LIPSTICKS & CASES

I don’t know about you but my phone cases are like my lipstick, they change according to the mood i am in. I can never stick to one case because when i see something that catches my eyes i have to have it, EXACTLY LIKE LIPSTICK! With lipsticks i might be attracted in the same colors but to me they are all different! From the texture, finishes, tones, and more! I like to venture out in my lipstick and i’m down with trying different vampy colors. I haven’t tried any crazy colors like blue or blacks but maybe one day i will. Does anyone else have this obsession? Please tell me i’m not the only one. LOL!

TRAVEL SIZED BEAUTY PRODUCTS/ SAMPLES:

I love Travel Sized Beauty Products and samples because first it’s really essential for me to try something out before i invest in it, especially if it’s expensive. I would hate to buy something that’s hurts my pocket because of the uneasy expense and ends up to be shitty, so to avoid that i would buy the travel size first or ask for a sample if its available. If any employee in a beauty or makeup store asks me if i want a sample that is an automatic yes for me! It’s not just great to try out, it’s also handy if you go on vacation or go out of town and don’t want to bring so much things that make your bag heavy. Travel Size products are also great because if you can’t afford buying the full sized product you are able to have a smaller amount but just enough of that great product you need in your life. It’s great because even though these products might be smaller in size, it will still last you a good amount of time, depending on how much you use it of course. I stock up on sample and travel sized goodies because you never know when you need it and they are just so great to have!

FEB 2015 FAVORITES:

The time has come and it’s already the end of February! This month my skin has been hating me for some reason hence me having to tone down my makeup routine and making me very cautious on what i put on my face. My daily look would be very minimal which these products helped me to achieve to make me look decent though out the day. lol! As of now i am glad that my skin has been clearing up and hopefully it stays that way! I know you all have been seeing these products on my IG posts on the daily but it’s all because they work so well for me. I really recommend these all and hope your able to try and love them as much as i did this month. Nyx”Toasted Mashmellow” Butter Gloss ($5.99): Im not a big fan of gloss but the only exception i have is for Nyx butter glosses! When i heard that Nyx decided to amp up the pigmentation on thier butter glosses i was soooo ready to get my hands on one! Toast Marshmallow was the color that i knew i needed once i saw it! It was either Toasted Marshmallow or Chocolate Crepe, but Chocolate Crepe was sold out so i went with of course my second choice. This gloss is so bomb because if applied a little amount with this color it looks very natural and if applied more it is very vivid and the color is very rich and just pops! The price for these are so affordable you won’t feel guilty buying more than one color!

Milani “Rose Femme” Lipstick ($5.49): This is a all around great lipstick and available in a variety of colors. This color is so me because you know i can’t get enough of my mauves! If your not a fan of scented lipsticks this might not be for you because it smells like “watermelon jolly ranchers” which doesn’t bother me one bit. Some say the finish on this is matte but i say it’s very creamy but not intensely shinny. It’s comfortable to wear on the daily and i really like it!

Nyx “Flutter Kisses” High Voltage Lipstick ($4.99): This color is exactly the same as Stila Patina but in a lipstick form! These lipsticks are soooo pigmented as the intense butter glosses are. The finish has a little shine but nothing unflattering.  If you run this lipstick on your lips one time your good, thats how pigmented! Another affordable lipstick worth every penny!

Too Faced “Chocolate Bar” Palette ($49.00): Everyone knows how great this product is, but i was just late to join the band wagon which i say was sooooo great for me because i was able to get the special HNS was having which was the palette, shadow insurance, a lipstick, and the better then sex mascara all for $49.00, that’s the cost of one palette  but your getting the mascara, shadow insurance and lipstick for free! Winner! I have been loving this palette so much because it has all the great neutral colors you need, and to add the scent it amazing!

Maybelline “Great Lash” Mascara Gel ($4.39): I don’t use this as mascara gel, i use it as eyebrow gel and it works phenomenal! This product as brow gel keeps my brows in place and the wand is skinny and just right to get in my brows. It’s as if it is hairspray for my eyebrows. Some eyebrow gel makes the product already on your brows fade but with this i don’t have that problem. I will definitely be repurchasing this again and again!

Too Faced “Better than sex” Mascara ($23.00): This came a long with my HSN set and i don’t think it’s better than sex but really good for mascara! LOL! It’s super black and applies to the lashes great! Does not leave spidery finish while lengthening them a lot!

Shiseido Sunblock ($19.99): I recently added this to my makeup routine, and im sad i didn’t do it earlier! I love this sunblock so much because i feel it really preps my skin and helps it stay healthy throughout the day! When i purchased this Shiseido Sunscreen from Sephora the sales lady told be that all the professional surfers use this sunblock because it’s waterproof and really helps the skin from harsh UV rays, wrinkles, freckles, etc. sing sunscreen before moisturizer and primer actually lessens my oiliness and i was really amazed about that. This step is something i will be incorporating to my daily routine permanently, and i recommend everyone else to as well!

First Aid Beauty “Ultra Repair Cream” ($12.00): I use it morning and night. At first I thought it was a bit thick and heavy but as it drys on your face it feels very light and soft. It kinda has the same effect as liquid to powder foundations (so you can have an idea of it)  It works very well for me and without it my face is tight and dry even though my face gets oily.

MAC “Blush All Day” Blush ($22.00): This color is so natural looking, not to pink not to warm, just right! I need this on the days were i use very minimal amount of makeup to add some color to my face. The name is so accurate because it literally looks like your blushing all day!

MAC: Brush Cleanser, Worth it?

All though I know there is a lot of cheaper alternatives on cleaning makeup brushes, like baby shampoo, olive oil, etc. every time  i visit a MAC store i always eye this brush cleanser because knowing MAC, you can never go wrong with them right? For the price i thought it was a good amount of product so i one day decided to try it out, but unfortunately it didn’t amaze me. If you’ve been following me for some time now you probably know that i use the bare minerals brush shampoo, im almost out so i was excited when i got this. It’s sad because i feel that the bare minerals shampoo does a better job in cleaning my brushes plus you only need a small amount,but with the MAC cleanser i feel like i need to use a lot more to clean just a few brushes. The MAC cleanser is not practical to buy if you have a load of brushes to clean, i would probably just use  the rest that i have for spot cleaning. I was adviced by one of my followers to transfer some in a spray bottle to spot clean your brushes and not waste too much product. I will not purchase this again in the future because if it’s only good for spot cleaning then i would rather buy the Sephora brand spot cleanser which i feel works awesome! So in conclusion if your thinking “I want to try this because of the brand,it must be good!” i say no boo! Save you money and just go for something cheaper because it works just as good! Shout out to my fave make up brushes which are real techniques! So affordable and made so sturdy! I bet everyone in the world owns at least one real techniques brush right? LOL!

Update: MAKEUP SWAP!

Their brand holds such quality products that are sometimes as good as high end makeup for a fraction of the price! For me Nyx is so awesome because they cater to every person, no matter your age or status in life, either your a mom or a teen going to school you can afford Nyx products! They have a wide range of products like lipsticks to primers to foiled eyeshadows and the list goes on! Why can’t all makeup brands be afforable to the mass and of quality right? Nyx helps out in fulfilling that. What ever look your trying to pull of you can definitely do with this makeup line, from goth to girly!

Even though there is sooo many products to choose from Nyx cosmetics my favorite thing they sell are their lip products. From their butter glosses, to their matte creams,  to matte lipsticks, original lipsticks, intense lip butters, high voltage lipstick, etc! You don’t need to look anywhere else to find great lip products because Nyx provides you with you so many varieties to choose from. The color range is endless making you want every single color. It’s normal to find products that may disappoint you because what you expected was no as promised but whats great with NYX is that you are please more then disappointed, and even if you are you wont be that sad because the price didn’t hurt which i feel is such a great thing!  I can go on and on about how amazing this brand is but all in all Nyx Cosmetics makes you look good, and feel good because you don’t have that  guilt for splurging which to me is FANTASTIC! I know that there’s so much more to expect from Nyx this year and i’m soooo excited for them aren’t you?! Its a @maccosmetics sunday! MAC is one of my favorite brands because you know that you can never go wrong with it! They have a wide variety of cosmetic products and everything you need is mostly all in one store. For a high end brand, they have resonable prices and their products last a long time anyway. MAKEUP ERASER DUPE?

Ok so we went to Walmart lastnight and i stumbled on this nice find near check out because i forced myself not to look in the makeup aisle to avoid temptations lol! It reminded me so much of the "makeup earaser" so i said i have to try it! It says on that back that is made up of plush microfibers to take off dirt,makeup, and even waterproof makeup! Its very smart in also indicting that its economical for routine uses to eliminate disposable clothes and save money which of course is a great thing! It comes with 3 in a pack. The instructions says it can be used by itself or with a facial cleanser. I haven't tried it out yet but once it do, ill post a review on my blogs and let you beauties know if this is a DUPE for the makeup eraser!

Beauty Blender: Worth it?

Before i was like $20 for a beauty sponge?? Ill pass! But once i gave in i shockingly saw the difference! Once the beauty blender is damped and bloats its applys concealer or foundations so fast and blends so seemlessly. Its great to be applied in a dabbing motion instead of a swipping motion for better coverage. Its so squishy and i see that the others compaired to the beauty blender is more dense which lessens the poncing movement that helps a lot in foundation and concealer application. All though the "dupes" still get the job done if compaired to thr beauty blender,theres nothing like it. I recently got the "red carpet" limited edition beauty blender and if your thinking of buying it because its "limited edition" dont because its red only when you first have it but once you use it, it turns pink, and even though you clean it, its still pink. I noticed that when i cleaned it for the first time there was a red color i nthe water which was wierd, making me think that as i wash my beauty blender the color with fade and fade every time. As you can see they both look pink. But thats just the color, the product alone is awesome and worth investing that $20 in, plus it will last you a long time as they say! Ps. The other sponge is from a brand called soho london available in the drugstore and is one of the best alternatives if you really can't find it in you to splurge.

TOP 3 LIPPIES:

These are my TOP 3 Lip products, which i keep in my bag because I use them on a daily. They are my all time favorite color that is my GO TO: mauves,dusty rose,pinkish brown, or MLBB. They are all similar in color but differ in scent, texture, and finishes. I love all of them for different reasons:

Maybelline " Touch of Spice" ($5.99): I love the finish of this lipstick the most out of the 3. It is a matte finish but still is very comfortable on the lips having a touch of creaminess to it. The color is a true mauve, just enough pink and just enough brown in it. The scent smells like lipstick but nothing over powering and nothing that will bother you. The packaging looks very nice with a frosted grape colored cover in a rectangular shape form. Overall the price is right, the product is great, and i will repurchase over and over again.

Milani "Rose Femme" ($5.49): The finish on this almost looks matte but has a subtle shine to it. This lipstick is more moisturizing and comfortable to wear. The color is more on the pink side but still has brown undertones. The scent is what makes the Milani lipsticks stand out because it smells like a watermelon jolly rancher. The scent is a bit strong and it doesn't bug me too much but if your not into scented lipsticks this might not be for you.  The packaging is a gold tube with the color of the lipstick and lipstick name indicated on the bottom part of it. Some people say it looks cheap looking and stuff but i really like it, because i love the color gold. Overall this another product i really like and will repurchase too.

Bite Beauty Lip Crayon"Glace" ($24.00): Out of the 3 this one differs in the form because its a retractable crayon which makes it easy to apply and very convenient to bring around with you. The finish is also matte but a slightly creamier. The color is almost exactly the same as the Maybelline "Touch of Spice" which makes it that a great DUPE if you don't want to spend that $24.00. Even though i really like this lipstick it will probably take me more time to repurchase due to the price and i feel like there are brands that make better lipsticks for that price. Maybe ill try their lipsticks next.

I decided to join @faceofsjw on a ONE MONTH makeup ban, where for one month we will not be spending any money on makeup and making use with what we already have. I admit to owning more makeup then i need, but I just have such pleasure in using new products, seeing what works, having every color, and just having more and more makeup! I know most girls know what im talking about and i know that this will be hard but CHALLENGE EXCEPTED! Ill just wait until i receive my package from @faceofsjw because that will make the whole month worth it! Just to remind all of you me and @faceofsjw are having a MAKEUP SWAP! We sent out our packages already and are just waiting for them to arrive. It’s very exciting and i can’t wait to share with all of you the things she picked out for me.

I looked through my makeup collection and found only 3 products that i hit pan on, which comes to show that i only have a few products that i actually use all up before buying something new. These 3 products is my much loved Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (travel size), Pür Minerals Mineral Powder, and NYC Sunny Bronzer. At the end of the month i will post if i used up any other products or hit pan on. This will all be very tempting but i think i will be able to handle it. I hope! Other beauty products such as lotion, brush cleaners, makeup removers, etc. are not included.

BREAK OUTS SUCK: My current tone-downed Daily makeup look

I been busy with work lately and been breaking out like crazy for some reason. I don't know if its because of my skincare routine or maybe stress? As my face has been hating me lately I came up with this makeup line up that has been making me look decent and somehow making my skin look healthier than it really is nowadays. I currently added sunblock to my makeup routine and i think it has been the best decision ever! When i purchased this Shiseido Sunscreen from Sephora the sales lady told be that all the professional surfers use this sunblock because it's waterproof and really helps the skin from harsh UV rays, wrinkles, freckles, etc. I thought of buying face sunblock for my upcoming trip to Miami so I did, and it sucks that i didn't think about using this earlier. Using sunscreen before moisturizer and primer actually lessens my oiliness and i was really amazed about that. This step is something i will be incorporating to my daily routine permanently, and i recommend everyone else to as well! I skip foundation and go directly to concealer, blend it out with my beauty blender then set it with powder. Using the beauty blender to blend out my concealer has been a dream, very quick and seamlessly flattering. After that I add my favorite blush that as you can see is well loved from the tape lol, just to add some color to my face and Im ready to go! I skip the brows and just add some lip balm and im ready for work. Once my skin is back to normal i will then wear my usual makeup routine that is not toned down.

FIRST AID BEAUTY:

I’ve been completely in love with First Aid Beauty recently. I decided one day to try it out because I’ve been going though ugly annoying break outs and i wanted to find something that could help mend it. I’ve been hearing great things about this skin care line from some of my fave you-tubers like MANNYMUA and MAKEUPBYRITZ so i decided to see for myself. It says on the cleanser that its great for sensitive skin which I knew that would be good for me.  It takes off excess makeup which was another plus. I’ve been using the cleanser and moisturizer for some time now and been improving my skin. The cleanser makes my face feel extra clean and like all the dirt deep within my pores are gone. Even though it says its for sensitive skin that doesn’t mean its not strong enough to do it’s job, because it does! When i decide i need to exfoliate my face i use this after my exfoliater.

I went with my sister so she can get a complimentary make over at SEPHORA VENETIAN. I still have my coupon from becoming a VIB member and i let her use it for her date because it was going to expire soon! So while she was getting glammed up i looked around and bought some goodies.
