this in movies, because the entire story is told from Bilbo's point of view? And we're just looking at him through the eyes of a lovesick Baggins?

Bagginshield NSFW headcanons
Well, let's get started. I'm still shy.
Bilbo always holds onto him like he's about to fall.
It may seem like Thorin is trying to hold him down, but for Bilbo it's more like a hug. Albeit a little rough.
Bilbo allows only one or two candles to burn and usually closes his eyes, but most often he is persuaded to look at least to each other eyes.

I'm a little ashamed to admit, but I think Thorin's death was pretty good (Not good, but rather right.) for the canon, no matter how much I love him and Bilbo.
It's a perfectly understandable ending for such a character. And it's a good ending.
Well, I mean, he's really happy at this moment. That he had managed to fix something, that Bilbo was around, after all.

I like this contrast between the Bard, who tries to find a peaceful and a fair solution everywhere, and Thranduil, who grins at such naivety.

I just want to show off my pendant. You don't need to know the translation.

In the scene after Bilbo gives the Arkenstone to the Bard and Thranduil, Gandalf tells him that he should get out of here, and Bilbo says that he is not afraid of Thorin...
Baby, your bf is fucked up a lot.
