The second drawing of the series, Making of Arda, which, being the lazy ass that i am, took me more than a month to finish.
Featuring Melkor showing to an adorable fire spirit he met how to control and materialize his inner flame - i used another color palette, which i hardly respected and remotely remember where it came from.
Hope you like it!

The Silmarillion Aesthetic: Beren, Finrod and Sauron in Tol-in-Gaurhoth
‘Whom do ye serve, Light or Mirk? Who is the maker of mightiest work? Who is the king of earthly kings, the greatest giver of gold and rings? Who is the master of the wide earth? Who despoiled them of their mirth, the vain Valar? Repeat your vows, Orcs of Bauglir! Do not bend your brows. Death to light, to law, to love; cursed be moon and stars above; may darkness everlasting old that waits outside in surges cold drown Manwë, Varda and the sun; may all is hatred be begun and all in evil ended be in the moaning of the endless Sea!’
But no true Man nor Elf yet free would ever speak that blasphemy.

“Of Númenor there are many things in which one may say; it is the land of men who become kings and kings who thrive amongst the gods. All who dwell here know well the prowess of Tar-Mairon, whom peers over the golden city and sees all done below. But one would be a fool to question the might of Ar-Pharazôn, twenty fifth king in reign. Such title deserved to be that of queen, for sweet Míriel now rests amongst silken cloth, silent and hardened in heart. How far have we come from the teachings of Unien and Ossë, who tend to the fickle tides of the sea. How many whisper of the plight of Isildur the Dúnadan who plucked from the ashes of animosity, a plump wright fruit. We look beyond the sea towards Middle Earth, where the teaching of the elves and the feats of Gil-Galad have turned from our faces. What will become of this vast empire is left to question; as to whom shall rise and whom have already fallen.”
In recent plotting of my Númenor comic, I can at least introduce us all to the major players that we already know and will come to know even more so.
Hopefully in my next teaser, I can introduce several of the supporting characters. But I’m curious to see who you’ll be rooting for..
