Rhaenyra I ‘the black Queen’
Tumblr media
«Rhaenyra had a hastily-arranged coronation of her own. The arrival of Ser Steffon Darklyn of the Kingsguard on Dragonstone, accompanied by some other supporters, was therefore celebrated, as they brought with them the crown worn by Jaehaerys I and Viserys. Rhaenyra was crowned with her father's crown by her husband and uncle, Prince Daemon Targaryen. When news of her coronation reached King's Landing, she was offered terms that would let Rhaenyra and her descendants remain rulers of Dragonstone if she renounced her claims, but she refused, knowing that war was inevitable.»

The realm’s delight
Tumblr media
Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen
Rhaenyra had her family's Valyrian looks, wearing her silver-gold hair in a long braid in the manner of Queen Visenya Targaryen. Rhaenyra was a precocious child, bright and bold and beautiful. At the age of fourteen, Rhaenyra was declared by her uncle, Prince Daemon Targaryen, to be the most beautiful maiden in all the Seven Kingdoms. Rhaenyra had a large bosom, but never lost the weight she gained from pregnancies, and she had grown stout and thick of waist at the age of twenty after her third pregnancy. Rhaenyra was proud and stubborn, and there was a certain petulance to her small mouth. Though she could be charming, Rhaenyra was quick to anger and never forgot a slight. She resented her stepmother, Queen Alicent Hightower, but was "fond and more than fond" of Lady Laena Velaryon. Rhaenyra always dressed richly, favoring purple and maroon velvets and golden Myrish lace in intricate patterns. Her bodice often glittered with pearls and diamonds, and there were always rings on her fingers. Whenever she was anxious, she would turn them compulsively around her fingers

The new Queen Alicent with her only daughter🪻
Tumblr media
part one of Helaena’s life in books, commisioned by @/luvisx on twitter
-
Queen Alicent had soon proved to be as fertile as she was pretty. In 107 AC, she bore the king a healthy son, naming him Aegon, after the Conqueror. Two years later, she produced a daughter for the king, Helaena; in 110 AC, she bore him a second son, Aemond, who was said to be half the size of his elder brother, but twice as fierce.

King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne’s children part 7: Princess Daella, lady of the Vale alongside her husband lord Rodrik Arryn.
Tumblr media
Daella was small of stature: on her toes she stood five feet and two inches. Everyone who met her judged her younger than she was in truth, as there was a childish aspect to her. Her mother, Queen Alysanne Targaryen, described Daella as "my little flower". As she grew to maidenhood she was described as pretty, enough to attract the attention of young lords, but wasn't singled out as exceptionally beautiful.
Daella was considered sweet, kind, and gentle, with a tender heart. However, she was also a delicate and shy, tongue-tied girl, who was easily frightened and quick to cry. She liked flowers but was afraid of gardens, bees, and cats.
[…] In 82 AC, after a year and a half of marriage, Daella wrote to her mother in her own hand to inform her of her pregnancy, telling her mother that she was frightened and asking her to come. Alysanne flew to her daughter on Silverwing, arriving three months before Daella was due. Alysanne remained with Daella until she gave birth. Daella went into labor a fortnight too early, and had a long and troubled labor. Although her daughter, Aemma Arryn, was healthy, childbed fever began soon after the birth. Her fever only grew worse, and Daella eventually died, at the age of eighteen

King Jaehaerys and queen Alysanne’s children part 6: The archmaester Vaegon
Tumblr media
Vaegon had the silver-gold hair and purple eyes of the Targaryens. However, he could not be described as "comely": he had a long face and round shoulders, even at a young age. He always had a pinched sour cast to his mouth.
Vaegon was never robust. People considered him to be sour. He was not a coward, but neither took joy from the play of squires and pages. He was a miserable fighter, and not well-trained at arms. He was a bookish boy and much preferred the library, where he could often be found. Books were his only passion.
Vaegon was quiet and wary as a boy. Even as a child, Vaegon was not well-liked, something which did not change over time. When he had to speak he was often blunt, though never intentionally cruel: he always dutifully performed perfunctory courtesies, but no more.

King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne’s children part 2: Princess Alyssa Targaryen
Tumblr media
reposted
In her character, Alyssa took after her brother Baelon. As a child, she did not act like a girl. She would dress in boy's clothes whenever possible, and preferred to ride, climb, and duel with wooden swords over more lady-like activities, and shunned the company of girls. She had a warrior's heart, according to Archmaester Gyldayn. As a child, she refused to eat porridge.
Alyssa was strong, quick, and spirited. She loved to boast that she was "as bawdy a wench as any barmaid in King's Landing".
In 83 AC, Alyssa was announced to be pregnant again. She gave birth the next year, to another son, Aegon. The labor was long and difficult and Alyssa never fully recovered from the childbirth. She died within a year, at the age of twenty-four. Aegon died half a year later, not yet even a year old. Alyssa's death shattered Baelon.

King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne’s children part 2: The pale prince Aemon, and his wife lady Jocelyn pf House Baratheon
Tumblr media
In 92 AC, Aemon led the assault on the Myrish pirates who had conquered the eastern half of Tarth during the struggle known as the Myrish Bloodbath. Aemon left for Tarth on the ninth day of the third month that year, shortly after learning that his daughter Rhaenys was pregnant with her first child. Aemon arrived before the fleet of his son-by-marriage, Lord Corlys Velaryon. On Tarth, Aemon met with Lord Cameron Tarth in the mountains located at the center of the island, where the Lord of Tarth had made camp. A pair of Myrish scouts eventually discovered the camp, and recognized Lord Cameron. One of them took a shot at Lord Cameron with his crossbow. Although he missed Lord Tarth, Aemon, who had been standing by Lord Cameron's side, was struck in his throat, and drowned in his own blood.

sorry for inactivity🥱 aemon and jocelyn comin nexttt
“The following year, the epidemic reachedKing's landing; King Jaehaerys ordered that the gates of the Red Keep and that the guard of the wall will be doubled. However, one night at the hour of the owl, Queen Alysanne woke up when she felt her arm being waved gently; it was Princess Daenerys saying:
‘Mother, I'm cold.’
As much as possible was tried for the princess to regain her health; prayers, poultices, soups, scalding baths, blankets, skins, hot stones and nettle infusions, a brood mistress was even called because there were those who claimed that breast milk could heal thechills. Finally, a day and a half after waking up her mother complaining of cold, Princess Daenerys died.”
